00:00All right, Joe, tonight we have four games, of course, A's and Reds starts in about an
00:10hour.
00:11We talked about that one already, where you're going to get Ginn and Aguilar tonight with
00:15a very heavy total.
00:16But let's start with the Braves and the Phillies in Philadelphia.
00:19Remember, they met last week in Atlanta for three.
00:23Braves took two out of three from the Phillies, now a big four gamer, and the Braves are running
00:27out of opportunities.
00:29They have gotten it to five, Joe, coming into this weekend, which is the closest they've
00:35been in a very long time to Philadelphia.
00:38So they have a very big opportunity here to start things off.
00:42Charlie the Fisherman Morton will go against Christopher Sanchez tonight, minus $1.65 for
00:48the Phillies, plus $1.40 for the Braves, and an eight and a half here in the game.
00:56I mean, it's hard to believe, actually, given all the injuries and everything with Atlanta,
01:02that they're even in this spot to be heading into a weekend series in Philadelphia, where
01:07they could leave this series right on the heels and an opportunity to overtake Philadelphia
01:14for the National League East.
01:15It's kind of hard to believe, but they got to do it with Charlie Morton on the road.
01:20Not exactly inspiring a lot of confidence there.
01:24And I love the fact that Philadelphia is coming off a total you-know-what whooping
01:29yesterday by the Astros, 10-0, didn't get any hits.
01:35Not great.
01:36There are a lot of guys in this Philadelphia lineup that have great numbers against Charlie
01:41Morton and Christopher Sanchez for the Phillies, Carver.
01:45You and I both know you want to talk about serious home road splits.
01:50He is a guy you want to back at Citizens Bank.
01:52You want to avoid on the road.
01:55But at home, 7-3 this season here.
01:58I like Philadelphia.
01:59I don't necessarily love the bullpen, so I do like Philadelphia in the first five in
02:05this one.
02:06Yeah, you talk about it, Joe, 2-1-8 at home, and he's got a 5-4-3 on the road.
02:14That is a sizable difference.
02:15And yes, lots of guys with some great numbers, which I'll give you when we get to the Taters
02:20right after, because of course, Joe, I have one of those guys on the Phillies going after
02:25Charlie Morton tonight, as we should in such a spot like this.
02:30The Blue Jays and the Red Sox get together again in Boston tonight at Fenway.
02:36Cutter Crawford against the immortal Bowden Francis tonight, minus 150 for the Red Sox,
02:43plus a buck 25 for the Jays, and an 8-1-2, which I'm not going to lie to you, Joe, like
02:48the 8-1-2, it seems a little light with these two guys on the mound.
02:53I'm not going to lie.
02:54I know Crawford was good his last time out, but the five before that, he got shelled.
02:59I feel like this is a nice overnight.
03:01They played a dead-under last night.
03:03Maybe we can get some runs out of Bowden Francis and Cutter Crawford.
03:07Well, I'll tell you what I think we're going to get out of Bowden Francis, and which I
03:12hope is because I just laddered it up on his K-prop.
03:17I mean, look at what this kid has done here, folks.
03:20Twenty-eight years old, right?
03:22His third start last time out of career high, 12 strikeouts, third straight win, almost
03:29a no-hitter, and I have no idea why in the world he won't be able to get six, seven,
03:37eight, nine strikeouts here against this Red Sox team that is going in the wrong direction.
03:43I'm with you.
03:45The number feels a little light at eight and a half, but if this kid is going to be missing
03:50a lot of bats and barrels, Boston might not do their part here.
03:55I still like Toronto in this one.
03:57I think they're the better team.
03:59They've been the better team since the All-Star break.
04:01The bullpen of Boston has fallen apart, but I like his Bowden strikeout prop.
04:08Just ladder it up in the alternate market as high as you can go because I think he might
04:12have double-digit strikeouts in himself tonight.
04:15Yep.
04:1612, seven, eight, and seven his last four times out, and to be fair, and I always like
04:22going after him, Joe, because he had given up a lot of homers if he lost his last two
04:26or three starts.
04:28Not as many his last two or three starts, so it's possible that he's found a little
04:32bit out there for the Jays.
04:34All right.
04:35Next one we got for you.
04:37We will go Houston, where me and you were discussing this one before.
04:40The Royals and the Astros getting together.
04:43Brady Singer and Hunter Brown, minus $1.60 for Houston, plus $1.35 for the Royals and
04:51a $7.50 as they start a big four-game series.
04:55Yeah.
04:56Love the pitching matchup, and it's ironic, too, because Hunter Brown and Brady Singer
05:02are really the two guys that have carried their respective teams to this point.
05:08The reason that they are as good as they have been is because of these two guys.
05:13Brady Singer, it did—I mean, look at his numbers a year ago compared to this year.
05:17He has really been a lifesaver for a rotation there that Lugo's kind of on the decline.
05:24You know what you're going to get from Waka, but Singer has been steady, Eddie here.
05:29I went with a first five under in this one simply because I think this is going to be
05:34a great pitchers' battle.
05:35It was four-and-a-half earlier today.
05:39It's probably down to four, but I don't see a whole lot of runs early.
05:43I do worry about that Royals' bullpen, but to me, I think this is an old-fashioned pitchers'
05:49battle in a ballpark that doesn't see an awful lot of overs.
05:54And outside of that 10 runs the last game for Houston, not exactly a whole lot of confidence.
05:58They hadn't been playing exactly great baseball, so under in the first five for me in this
06:03one.
06:04There you go.
06:05A little under action for Joe tonight there.
06:08And finally, the late-night game, only one tonight on the left coast, is the Orioles
06:13and the Dodgers out in LA.
06:16Cade Povich and Bobby Miller going tonight.
06:20Neither have been sharp.
06:22I guess like, you know, this is eight-and-a-half.
06:25This is too light also, Joe, to be quite honest with you.
06:28Eight-and-a-half for these two, minus $1.55 for the Dodgers, plus $1.30 for the O's.
06:34I think if there's a game the O's are going to get out there, Joe, it's tonight in LA.
06:38I am looking very forward to hearing what your dingers are here tonight, because I have
06:46a feeling there might be one or two in this game.
06:50I think whoever you like to win, bet their team total over.
06:54I think that's how you correlate this game here.
06:57One of these two teams is going to score eight runs, so you figure out which one it is.
