ALLAH IS ONE
Transcript
00:00I was totally captivated by it, loved it, so then I thought maybe Islam's the answer.
00:06Really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.
00:08We'll be discussing that and also revisiting
00:11Liam Neeson's trip that he did years ago to Turkey.
00:14Yeah, so you have been traveling a lot, huh?
00:16Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:18And this movie takes place in Istanbul.
00:20Istanbul, Turkey.
00:21And how was that?
00:22We'll also touch upon the and then.
00:24It's into your soul and became the most magnificent wake up call.
00:46Are you guys ready?
00:46I thought this was very important now.
00:48We all knew about the trip that Liam Neeson.
00:51Who's Liam Neeson?
00:52Liam Neeson is a very, very famous actor.
00:56He's from Irish descent and he is known for some films.
01:00I believe he was filming Taken 2 in Turkey.
01:03That was some time ago.
01:04That was years ago, actually.
01:06And the word got around that he was considering accepting Islam.
01:10But maybe Islam's the answer.
01:12Really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.
01:15So let's get into this clip.
01:17Let's watch it again.
01:18There's another part to it that I never seen until now.
01:21Someone sent it to me.
01:22So that's what had me want to revisit this.
01:25And go ahead and derive some benefits from it.
01:27So let's get into the clip.
01:28And this movie takes place in Istanbul.
01:30Istanbul, Turkey.
01:31And how was that?
01:33It was beautiful.
01:34It's a stunning city.
01:36It used to be in the old days known as Constantinople.
01:39It's the gateway between the West and the East.
01:41Right.
01:42It's rich culturally, historically.
01:45And there are 4000.
01:47So he's talking about his trip.
01:49He was filming a movie, a film in Turkey.
01:51And one point from here that we can derive from people who've been fed a lot of this
01:55hate about Muslims.
01:56And if you go to a predominantly Muslim country and you're a not yet Muslim, a non-Muslim,
02:01that you're going to get your head chopped off.
02:02You're going to all sorts of evil is going to happen to you.
02:05Do what he did.
02:06Do what many have done.
02:07Visit a predominantly Muslim country and see how you're treated.
02:10I mean, talk to people.
02:11Get out of your comfort zone.
02:13Get out of your village.
02:14Get out of your local area, your block and travel.
02:18This is another way to eradicate some of this anti-Islamism, this anti-Muslim fear
02:24that many people have connect.
02:26And if you can't leave your town or if you can't leave your city, visit a mosque, visit
02:32some Muslims.
02:32So let's continue on.
02:34The call to prayer starts at 5 a.m.
02:37every morning.
02:38So when you have your alarm clock set for 6 a.m., it's the first week.
02:44It was a bit annoying.
02:46Do you get used to it?
02:47But by the second week, Ellen, it just gets into your soul.
02:50Yeah.
02:53Here's a beautiful thing.
02:55You don't know.
02:56Now, you know he was talking about the call to prayer.
02:58This is the Adhan.
02:59He was hearing it and he was just in the beginning because he would set his alarm clock for six.
03:05But then the Adhan, the call to prayer would go off at about four.
03:11And this is the first Muslims.
03:13Remember, a Muslim is one who submits his or her will.
03:16Because every person wants to have peace, contentment, solace in life.
03:20I mean, so when a person realizes what their purpose in life is and they connect to the
03:24one who created this world and tells them what their purpose is, they sincerely, humbly
03:29try to live that purpose.
03:31That person is considered a Muslim, one who only submits to God, to the creator of heavens
03:35and earth.
03:36So then he's talking about how he would hear this Adhan, the call to prayer.
03:43And then at first, it was just annoying.
03:45But then it just got into his heart.
03:47It got into his soul.
03:49So you guys, most of you have seen this.
03:51And then I'll get to the part soon, which is the new part for me, at least.
04:05What was just said, it says, God is the greatest.
04:08Allah, God Almighty.
04:09Allah just simply means God, the God, the only one worthy of worship.
04:12So he would hear this.
04:14He would hear the Adhan.
04:15And it's just saying that God is the greatest.
04:18God is the greatest.
04:19There's nothing worthy of worship except God, except the creator of the heavens and earth.
04:24So then we move on.
04:26And this is the clip now that I wanted to get into.
04:39It's kind of quite nice.
04:40But third week, I was totally captivated by it.
04:43Loved it.
04:45So then I thought, maybe Islam's the answer.
04:50I don't see any prayer rugs around.
04:51So I don't think you've made the leap.
