00:00Are we still, like, as far as the season has gone to this point, a lot of, like, just shock, right?
00:12Yeah.
00:13Winning, who's not. Does that give you reason to, like, just relax?
00:19Are you talking about the-
00:20Just in general.
00:21Yeah, okay.
00:21Like, teams that are winning, teams that are losing, teams that look good, teams that look bad.
00:27Does, based on what you've seen this year, does it give you a little more patience with the
00:34Dolphins simply because there's a lot of teams that just don't look good right now that you know
00:40have talent?
00:42No. No, that doesn't help me at all.
00:44No, no. What a ridiculous statement by you. No. They got smoked by the Bills.
00:49What do you mean it's not ridiculous?
00:50The Bills look incredible.
00:52But, like, did you think Pittsburgh was going to be 3-0?
00:58I didn't. I didn't think they were going to be 3-0, but-
01:01Right.
01:01But-
01:02Do you think they were going to be- Wait, wait. After three games of the season,
01:06did you think the Pittsburgh Seals would be leading that division?
01:10I think I'm more surprised by the struggles of the other teams. If you were telling me what's
01:15more surprising-
01:15But that's what I'm saying. If I give you right now, right now, if I gave you a choice,
01:22between Pittsburgh and Baltimore, who are you taking?
01:26I think I'm taking Pittsburgh.
01:28So, you think Pittsburgh will win the division and Baltimore won't bounce back?
01:32They might bounce back, but I think Pittsburgh is, like, you already got Mike Tomlinoff to a fast
01:36start.
01:38Right. No, I got, I, listen, and these are, like, I was just chewing on this. Like, I don't,
01:43like, I don't know. I know a lot of people would still take Baltimore.
01:47But if you really looked at it, like, that's the only surprising division because, like,
01:50AFC South, Houston's leading-
01:52You can't even count the NFC South. I don't, because that, throw that up for grabs.
01:57Yeah, but let's just talk about this conference. Like, Houston's two and one. Everybody thought
02:01they were going to lead that division. Jaguars, I think the Jaguars being winless is probably
02:06surprising. But, you know, that's, I think they misguided. I think they're kind of in the same
02:15place right now that the Dolphins are at.
02:17You could go with, Kansas City is basically where, yeah, we're-
02:22Kansas City's leading.
02:23How about San Francisco?
02:26San Francisco struggling is a big one, and especially with the diagnosis of McCaffrey
02:33being pretty ominous, you know? Everybody's talking Achilles, Madden curse, you strike
02:38again. You know, that's not great.
02:41So, like, just look, I mean, you know, you had some teams with big, Minnesota. Did you
02:47see this out of Minnesota? Everybody was talking Green Bay.
02:52Yeah, Minnesota's probably the biggest surprise of everybody.
02:56And then Seattle's three and oh.
02:59Seattle, like, in a division where the 49ers are so banged up, I don't even know if they
03:08can bounce back.
03:09I think if you look at Seattle, like Seattle's like almost like the Dolphins last year, like
03:13people are going to sniff around fraud on them, because if you look at their wins, Broncos
03:18beat a Bonix in his debut dog fight with the Patriots begging to give the Dolphins that
03:24game with Skylar Thompson starting and the Dolphins just couldn't do it.
03:27So they're a little, they smell a little fraudulent, but a three and oh, three, you know,
03:32good for them.
03:32Right.
03:33But, but if I look at it, so yeah, I guess the NFC, the same, there's definitely more
03:37surprises in the NFC.
03:39The AFC does not really that the, the, the, the, the thing's not really, but it builds
03:45better than you thought.
03:46The bills are better than I thought they would be.
03:48Yeah, of course.
03:49Okay.
03:50Yeah.
03:50And Josh Allen's been amazing.
03:52Yeah.
03:52He's been amazing.
03:53He hasn't missed Stefan Diggs one bit, and they've done this with a banged up defense.
03:59I think if you're the most pessimistic Dolphin fan, a lot of your worries have come to light.
04:06That's, I think the thing, the thing with the Dolphins that's upsetting.
04:09And I think a lot of people, and I'm sure Steven Ross has probably thought about this
04:13at night.
04:14It's nice that they gave out all the contracts.
