00:00A document forgery syndicate was busted after raids by the Immigration Department
00:05saw the arrest of nine foreigners, including the two suspected masterminds.
00:10An operation was conducted on November 14 in Starbuck,
00:14leading to three raids in the area following public complaints.
00:18Two suspected masterminds of the group were caught, including seven other suspects.
00:23The masterminds, both Pakistani men, were aged 27 and 55 years old.
00:29Upon questioning, the operation team was led to a residence
00:33where 161 passports of various origins were seized.
00:37One of the two masterminds still had a valid temporary working pass,
00:41whereas the other had no valid documentation.
00:44The syndicate's modus operandi included offering passports to foreigners
00:48who do not have travel documents.
00:51They would use genuine passports or those that have expired,
00:54and transfer its bioreta information to their clients
00:58to obtain foreign workers' medical examination monitoring agency health examinations.
01:04Charging RM200 per transaction, the syndicate is believed to have been in operation for six months.
