00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel, in this video, I will explain the ending of That 90s Show,
00:05so let's begin.
00:07That 90s Show follows Lea Foreman, the daughter of Eric and Donna, as she spends her summer
00:11at Point Place, Wisconsin with her grandparents, Red and Kitty.
00:16What is the show about?
00:18When Lea came to spend the 4th of July at her grandparents' place, Red and Kitty's,
00:22she didn't know that she would make such good friends and create a lifetime of memories.
00:27Lea was the kind of girl who was always trying to fit in, and she felt pressured to do so
00:31because all her life, she was never accepted for who she was.
00:35Her parents, Eric and Donna, had also come with her, and it was a sweet little family
00:40reunion.
00:41Eric wanted to take his daughter to Huntsville, Alabama, for a space camp, but the grandparents
00:46realized that she was not interested in going there.
00:49We all know about Eric's obsession with Star Wars, and he expected Lea to be as geeked
00:53out as he was.
00:55She was at an age where she wanted some space, and she was dealing with her own teenage issues.
01:01Eric didn't understand that, and he had a hard time accepting the fact that his daughter
01:04was growing up and her priorities in life were not the same as they were before.
01:08Lea met Gwen, who lived in the neighborhood, and through her, she met the entire gang,
01:13i.e.
01:14Nikki, Ozzy, Nate, and Jay.
01:16Lea had decided that she would stay with her grandparents for the summer vacation, and
01:20though Eric didn't want to leave her behind, he realized that it was about time he started
01:24to respect her decisions and, sometimes, just let her be.
01:28It was really hard for Eric to show that kind of maturity as he was really possessive of
01:33Lea, but Donna made him understand that Lea was at a very rebellious age, and she had
01:37the right to make her own mistakes just like they did.
01:40Gwen's stepbrother was dating Nikki, and both of them were inseparable most of the
01:44time.
01:45Lea and Jay hit it off quite well, and for the first time, Jay wanted something more
01:49than just a meaningless hookup.
01:52Nikki and Nate were shocked to hear that, as it was contrary to the reputation Jay had.
01:56Lea, on the other hand, was also head over heels for Jay, but Gwen was constantly telling
02:01her to let the boy come to her and pretend to be all cool so that he didn't realize that
02:05she was desperate to find a boyfriend.
02:08Coincidentally, Nate and Nikki gave similar advice to Jay, and so, there was a deadlock
02:13where both of them, Ida, EJ, and Lea, wanted to woo each other, but neither of them was
02:16making the first move and making the other aware of their feelings.
02:20By not expressing their love for each other, Lea and Jay made things complicated for themselves.
02:26Towards the end of the fourth episode of That 90s Show, Lea tells Jay that she would like
02:30to be just friends with him, as she thinks that it would make him somewhat jealous and
02:33inquisitive and result in him accepting and expressing his feelings.
02:38But Jay started dating another girl named Serena, and Lea's plan backfired terribly.
02:43Lea ended up inviting both of them to her 15th birthday party, though her friends told
02:47her that it would unnecessarily make the situation complicated.
02:51Lea waited for Jay throughout the evening, but she was disappointed when he didn't show up.
02:56Later that night, Jay came to her room through her window, and they shared an intimate moment.
03:01Jay and Lea started dating each other, and her grandparents, Red and Kitty, were horrified
03:06when they came to know that out of all the options available, she had decided to date
03:09a Scalso.
03:11Did Lea and Jay stay together?
03:14What did Gwen see Lea doing?
03:16Sherry Runk was having an affair with Fez, but after getting counseled by Kitty, she
03:20decided that she would break up with him and fend for her own interests.
03:24Fez, who had a flourishing salon business, was not ready to break up at any cost.
03:29He even convinced Kitty by telling her how much he loved Sherry and how he wanted to
03:33be there for her through thick and thin.
03:35Ultimately, Red had to come to the rescue, as Sherry ran out of ways to convince Fez
03:40to break up with her.
03:42When Fez realized that Sherry had two children, he also felt like he had dodged a bullet and
03:46decided that it was better for him to part ways.
03:49But as fate would have it, they came back together once again.
