00:00Uh, one of us says, have you guys seen two on Dan show?
00:02Talk about flow.
00:03We, we were, uh, we were just talking about that going into break, not watch
00:06the whole interview, but I've seen the clip that's gone viral.
00:09I will tell you the only problem that I've ever had with flow is this.
00:16It is the coach's job to get the very most out of the talent that you have and
00:24what he did to, to a seem counterproductive for his own success.
00:29And, and maybe he didn't want them to draft to him.
00:32Maybe he wanted him to draft her Herbert.
00:35That's all beside the point that once two is here, it is your job to get the
00:41most out of the talent that you have.
00:43That is the definition of a coach in any sport.
00:48And what separates guys as a coach is their ability to do that.
00:53I, uh, I, I gotta tell you, man, I have a really hard time believing.
00:57I don't care what reports are out there or whatever has been thrown from the
01:00flows that I have such a hard time believing that the guy didn't want the
01:03quarterback that they picked.
01:05I just do.
01:06First of all, it doesn't, it doesn't, it doesn't jive with the way Chris
01:09Greer is as a GM, who's a very pleasing.
01:12Get the coach, whatever the hell he wants.
01:14Well, if you told me, if you told me the team wanting to, uh, predated them
01:19hiring florists, not really.
01:21Yeah.
01:21I did.
01:22Not really.
01:23And we went through a whole year before he went through a whole tank year.
01:26I have a hard time believing if the coach really thought that there was that
01:29much of a difference that they wouldn't have gotten that direction.
01:31I think that is, I think that is a convenient thing to throw because you
01:35got a guy who was on a busted hip compared to a guy who broke the rookie
01:38passing record.
01:40I just don't buy it.
01:41I don't buy it.
01:41I'll never buy it.
01:42Then why all the negativity with tour?
01:45Because he sucked.
01:46He wasn't very, he was hurt.
01:47I understand.
01:48He wasn't even supposed to play the first year.
01:50Why did the guy fire a coach every, every time he changed his socks?
01:53Like the guy didn't seem like he had a lot of patience for the job.
01:57He didn't, you know, like that's, that's, that's, that's, that's one of those things.
02:02Like, it's one of these, it's, you look at this and it's like, oh, who, uh, you
02:07know, why do certain guys, yes, they can be good coaches, but don't have a
02:11temperament for leadership, you know, that, that can be, that can be one of
02:15the things, honestly, it's one of the things with Mike McDaniel, that's like,
02:19I think the guy's really good with people really good with people and a good coach.
02:23I think he's a good coach, but like, there's still improvements that he has
02:26to make as a game day coach.
02:27He's so good with people that they'll help him when he makes those mistakes.
02:33See?
02:33And that's what, that's what I mean, that there's a lot of guys or players
02:39would tell you who loved their coach, but maybe the coach wasn't a good coach.
02:44Like I give you a perfect example.
02:47I think everybody thought about Larry Coker players.
02:50Like they liked that.
02:54He'd let them do their thing, you know?
02:58But it's one of those things where it's like, yeah, Brian Flores and, and
03:02whatever the reason being like, look, and I still say this, like I didn't
03:06deserve to get fired, like he didn't, the guy, the guy got them to a
03:11successful record with what they had.
03:13Um, we were all stunned the day that he got fired.
03:16We all thought that they were going to hire Harbaugh that day.
03:18It turned out that they were trying to hire Sean Payton and Tom Brady.
03:21You know?
03:21So it's, it, it, it doesn't, it doesn't negate the fact that he still
03:25did good elements of the job, but harboring a quarterback was not his back.
03:30He was not good at it.
03:31He had a big flaw and a detriment there.
03:34That's the, and that's just that, that's just the, you know, not
03:37everybody nails everything.
03:38Every, even, you know, I think even with the people would say
03:40Spoeh has blind spots on certain things.
03:42Not every coaches is perfect with everything.
03:45But, um, but yeah, like it's, you know, I don't know if it's anything
03:49revolutionary that we, again, hear that to a hates Brian, I think
03:53we all know at this point, you know, and I think, and you know what?
03:56He's never come out and said he hates him, but I've said this, I would say this to you.
04:04Fans, you think you have a better chance of your team turning around
04:09with you booing them and cussing them or egging them on, right?
04:13It's just a simple thing.
04:15And it comes from a place that said, I also said after a game,
04:21I would have booed my ass too.
04:22So I get it.
04:24I've highlights.
04:24We were seeing during the break.
04:25That was a good game, but you know, it's just as a leader, you're supposed to be
04:35able to weed through all that and know what motivates your players.
04:40In fact, there's a lot of older coaches that fell for it's my way, this one way.
04:48I'm not treating you separately or whatever.
04:50Whereas Jimmy Johnson said, hell yeah, I'm gonna treat you different, right?
04:56Troy Aikman gets treated different than a kicker, right?
05:01The guys that helped me win.
05:03So he kind of understood that at an early, early age.
05:07So, yeah, I don't know.
05:09Oh, and Mike McDaniel is still talking right now.
05:10I'm just thinking to myself, what is this a 40 minute press conference I got to do later?
05:14Leroy wants us to fake it until we make, no, that's not.
05:17See, see, here's a perfect example of me making a comment and somebody taking it.
05:25Right.
05:26Leroy wants us to fake it until we make it.
05:29Shaking my head.
05:30How's that worked out for us to fake it?
05:33Shaking my head.
05:34How's that worked out for us the past 24 years?
05:37That's not what I'm saying.
05:39You can be whoever, whoever you want to be, but I'm saying, what are the chances?
05:47If you're during the course of a game, mad and hissing and booing at your team,
05:55instead of egging them on what has a better chance of working?
05:59Just saying.
06:01So I don't, I, you know, I don't, I don't understand.
06:03I get it.
06:04Like I'm never like, if I'm playing bad and you boo me, whatever I earned it.
06:10But at the same time, like you look at how Mike McDaniel does things, or I give
06:18you a perfect example, look at hockey and how I told you all year, I love the way
06:25they keep an even keel, no matter what.
06:28No matter what that means, when things are going really bad, they can still
06:32focus on what they have to fix.
06:34You know, Paul Maurice holds onto a, the profanity card, right?
06:39But, but that's the thing about Paul.
06:41I've told you that the whole.
