00:00Good afternoon. Here is the PTV Balintang. The Department of Labor and Employment is organizing these programs to help young people and students who want to work.
00:12In his press briefing, Labor Secretary Bienvenido Leguizma said that they are continuing their cooperation with the private sector to open up more opportunities.
00:24He also said that the government is continuously doing upskilling and training programs.
00:29Secretary Leguizma also added that the Information Business Processing Sector has committed 1 million jobs until 2028.
00:54He is actually happy that three programs which has something to do with youth employability has been provided additional budget by the President in his Agenda for Prosperity, which is the budget for 2025.
01:08And I am referring to the Special Program for the Employment of Students, the Government Internship Program, as well as the Job Start Program of the Department of Labor and Employment.
01:17In addition, we have now actually strengthened our Career Development Support Program.
01:24Basically, this has something to do with counseling and influencing, in close quote, our students to look at the perspective of what would be available jobs in the future once they are able to graduate.
01:37In other news, the National Task Force West Philippine Sea has revealed that China has accused the BRP Sierra Madre of destroying the coral reef ecosystem in Yongin Shoal.
01:50NTF-WPS spokesperson Jonathan Malaya also claimed that China has destroyed the corals because of the structures and artificial islands it built in the area.
02:01The Chinese experts in the Chinese state-owned media Global Times have already suspected that the BRP Sierra Madre is the one who destroyed the coral reefs and the environment in the South China Sea.
