00:12we all had walking out of Deadpool and Wolverine.
00:14Keep in mind that for every question, there is a spoiler.
00:1810. Why does the TVA enlist 2024 Deadpool?
00:36Logan is so tonally different from the other X-Men films
00:40that one might assume it exists in another universe.
00:42Yet all of the Fox films are part of Earth-1005.
00:46In this continuity, Logan takes place in 2029,
00:50with almost all the X-Men dead and the future of mutants in question.
01:03Deadpool and Wolverine opens in 2018 before jumping ahead six years,
01:07so we guess Xavier will have a telepathic seizure
01:10that wipes out most of the X-Men within the next five years.
01:13While that adds up well enough,
01:15we don't get why the TVA pulled Deadpool from 2024.
01:19If Logan is Earth-1005's anchor being and his universe can't exist without him,
01:24wouldn't it have made more sense for the TVA to seek out Deadpool from 2029?

01:35God, I wish this were a bus where I could pull a string and get out.

01:42Deadpool tells Wolverine that there are only nine people he cares about,
01:46and they're all in one photograph.
01:48We feel like Deadpool is forgetting a few other friends.
01:51Given the real-world controversy concerning T.J. Miller,
01:54it makes sense why Weasel wasn't invited to the party,
01:57but Zossy Beetz's Domino was missed.
02:00Who says you can't call him again?
02:06After breaking out as a fan favorite in Deadpool 2,
02:09everyone, including Beetz, assumed Domino would be part of the third film.
02:13She isn't even mentioned, however.
02:15X-Force.
02:17Isn't that a little derivative?

02:23Since X-Force has disbanded, we can deduce that Domino forged a new path.
02:28Having played such a significant role in the last film though,
02:31you'd think Deadpool would have at least made a meta joke about her absence.
02:35What happened to Fire Fist, for that matter?
02:52Chris Hemsworth makes a sort of cameo as Thor on a TBA screen.
02:56Using footage from Thor The Dark World,
02:58Deadpool essentially takes Loki's place as he seemingly dies in Thor's arms.
03:03Mr. Paradox suggests this happens in the distant future,
03:06although it's never given a payoff.
03:08In a way, this scene is funnier without an explanation,
03:12but Deadpool isn't the only one who's still curious.
03:15I'm about to lose everything that I've ever cared about.
03:19Is this a throwaway gag,
03:21or is Marvel teasing a legit team-up between the God of Thunder and the Merc with a Mouth?
03:25Could this happen in the next two Avengers sequels?
03:27Even if this moment comes to fruition, it might not be what we think.
03:32Would you be that surprised if this emotional embrace was actually part of another play?
03:52Before our heroes can get to the final boss,
03:54they must fight through the Deadpool Corps.
03:57And yes, that is Blake Lively voicing Lady Poole,
04:00with Inez and Olin Reynolds playing Kid Poole and Baby Poole.
04:03Unlike Nice Poole, these Deadpool variants can heal from even the most dire injuries.
04:08Thanks to a last-minute intervention from good old Peter,
04:11the variants let Wade and Logan go in peace.
04:14This is the last we see of them, however.
04:17Now that they aren't serving Cassandra Nova anymore,
04:19did the variants return to the void or did they remain in Deadpool Prime's universe?
04:23Perhaps the next logical step would be for the following film
04:26to take a Spider-Verse approach with several Deadpools teaming up.
04:30But let's not get a head pool of ourselves.
04:46The cameos kept topping themselves,
04:48with Jennifer Garner and Wesley Snipes returning as Elektra and Blade respectively,
04:52while Channing Tatum finally got to play Gambit.
04:57He's got like a, I mean, you got like a serious Cajun accent.