04:16It's nice that everybody's happy.
04:18But if you talked about, Hey, what, how could this go badly?
04:24Everything has come to light.
04:25Like everything, your quarterback.
04:27Yeah.
04:28Offensive line to, uh, uh, your old running back hasn't played, you know, like all the
04:35construct of the Dolphins, Mike McDaniel's play callings.
04:37Like it's weird.
04:38It's a ugly head in every single way.
04:41They're the only team that hasn't had a lead.
04:43That's pretty crazy.
04:44They've been down double digits in every game.
04:46Right.
04:46You know, it's, it's so with the Dolphins having like this boom or bust area, like we
04:55know at their best what they've looked like, but they haven't looked like that in a while,
04:59even going back into last year with a lot of the same offensive roster.
05:02But now it's, and now it's time.
05:05Yeah.
05:06There's time, but we're just talking about the first three games.
05:08I got you.
05:09I got you.
05:10When that, that's, that's, I mean, one of the reasons why I bought a Pittsburgh and
05:13Baltimore is that, you know, why don't we feel that way about the Dolphins?
05:21Well, I'll tell you exactly why.
05:23And this is, this is the truth of it.
05:24Leroy, the two injury is bad.
05:28Obviously it was very scary and I wish two and nothing but the best, but the bigger
05:31indictment on the Dolphins was getting smoked by Buffalo the way they did.
05:36So for the outlook of their season, the Dolphins getting the snot kicked out of them on Thursday
05:40night football, the way they did with everything we put into that game.
05:44And it was such a one-sided pressure because Buffalo's like silly Dolphins.
05:50You know, they toy with it all.
05:51It literally looked like they were playing a preseason game.
05:55Yeah.
05:56Yeah.
05:56Which, which, which lens, you know, so the lens to my, my point, but it's, you know,
06:03the show.
06:04Yeah.
06:04So it's like, yeah, we could sit here and say, Hey, when Tua gets back, but when Tua
06:08gets back, they got to play, they got to go to Buffalo.
06:10What's the spread going to be on that game.
06:11And, and, and I think the biggest concern that I have is you can't like, we knew it
06:25was going to be a little inconsistent with the injuries on defense.
06:30Like who's running in, who's coming, how many plays is Jalen Phillips playing?
06:36You know, we, we knew that was going to take some time for people to come back.
06:41Okay.
06:41They, they haven't been bad, but the offensive line, you, you, you gotta have, if there's
06:49any place on a football team that you have to have consistency and I'm throwing out the
06:56quarterback on this.
06:59Most of the teams that have success have consistency on offensive line.
07:04Do you think they will start Patrick ball this week?
07:08Or do you think they're going to go with lamb?
07:09I'm assuming Toronto said, isn't out of the protocol.
07:12Uh, do you think that they'll go with lamb?
07:14Who's, uh, the, the veteran he's been there.
07:16He's solid.
07:20Or should you just go with your second round pick and get them going?
07:23Just because you're a veteran doesn't mean you're good.
07:31It just means that you're better than all the other backups.
07:35So I would say this, I think you have to get five healthy bodies.
07:42Try to get them comfortable in a position, whatever they can feel comfort at that position
07:50and have them work together.
07:52That that's it.
07:54And, and so you don't have to be the best offensive line as far as this guy does this,
08:01this guy's excellent, this guy, but you need to have some consistency in that you do things
08:07well together.
08:09And I think that's the most important part, uh, with an offensive line.
08:13So if you can get five guys together and you can get them a two or three week run
08:23with practices, with games, I think there'll be some improvement there.
08:28They're going to be the situations where a guy gets beat one-on-one.
08:31Okay.
08:32Those are going to happen regardless.
08:34But as far as consistency with that front, because a lot of times you watch with all
08:42the, the, the different guys, they were moving in and out.
08:45There was too much space.
08:47There was too many guys one-on-one.
08:50And that was the problem.
08:52Usually when you have a coherent offensive line, you see how they work together, their
08:55shoulder to shoulder, you see an arm, they help each other out.
08:59They, they work well together.
09:01When you have new guys out there, they're all thinking about, let me get my guy.
09:05And you actually put yourself on and off.
