00:00The YMCA's focus today remains the same as when our doors opened in 1852, to connect
00:09people of all ages and backgrounds, to bridge the gaps in unmet community needs, to strengthen
00:14our community, and to build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
00:18We are ever mindful of how the City of Buffalo's quality of life continues to be unduly affected
00:24by significant challenges.
00:26Food insecurity, a lack of child care and outdoor play spaces, plus high poverty are
00:31just some of the many unjust barriers hurting our neighbors from living their best lives.
00:37In response, the Y is leading an effort to spearhead the revitalization of Buffalo.
00:42Through two community needs-based capital projects, we will create solutions to address
00:47the City's unmet needs and foster individual, family, and community health.
00:53Located in North Buffalo, Camp Swan will be the premier destination for children to
00:57meet other kids, cultivate positive relationships and friendships, and most important, have fun.
01:03And on Buffalo's east side, a reimagined William Emsley YMCA will feature improved
01:08senior, healthy living, and child care spaces, enhanced outdoor amenities, and community
01:13partner resources, all in one accessible location.
01:19We're confident that within these new and reimagined spaces, the YMCA will have the
01:23capacity to do, and be, so much more for City of Buffalo residents.
01:30A transformational future awaits our City and our YMCA.
01:35All that's missing is you.
01:37Be part of the wise solution to revitalize the City of Buffalo and transform lives.