05:01In the final act, Deadpool and Wolverine escape to Earth-1005,
05:06while the others are left to deal with Oliath.
05:08Upon meeting Hunter B-15,
05:10Deadpool asks if she can help his friends back in the void.
05:14Seeing how Laura shows up to dinner in the end,
05:16we imagine that Blade, Elektra and Gambit survived as well.
05:19Their whereabouts remain a mystery though.
05:27Were they returned to their universes or could the TVA have relocated them?
05:31Well, the important thing is that the door is open for Snipes' Blade
05:35to ice skate uphill with Mahershala Ali's Blade someday.

05:43How did X-23 wind up in the void?
05:45Why?

05:51Logan left us on a sad yet hopeful note
05:54as Laura sets out with several other children,
05:56implying that a new class of mutants might be on the horizon.
06:00We thought that would be the last we saw of her,
06:02but Daphne Keene reprises her role in Deadpool and Wolverine.
06:06It's mentioned that the TVA pruned Laura from her universe,
06:09and this is the same X-23 from Logan.
06:12You were always the wrong guy.
06:15Till you weren't.
06:16What isn't explained is when the TVA pruned her,
06:19why they pruned her and what happened to the other mutant children.
06:23Also, does Laura remain in 2024 with Wolverine and Deadpool?
06:27Does that mean there are two Lauras and two Logans
06:30simultaneously coexisting in Earth-1005?
06:34Instead of having dinner,
06:35shouldn't they try to prevent Xavier's disastrous seizure?

06:46Hey, remember that X-Men universe from the Marvels?
06:49Where are we?
06:50What happened?

06:55For those who skipped the Marvels,
06:57the mid-credits scene finds Monica Rambeau in another universe
07:00where she crosses paths with Hank McCoy, aka Beast.
07:04Although Kelsey Grammer once again portrays the character,
07:06the fact that this Beast is CGI
07:08leads us to believe he's not the same one from Earth-1005.
07:12You are now in a reality parallel to your own,
07:16which is, of course, impossible.
07:18The presence of Monica Rambeau's variant further suggests
07:21this is a separate universe.
07:23Since Deadpool and Wolverine followed the Marvels,
07:25we thought it might elaborate on this tease,
07:28but no.
07:29This film is less about introducing the next generation of X-Men
07:32and more about bidding farewell to the Fox era.
07:35Between Grammer and Ryan Reynolds, though,
07:37it's safe to say that Marvel will keep a few actors
07:40as mutants arrive in the MCU.

07:59Paradox explains to Deadpool that Logan is his universe's anchor being.
08:03Without him, Earth-1005 will perish over time.
08:07On a meta level, this cleverly commentates
08:09on how Fox's X-Men movies usually focused on Wolverine,
08:13and even when they didn't,
08:14a Hugh Jackman cameo seemed inevitable.

08:25If every universe has an anchor being,
08:28wouldn't most of them already be dying?

08:34Does Earth-616 have an anchor being?
08:36If so, was it Tony Stark?
08:38Does that mean the sacred timeline is slowly unraveling as we speak?

08:53Is this Hugh Jackman's last last stand?

08:59They're gonna make him do this till he's 90.
09:01If Robert Downey Jr. isn't done with the MCU,
09:04who's to say Hugh Jackman is?
09:06Deadpool mentions that Disney will make Jackman play Wolverine until he's 90,
09:10especially since this Wolverine survives.
09:13You were an X-Man.
09:16F**k, you were the X-Man.
09:18While there are other Wolverine variants out there,
09:21most of them look like Jackman,
09:22and we doubt Henry Cavill will be a mainstay.
09:25Kevin Feige has stated eventually another actor will play Wolverine,
09:29although this film gives us no indication of which actors Marvel might be eyeing.

09:36You're not the only one with gifts.
09:38Even when the clause are inevitably passed,
09:41Deadpool and Wolverine has left room for Jackman to return in some capacity.
09:45The same goes for Daphne Keen.
09:47Only time will tell if their MCU debut was a hello or a goodbye.

10:42Deadpool has used time travel to save Vanessa and Peter.
10:46We don't get why he didn't think to do it again.
10:49Or maybe Deadpool did consider this,
10:51but he realized the movie would have been shorter.