03:53Fenton, who was Sherry's landlord, had asked her to vacate the place as she was unable
03:57to pay her rent.
03:59When Fenton realized that Sherry was dating Fez, he got even more aggravated and ended
04:03up increasing the rent.
04:05Fez was adamant about resolving the issue and reaching common ground with Fenton.
04:10He gave Fenton a fancy wig and the grumpy landlord decided to let Sherry stay in his
04:14house.
04:16Sherry had a lot of unresolved issues with her late father and somewhere Red's attitude
04:20reminded her of him.
04:22Red was the kind of man who didn't like being disturbed and was perpetually annoyed
04:25and irritated.
04:27Red confronted her as he didn't like the fact that she always got reminded of not-so-happy
04:31instances from her past when she saw him.
04:34Red might have seemed very uncompromising and rude up front, but deep down, he was a
04:38good man who cared for his friends and family.
04:42He often didn't know how to express his emotions, and that is why people misunderstood him a
04:46lot.
04:47It was quite funny and adorable at the same time how he started competing with Leia's
04:51maternal grandfather Bob and ended up gifting her a car that was owned by Eric.
04:56On one end, things got better between Sherry and Fez, but Leia didn't know what she would
05:00do after she moved back to Chicago.
05:03Jay, too, was skeptical about being in a long-distance relationship with Leia, though he hadn't told
05:08her that he had already made up his mind to break up with her.
05:11Jay still loved Leia, but he thought that at their age, it was not feasible for him
05:15to be in such a relationship when everything was so uncertain.
05:19The manner in which Leia came to know about Jay's intentions made her feel betrayed.
05:24Jay had no intention of hurting her, but unfortunately, it came out in a way that he couldn't do much
05:28about it.
05:30Things went downhill between Leia and Gwen, too, when the latter realized that Leia had
05:34ditched her to go on a date with Jay.
05:36Leia was in a difficult spot as she had to choose between her best friend and her boyfriend.
05:41She wanted to spend time with both of them, but she just couldn't make it to the country
05:45club in time, where she had to meet Gwen and Ozzy.
05:48Though Leia was able to reconcile with Gwen later, she still didn't know what to do with
05:52Jay.
05:53An untoward situation arrived when Leia and Nate felt something for each other, and they
05:57were almost about to get intimate when Gwen arrived at the scene and was shocked beyond
06:01measure.
06:03Nate had, of late, started feeling quite insecure about his girlfriend, Nikki.
06:08He felt that he was easily replaceable in Nikki's life and that she might lose interest
06:11in him if she ever met someone else.
06:14Nikki assured him that though she was not a soothsayer and she couldn't predict what
06:17would happen in the future, she could definitely tell him that she loved him and that she had
06:21no plans of leaving him.
06:23Nate knew that in the coming years, Nikki would move out to pursue her studies, and
06:27he would also have to face a situation similar to Leia's.
06:31It got him thinking, and there was something very comforting about Leia that made him feel
06:35like he could spill his heart out in front of her.
06:38Nate was the kind of guy with whom even Leia felt very comfortable.
06:42She could talk to him about anything without fear of being judged.
06:46It was a very organic relationship, and though neither Leia nor Nate had ever thought about
06:50each other in that manner, that particular moment changed something inside them.
06:54Leia felt guilty, as she had become so vulnerable that she was almost about to kiss Nate.
07:00Nate was the only person who knew about it, and she abstained from telling the others
07:04in the group as she knew that it could create a lot of complications.
07:08Jay decided to give the long-distance relationship a shot, though Leia was now in two minds as
07:12she didn't know what she wanted any longer.
07:15She loved Jay, but the spark and comfort she discovered she felt with Nate left her thinking.
07:20After the summer vacation, Leia felt more confident than ever and embraced the fact
07:24that she was who she was, and there was no reason to feel so insecure about herself all
07:28the time.
07:30She knew that with the right people by her side, she could overcome any obstacles in
07:33her life.
07:35Leia went back to Chicago with a promise to keep in touch with all her friends, and we
07:39might see her returning to Reds and Kitties next summer.