04:53No, I haven't made the big leap yet.
04:55I'm not sure what they think in Balimina.
04:56That wouldn't get done very well.
04:58That would not.
04:59They'd say, oh, Muslim.
05:00Are you a Catholic Muslim or a Protestant Muslim?
05:04That's what that would be.
05:05Now, that's really what caught my attention.
05:07Loved it.
05:08Captivated.
05:08Just the same story.
05:09He's repeating it, but this time to Anderson Cooper.
05:12So I wanted to take this time now to hopefully that many of us can get on board.
05:16And we can go ahead and try to revive what possibly Liam Neeson lost at that time.
05:22And many people, because anything worthwhile takes effort.
05:26It takes effort.
05:27So at that time, Liam Neeson, he experienced something.
05:32And then he came back home to share his experience.
05:34And you saw he was on different TV, the Ellen Show, the Anderson Cooper interview and others.
05:41And there was a talk about him potentially accepting Islam.
05:44We just finished in Istanbul.
05:46We were there for two months, just before Christmas.
05:50Beautiful city, unbelievable place.
05:53And the call to prayer happens five times a day.
05:56And for the first week, it drives you crazy.
05:57And then it just gets into your spirit.
06:00It's the most beautiful, beautiful thing.
06:04And these mosques, there's 4,000 mosques in the city.
06:08Some of them are just, they're stunning.
06:10Really makes me think about becoming a Muslim, becoming a Muslim, becoming a Muslim.
06:14That was the talk of the town.
06:16But you can imagine how much heat and how much pressure
06:20would be on someone of that magnitude accepting Islam.
06:24Again, just to qualify what Islam means.
06:26Again, Islam simply means to acquire peace.
06:28Everything you, I, everyone wants in life, peace.
06:32And the only way a person's gonna have that true peace and contentment in life,
06:36when everything's going wrong, when everything's upside down,
06:39because there's no perfect life.
06:40There's no paradise in this life.
06:41Paradise is for the next life.
06:42When a person is living purpose, that's when they get that peace.
06:45And that's what Islam is.
06:47It calls a person to have peace with their creator by submitting his or her will
06:51to the one who created creation, the one and only creator of the heavens and earth,
06:54God Almighty, Allah.
06:55That's what Islam is.
06:56So Liam Neeson was considering that.
06:58He was considering accepting Islam.
07:00He said, maybe, is Islam the answer?
07:03I was totally captivated by it, loved it.
07:06So then I thought, maybe Islam's the answer.
07:09It really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.
07:11But the question is, what if it is the answer?
07:13And we know 100%, without a doubt, Islam is the answer.
07:17Submission to the creation is not the answer,
07:20but submission, if we rephrase it, to the creator is the answer.
07:23So we want to take this opportunity, invite Liam Neeson to come back
07:27to that original state when he was there.
07:29When he was there in Turkey, he experienced that and compare.
07:32And same thing for everyone out there.
07:34Someone who had some exposure to Islam or someone who is just looking.
07:37They look and remember this.
07:39Look, you don't like scream and fuss when someone's inviting you to something bad.
07:43When someone's inviting you to go to the nightclub, to go to a pub, to a bar,
07:46you don't scream at that person.
07:48So when somebody's inviting you, when your friend or your neighbor, your colleague,
07:51when someone is inviting you to the most beautiful thing that you can do,
07:54to have a connection with the creator of the heavens and earth,
07:56to live your true purpose in life,
07:58you should feel a sense of happiness.
08:02That this person has actually called me to something good, something great.
08:05So all of us can be a part of that to help get this to any individual out there
08:09who's seeking peace and purpose, especially our friend Liam Neeson,
08:13who I'm sure at that time was really considering accepting Islam.
08:17So you guys heard the statement that whatever you focus on, it grows.
08:20And whatever you neglect, it withers and dies.
08:22So now at that time, or at this time, you right now,
08:26you've considered like, okay, I've experimented everything.
08:29You're not even at that level of Liam Neeson,
08:30where you've been in all these films, you got all this money,
08:32and all the pleasures of this life open up in front of you.
08:36But maybe you've had those things, you've been dreaming about those things.
08:39You might not ever acquire those things.
08:41Maybe you have, I don't know.
08:44But there is one thing, that you are, you're tired, you're exhausted.
08:49You really want to know, what's your purpose in life?
08:51Why am I here?
08:51Everything around you has a purpose.
08:54What about the human being?
08:55So we invite Liam Neeson to go back to that state, how he was feeling then.
