Experience the rich, nutty flavours of Coconut Chicken Curry where tender chicken is simmered in a spiced coconut gravy made from freshly grated coconut creating a rustic and wholesome dish that’s bursting with authentic taste.

Ingredients:
1Kg Chicken
Ghee
Coconut Oil
1/2 Shell Grated Coconut
1 Medium Onion Sliced (Dry Roast)
1 Medium Onion Sliced (While Cooking Chicken)
3-4 Green Chillies Slit
1"Ginger Chopped
1 Medium Tomato Chopped
7-8 Garlic Flakes
8 Bedgi Red Chillies
2 Tsp Coriander Seeds
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
15-20 Peppercorns
1/4 Tsp Fennel Seeds
5-6 Cloves
2" Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
Little Coriander Leaves
5-10 Mint Leaves
1/2 Lemon size Tamarind
Salt as per taste
Water

How to remove the Smell from the Chicken.
1. Wash the Chicken thoroughly 5-6 times
2. Then to the Cleaned Chicken add 1 lemon Juice & Salt.
3. Mix it well.
4. Let it rest 10 -15 Minutes.
5. Then again wash the Chicken twice with water.

Method of Cooking:
1. Dry Roast Onion & Garlic Flakes till light brown.
2. Heat a Pan add 1 Tsp Ghee and fry Bedgi Red Chillies for few minutes.
3. Add Coriander Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Peppercorns, Fennel Seeds, Cloves & Cinnamon & fry till Aromatic.
4. Add all the ingredients above to a grinder with Turmeric Powder, little Coriander leaves, Mint Leaves, Tamarind, Salt & Water. Grind into a fine smoothy paste.
5. Collect the Ground Masala & the Masala Water in separate vessels.
6. Heat a Vessel add 1 Tsp Ghee + 1 Tsp Coconut Oil & fry the sliced Onions till light brown.
7. Then add the Slit Green Chillies, Chopped Ginger & Chopped Tomatoes & cook till Tomatoes are smushy.
8. Add Washed Chicken pieces & stir the Chicken pieces on high flame for 2 Mins & then add the Salt.
9. Cook till 1 boil & then simmer the flame & cook till 10 mins.
10. Add the Ground Masala + Masala Water to the Chicken and mix the masala well & at the same time add the Potatoes.
11. Cook on high flame till 1 boil.
12. Simmer the flame & cook till Potatoes are done.
