01:07:39okay, well, I was in Yuzinki, it's very much a native town
01:07:44there's a really beautiful church there, that's been there for a while
01:07:48do you know anything about Alaskan history?

01:07:53so you know that Alaska was owned by the Russians at first, right?

01:07:58so the natives were super, were definitely impressed by the Russian corporation, basically
01:08:06but the priests in the Orthodox Church would very frequently intercede on their behalf
01:08:10and were like a welcoming respite from that abuse
01:08:14and the outcome from that is that the natives have very much an appreciation for Orthodoxy in Alaska to this day
01:08:21so it's really beautiful, we even have a couple saints who are native in the Orthodox Church
01:08:27for example, St. Peter the Aluit, he was exploring with the Russian corporation down in Northern California
01:08:35he was captured by the Spanish, and they tried to force him to convert to Catholicism
01:08:41but he said, I already had Jesus in my heart, because he was raised in Ghana
01:08:48and it's just really, really, and unfortunately he did, like we said earlier, receive the crown of martyrdom
01:08:56he was killed for that unrepentant belief, and he's really a well-known saint in the Orthodox faith
01:09:02he's a native himself, so it's really beautiful, the history there
01:09:06and I got to see some beautiful churches, I got to learn about the culture
01:09:10I'm actually going to be going to the church in Kodiak, I'll be able to check out the relics of St. Herman of Alaska
01:09:20he basically brought Orthodoxy to the natives to an extent
01:09:26and he also gave them their language, the language was actually written down for them through him
01:09:33so it's really, really, really beautiful and really fascinating
01:09:37I just want to share a little history for you, because I know you like math, and you like a little bit of history
