00:02In this video, I will explain the ending of Wildflower, so, let's begin.

00:06Wildflower is a dramedy film about Bambi Johnson, the daughter of mentally challenged parents

00:10who perseveres through a considerably difficult upbringing.

00:14Here's everything you need to know about the ending, just to let you know this video will

00:17contain spoilers.

00:19Bee is rushed to the hospital after falling into a coma and she is visited by her chaotic

00:23family.

00:24She decides to go back to the beginning of her story to explain how she ended up there.

00:29Sharon was a 21-year-old woman whose brain hadn't completely developed while Derek had

00:32a traumatic brain injury when he was 12 that stunted his mental and emotional growth.

00:37They fall in love with each other and eventually have a child named Bambi after Sharon's favorite

00:41cartoon character.

00:43In the beginning, Sharon's parents, Peg and Earl, help take care of Bee.

00:47Earl doesn't want to take care of yet another child and Derek wants to move closer to his

00:51mother, Loretta, in Las Vegas.

00:54Derek and Sharon move to Nevada and initially live in a van before eventually buying a house.

00:59At the hospital, a social worker named Mary shows up to find out how Bee ended up in a

01:03coma and she begins talking to all of her family members.

01:06B.E.A.'s childhood was quite joyful and fun as Sharon and Derek did their best to provide

01:11for her.

01:12However, at the age of 10, her parents began dumping more responsibility on her and Derek

01:17even taught her how to drive.

01:19He promised her anything she wanted if she learned how to drive and Bee eventually gets

01:22a dog she names Godzilla.

01:24One day, Sharon leaves the door open and Godzilla runs out so Bee decides to use the truck to

01:28go after him.

01:30She crashes it and that's the first time she met Mary.

01:33She tells the social worker that she doesn't want to keep Godzilla because she cannot take

01:37care of him and her parents at the same time.

01:40After this incident, B.E.A.'s aunt and uncle, Joy and Ben decide that maybe it would be

01:44good if she spent some time with them.

01:46They soon realize that Bee needs some serious parental guidance so they take a more active

01:50role in her life.

01:52Bee begins going to private school where she becomes best friends with Nia and eventually

01:55begins dating Ethan, the new kid.

01:58Ethan is a cancer survivor and the son of rich parents.

02:01Bee does really well in school but she is constantly having to worry about her parents

02:05and whether they can take care of themselves.

02:08Her counselor, Mr. Vasquez, keeps pushing her to apply for college but she is hesitant

02:12about it.

02:13She begins spending more time with Ethan and agrees to go to prom but this puts a strain

02:17on her friendship with Nia.

02:19While she's outside, her parents get arrested for a misunderstanding and Bee has to bail

02:23them out with money that she saved up.

02:25This builds up resentment in her and she says some harsh words to her parents when they

02:29get back.

02:30She tells Mr. Vasquez that she isn't going to a fancy college because he parents cannot

02:34survive without her.

02:36What happens between Bee and Ethan?

02:39After talking to Mr. Vasquez, Bee takes Ethan home after deciding to ditch classes.

02:44She tells him that she isn't going to college because she has to take care of her parents.

02:48Bee tells her that she has convinced herself that they cannot manage without her even though

02:51they managed just fine when she was a baby and would probably be fine if she went to

02:55college.

02:57Bee doesn't agree and even brings up the fact that she might need to take care of him if

03:00his cancer ever came back.

03:02He takes offense to this and walks out of her place, breaking up with her.

03:06How does Bee end up in the coma?

03:08Bee doesn't feel too good after her conversation with Ethan so she goes to Nia's place and

03:12makes peace with her.

03:14She asks her if they could go somewhere and hang out but Nia says that she is now going

03:17to prom.

03:19Bee helps her get ready and then goes back home.

03:22She feels extremely lonely and ends up drinking a bottle of whiskey before going out on the

03:26streets where she runs into her classmate's older brother.

03:29He's in college and he tries to take advantage of her intoxicated state but she realizes

03:33that she shouldn't be there.

03:35She tries to push back as he's urging her to get back in the car but she slips and falls

03:39down, hitting the back of her head.

03:41The boys panic and drop her outside the hospital before rushing out.

03:45What happens to Bee?

03:47Bee eventually wakes up and tells her parents that she loves them as well as the rest of

03:50her family.

03:52When Mary leaves after conducting her review, Bee asks her if her family was the craziest

03:56she's ever seen to which Mary replies they aren't.

03:59Bee makes up with Ethan and is eventually discharged from the hospital.

04:03She gradually recovers during her final year of high school and graduates with Nia and

04:07the rest of her class.

04:09Her entire family is there for the graduation and Bee gets ready for a new chapter as she

04:13got into UCLA after finally applying.

04:15She is currently in her junior year of college while Sharon and Derek live a happy life as

04:19empty nesters.
