00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel. In this video, I will explain the ending of Puss in Boots,

00:05The Last Wish, so, let's begin.

00:07Puss in Boots, The Last Wish, is a 2022 adventure comedy directed by Joel Crawford. Spoilers

00:13for the film's ending follow.

00:15The movie follows the story of a legend, an outlaw, a cat with his boots, cape, belt,

00:20and sword on, Puss.

00:22Puss is on his last life after his eighth death where he was killed by a bell falling

00:26from the sleeping giant that wracked havoc just seconds before Puss slew it.

00:31Puss, after meeting a bounty hunter who is after his head, for the first time experiences

00:35fear since the bounty hunter drew blood which had never happened before.

00:40Puss decides it's time for the legend to die and settles into his new life as a housecat

00:44in a cat sanctuary, meeting a nameless dog Perrito during that time.

00:48A few days, months, or weeks later, we're introduced to four characters from another

00:53fairy tale, Papa Bear, Mama Bear, Baby Bear, and Goldilocks that have come to hire Puss

00:58to steal a map from Little but turn Big Jack Horner.

01:01This leads to the wish that'll be granted to the one who finds it deep in the magical

01:05dark forest.

01:07Puss hides away and comes to an idea, he'll steal the map himself and grant himself a

01:10wish to get all of his nine lives back.

01:13Perrito follows along and in the process of stealing the map, he meets up with Kitty that

01:17also decides to try and steal it.

01:20The three embark on an adventure together, reach the dark forest, and now have to navigate

01:24through the mystery that it is.

01:27While trying to navigate through it, it's revealed that Kitty and Puss have some beef,

01:30they were supposed to get married, but Puss bailed because he felt fear for the first

01:34time in his life.

01:36The map looks at your heart and sets up a path in three acts that'll have you struggling

01:40with your greatest fears and darkest desires.

01:43Of course, Jack Horner, Goldilocks, and the gang have come to fight to get the map and

01:47the wish.

01:48In the meantime, it's also revealed that the bounty hunter is also there, but his name

01:52is Death, and he is the real deal.

01:55All participants of the quest have reached the final destination, the star that grants

01:59the wish, and all that is left to do is to read the nursery-rhymed scene on the map,

02:03and the wish will be granted.

02:05The only one that didn't wish for anything and was happy with the life he was given was

02:09Perrito, the dog.

02:11At the same time, Goldilocks wanted a new human family, Jack wanted to control all the

02:15magic in the world, and Kitty wanted someone she could finally trust.

02:31Perrito had a difficult life, he was thrown away in a river in a sock filled with rocks,

02:35but he kept a positive attitude throughout his one life.

02:39Goldilocks starts to appreciate her family, Kitty starts to see that she doesn't need

02:43the wish to trust someone and that the problem was in her all along, and Puss realizes that

02:47there is no legend left to chase, no lives left to waste and that this one last life

02:51should be spent appreciating it, chasing adventures once more but with others, by his side, guided

02:56by fear, but embracing it.

02:59Puss was arrogant in his past lives, but those lives are now legends, only meant to be retold,

03:03not meant to be relived.

03:05He repeated the same mistakes eight times and was still the arrogant, self-absorbed

03:09cat he was before.

03:11He never grew, he never looked back, and he was only ever there for the love of himself.

03:16He never feared death, he laughed at its face and realized he had led eight lonely lives.

03:21Alas, he lets go and gets a newfound respect for the present life he has, he fights death,

03:26and death quickly realizes that he isn't the same arrogant cat anymore, he is finally

03:30the cat death always wanted him to be.

03:33They'll meet again, but this time when the time is right.

03:37The wish is torn apart because everyone counted their blessings and felt that everything was

03:40always just right.

03:42There are no end credit scenes, but Puss, Kitty, and Purrito are now a gang, embarking

03:47on adventures together.

03:49After stealing a boat, they embark on their latest adventure, which might foreshadow Shrek's

03:53return since Puss and the gang is heading far away.

03:57Where Shrek, Fiona, the kids, Donkey, and the dragon live.
