00:00Big Bell. On the island of Sodor, all the engines are happy to greet a new friend.
00:11They toot and they hoot a whistle of welcome. Bell was a new friend on Sodor.
00:22Bell was a big blue engine with a big brass bell. Bell fought fires with a wheesh of water.
00:32Everyone liked Bell. She was big and bustling and bright as her buffers.
00:39Thomas puffed in to Knapford Station. Bell was watching Toby trundle away.
00:47Happy chuffing! Good morning, Bell. Good morning, Thomas. Who's that, Thomas?
00:54That's Toby. He's a special friend. Toby is the oldest steam tram on Sodor. Toby is wise and wonderful.
01:04Bell's boiler bubbled. Toby has a bell. I'm sure we'd be good friends. Where does he live?
01:13Toby lives in Arsdale End. Bell pumped her pistons and she rang her bell loudly.
01:22I'll wheesh there right away!
01:28Bell huffed to a halt. Her steam swirled. Hello, Toby. I'm Bell.
01:38Toby was surprised. Bell was big. Toby felt small. Hello, Bell. We both have bells. We can have fun together.
01:51Toby's wheels wobbled. Maybe I'm having fun listening to the birds.
01:59Bell didn't think listening to the birds was fun at all.
02:03Come on, Toby. I know how we can have much more fun. Follow me.
02:09Bell wheeshed away, so Toby rattled and rolled behind. First, Bell took Toby to Gordon's hill.
02:20Let's race to the top and then whoosh down!
02:25But Toby didn't want to whoosh, so he wheeshed back into a siding.
02:32Ready to roll, Toby?
02:35Bell whooshed down the other side.
02:39Whizzling fireboxes, Toby! That was fun!
02:44But Toby didn't answer, because Toby wasn't there.
02:50Bell puffed puzzled. Toby? Toby? Where are you?
02:57And Bell steamed swiftly away to find Toby.
03:02Bell found Toby. He was hiding in a siding.
03:08I thought I'd lost you, Toby.
03:10Toby wheeshed.
03:12I'm an old steam tram. I'm not good at racing up hills.
03:19Bell beamed. She wanted Toby to be her friend.
03:24Don't worry. I know just what we'll do to have fun. Pump your pistons, Toby!
03:31Bell pumped her pistons. Toby's pistons peeped.
03:37Bell raced and rattled along the tracks. Toby puffed and panted along at the back.
03:45To Farmer Trotter's pigs, Toby smiled.
03:50I like Farmer Trotter's pigs. They make me happy.
03:55That made Bell happy.
03:58I knew we'd have fun as friends.
04:01Then an idea burst in Bell's bell.
04:05Pigs like mud. Watch this, Toby!
04:10Water gurgled and burbled in Big Bell's pipes.
04:15Then with a whoosh and a wheesh, water shot from her spouts.
04:21Trembling tracks! What's happening?
04:24Toby had never seen an engine wheesh water before.
04:29The pigs are happy in the mud we made.
04:32But Toby wasn't happy. He rolled back quietly into a siding.
04:38Shall I soak them again, Toby? It would be fun.
04:42But Toby didn't answer. Because Toby wasn't there.
04:47Bell puffed puzzled.
04:50Toby? Toby? Where are you?
04:55And Bell huffed hurriedly away to find Toby.
05:00Bell found Toby. He was hiding in a siding behind some trucks.
05:07I thought I'd lost you, Toby.
05:10Toby jiggled and juddered.
05:13I'm an old steam tram. I'm not used to wheeshing water.
05:20Bell's boiler bubbled. She really wanted Toby to be her friend.
05:26Don't worry. I have another idea.
05:30Let's chuff to Maithwaite Station.
05:35So Toby clickety clacked along the track behind Bell to Maithwaite Station.
05:42There were lots of people there.
05:45Bell steamed to a stop.
05:48She rang her big brass bell.
05:52It was the loudest bell the passengers had ever heard.
05:57Listen to us. We're the Bells of Sodor.
06:03Toby didn't ring his bell.
06:06Toby trembled on the tracks.
06:09Your turn, Toby.
06:11But Toby didn't answer. Because Toby wasn't there.
06:17Toby? Toby? Where are you?
06:23Bell wheeshed with worry.
06:26She raced away like a rocket.
06:29But Bell wanted to find her friend Toby.
06:34Bell found Toby. He was hiding at his home.
06:39Bell felt sad and silly.
06:43I wanted you to be my friend.
06:46I wanted to have fun with you, so that you would want to be my friend too.
06:52But you didn't have fun at all.
06:56Now I'm sure you won't want to be my friend.
07:00Toby and Bell were quiet and calm.
07:04Then Bell heard the birds.
07:07They twittered and tweeted a tune.
07:10The birds are beautiful.
07:12Toby smiled.
07:14I know.
07:16I like listening to them.
07:18So do I.
07:20Toby chuffed and puffed.
07:23Would you like to visit the pigs again?
07:26There, my friends.
07:28I left without huffing hello.
07:32Of course I would, Toby.
07:37Bell and Toby wheeshed and watched the pigs.
07:41The pigs snorted and snuffled.
07:44Hello, my friends. This is Bell.
07:49Bell smiled at Toby.
07:52She didn't scare him now.
07:54Would you like to go to Maithwaite?
07:56I think your friends would like to see you.
07:59So Toby and Bell chuffed to Maithwaite Station.
08:05Hello, Toby.
08:07Toby jingled and jangled his bell.
08:11Hello. This is Bell.
08:15Bell beamed.
08:18Then Bell rang her big brass bell as quietly and calmly as she could.
08:24Toby's boiler bubbled.
08:28Bell is my friend.
08:31We are the Bells of Sodor.
08:34Aren't we, Bell?
08:36Bell beamed.
08:38She couldn't have been happier.
