Ingredients
1.5 Kg Ripe Guavas
2 Tbsp Ghee
Sugar as per measurement of Guava Pulp
3 Half cut lemon juice
Red Food Colour (Optional)
Method of Cooking:
1. Clean & cut the Guavas.
2. Make cuts in the Guavas.
3. Steam the Guavas for about 15-20 mins on high flame.
4. Once done remove from the steamer & let it cool for few minutes.
5. Once cooled remove the seeds.
6. Grind in batches the deseeded guavas & prepare a fine paste.
7. Smash the seeds with a strainer & remove the pulp from the seeds.
8. Then mix both the paste & the pulp.
9. Now take a cup for measurement & measure the Guava Paste.
10. I got 5&¾ cup of Guava Paste.
11. So take the same cup for sugar measurement.
12. If 5&¾ cup of Guava Paste is taken then 5&¾ cup of sugar is required not less nor more.
13. If the measurement varies then you won’t be able to set the Guava Cheese, it will turn to Guava Jam.
14. Heat a deeper vessel & add 2 Tbsp Ghee.
15. Add the Guava Paste & give a quick stir.
16. Then add 5&¾ Cup of Sugar & also add 3 Half cut lemon juice & give a good stir.
17. As you stir the mixture thickens up.
18. You need to continuously stir till the mixture becomes very thick.
19. To know the consistency, you have to watch my video.
20. Grease the plates with ghee, pour the mixture into them, and let it set overnight.
21. Cut into desired shapes.
Your Yummy & Tasty Guava Cheese is ready.
