00:06Let's know the latest update from Denise Osorio live.
00:10Denise?
00:12Ma'am, on the first day of school, students dropped out of their classes
00:20even though the super typhoon Kareena passed last week.
00:26On the invitation of the new Department of Education Secretary, Sonny Angara,
00:31he insisted that no student will be left out because they are implementing blended learning
00:37for students who have not yet entered or will enter this week.
00:42Angara also added that the blended learning system should be improved
00:47and the connectivity of schools should be improved.
00:51Some student journalists called the new Department of Education
00:55hoping that they can experience the improvements and other plans
00:59prepared by DepEd before they graduate this year.
01:03They added that not only the education system but also the teaching of teachers
01:08should be prioritized for the well-being of all students.
01:15Because of the current internet connectivity of schools,
01:18usually at best 60 to 70 percent only.
01:21Some hit 30 to 40 percent that are still not connected.
01:25So that's what we should take care of.
01:29We hope to see improvements and a better education system, especially now.
01:40Since we also face problems like lack of classrooms and staff,
01:47we hope to see improvements and a better future.
01:55Student journalists emphasized that teaching should not be a business
02:01and that teachers should be able to provide education and guidance to the next generation.
02:10Ma'am?
02:12Thank you very much, Denise Osorio.