09:00Because time has passed, and the person is just getting closer to their DD departure date.
09:04And it's really time to think like, how many more movies am I going to make?
09:08How many more Grammy events am I going to be invited to?
09:11How many more fake people am I going to be around?
09:14How many more nightclubs am I going to go to?
09:16How many times am I going to go get drunk and have hangovers?
09:19And how many men, how many women I'm going to be with?
09:22And how much money does it take to make me happy?
09:24At the end of the day, nothing will truly fill your heart with peace, contentment, solace.
09:32It's only when you connect your heart back to the creator of the heart.
09:35When you connect your heart back to the creator of the heavens and earth.
09:37And when you start living purpose.
09:39And I'm not talking about taking the means.
09:42Because there are many means to the ultimate purpose.
09:46To have a family, that's one of the means.
09:49To make a honest day's living is one of the means.
09:53But I'm talking about to really live life according to how your creator wants you to live.
09:58And back to that statement.
09:59Whatever you focus on grows.
10:01Imagine now when you're given that opportunity.
10:03Like right now or Liam Neeson at that time.
10:06And a lot of times we have that mentality.
10:08That like winning team mentality.
10:10And we have the truth is always being attacked.
10:12Islam is always being attacked.
10:14So now you feel like okay, what are people going to say?
10:18So time still goes on and people forget.
10:20But you trade it off.
10:21You sold your soul.
10:22You sold yourself.
10:24More for what?
10:24For fame, for money, for popularity.
10:26Rather than that treasure was presented in front of you.
10:31And how many people they lose that treasure.
10:33Because they're more worried.
10:34Is that group think mentality.
10:37What my friends, foes are going to say if I go down this direction.
10:42I'm not sure what they think about me now.
10:43That would get done very well.
10:45That would not.
10:46They'd say, oh Muslim.
10:47Are you a Catholic Muslim or a Protestant?
10:50So nobody's perfect.
10:51Practice makes progress.
10:52So take some time.
10:53Little baby steps.
10:54Start to leave off some of the vices.
10:56Some of the things that you know are not good for you.
10:58Start forming a direct connection with your creator.
11:00By asking the creator for guidance.
11:03For guidance.
11:04And start surrounding yourself by good people.
11:06Who will be a good example around you.
11:08Cut off the bad friends.
11:09Cut off the bad company.
11:11Cut off the bad places that you know you shouldn't be around.
11:14And start to clean up your life.
11:16And break the biggest idol.
11:19That can be you most of the time.
11:21Your ego.
11:22And really humble yourself.
11:24And then start looking into Islam.
11:26Really look at Islam.
11:27Look what Islam is all about.
11:28Look what Islam calls you to.
11:30Take a look at it.
11:31Just humbly.
11:32Sincerely.
11:32So get to know Islam.
11:33Get to look into Islam.
11:34So I just wanted to share this with you.
11:35Because I thought it was very very important.
11:38And the key message.
11:39When the truth comes to you.
11:40Take advantage of it.
11:41It came to him at that time.
11:43He was in a Muslim country.
11:45It really touched his heart.
11:47The Adhan.
11:48And in the Adhan.
11:49The purpose of life is mentioned.
11:50That there's nothing worthy of worship.
11:51That's that first statement.
11:52Except the creator of the heavens and earth.
11:53Allah and Muhammad is his slave servant.
11:56And final messenger.
11:57So get to know what this statement means.
11:59Get to know Islam from the correct sources.
12:03Not from people who are perpetuating hate and misinformation.
12:07And tune into the Deen Show.
12:08So hopefully you can grow.
12:11And learn the pure monotheism.
12:14That the creator calls the human being.
12:15Through Islam to have.
12:17And that system of living a morally upright life.
12:20The blueprint for life.
12:21That's all there in Islam.
12:24So Liam Neeson.
12:25Hopefully God willing.
12:26Some of the Deen Show fans can get this message to him.
12:29And others who are really searching to know.
12:32What their purpose in life is.
12:33Why they're here.
12:34And where they're going.
12:35Most importantly.
12:36When they leave this world.
12:37Because at the end of this journey.
12:39There is a paradise.
12:40And there is a hellfire.
12:41So what we live for in this life.
12:43Will determine where we're going.
12:45In the next life.
12:47So we ask God Almighty to guide us.
12:50All of us.
12:50So we can live a beautiful pure life.
12:53A life how God Almighty wants us to live in this life.
12:56So we can get the wonderful rewards of Jannah Paradise in the next.
12:58And we can avoid the hellfire.
