00:00On 15 August, we managed to break through a syndicate of illegal agents.
00:13We had 7 locations of arrest.
00:17We operated in Ceras, Mid Valley City, Pandan Village, Tamamida, Sungai Besi in Kuala Lumpur,
00:26and also Sepang and Bandar Estate in Negeri Sembilan.
00:29We carried out this operation based on a 2-week risk.
00:33We arrested 4 Malaysian citizens, 2 of whom were the main agents.
00:41We also arrested 2 Chinese women who were also involved in this syndicate.
00:50We also arrested a Chinese man and a Filipino woman who were also involved in this syndicate.
01:04In total, we arrested 8 people.
01:09In the beginning, we found that these 4 foreigners did not have proper travel documents.
01:18In other words, they did not have a passport to stay in Malaysia.
01:22As a result of this operation, we confiscated a lot of documents in front of the women,
01:28including 107 passports, which included 100 passports from China, 2 passports from Taiwan, 3 passports from Thailand, and 1 passport from the Dominican Republic.
01:41We also confiscated 5 vehicles, 2 of which were BMWs, 1 Volkswagen, 1 Prodora Maywee, and 1 Suzuki Swift.
01:51The purpose of this operation was to provide them with a social security pass to stay longer in Malaysia.
02:00Most of them were involved in overstay, so they wanted a pass to stay in Malaysia permanently.
02:11They used WeChat and social media to contact and offer their services.
02:21The payment rate for each customer was between RM1,200 for a special pass,
02:29and up to RM15,000 for a request for a long-term social security pass.
02:37Each service was delivered by courier.
02:42There was no one-to-one service.
02:45It was delivered by courier.
02:47We found out that this syndicate operated on a monthly basis.
02:59We found out that they were offered quickly and easily.
03:03We have a process in this department.
03:06Some of them didn't want to come.
03:08So they looked for agents.
03:10Immigration didn't train agents to get a pass.
03:13They could make a request and come to the office.
03:15Various offers were made.
03:17But they also used WeChat.
03:19When they overstayed, they could come to our office and get a pass.
03:23So they took the easy route.
03:26They looked for agents to do this job.
03:29For example, for a long-term connection, they could ask for a pass through a rope.
03:33They didn't have to train agents.
03:35They didn't have to deal directly with us.
03:38Even though they had to come to get a pass.
03:40But there were a lot of requests in the Immigration Department
03:44that were made through a rope.
