00:00In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
00:18Praise to our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And with your spirit.
00:25I confess to Almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have committed sin.
00:35And in my thoughts and in my words, and what I have done and what I have failed to do,
00:42through my fault, through my fault, through my most hateful fault,
00:47that everyone else was a very young virgin,
00:50allow me, angels and saints, and you, my brothers and sisters,
00:55to pray for me to the Lord our God.
00:58May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to everlasting life.
01:03Amen.
01:04Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy.
01:07Christ have mercy. Christ have mercy.
01:10Lord have mercy. Lord have mercy.
01:14O God, who manifest your almighty power above all by pardoning and showing mercy,
01:21bestow, we pray, your grace abundantly upon us,
01:24and make those hastening to attain your promises heirs to the treasures of heaven.
01:30To our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
01:35God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:44The following message came to Jeremiah from the Lord.
01:48Stand at the gate of the house of the Lord.
01:51And there proclaim this message.
01:54Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah,
01:57who enter these gates to worship the Lord.
02:01Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel.
02:05Reform your ways and your deeds,
02:08so that I may remain with you in this place.
02:12Put not your trust in the deceitful words.
02:15This is the temple of the Lord.
02:18The temple of the Lord.
02:20The temple of the Lord.
02:22Only if you thoroughly reform your ways and your deeds,
02:26if each of you deals justly with his neighbor,
02:30if you no longer oppress the resident alien,
02:33the orphan and the widow,
02:36if you no longer shed innocent blood in this place,
02:40or follow strange gods to your own harm,
02:44will I remain with you in this place,
02:47in the land I gave your fathers long ago and forever.
02:51But here you are, putting your trust in deceitful words to your own loss.
02:56Are you to steal and murder, commit adultery and perjury,
03:01burn incense to Baal,
03:03go after strange gods that you know not,
03:07and yet come to stand before me
03:09in this house which bears my name and say,
03:13We are safe, we can commit all these abominations again.
03:18Has this house which bears my name
03:21become in your eyes a den of thieves?
03:24I too see what is being done, says the Lord.
03:28The word of God.
03:30Thanks be to God.
03:32Responsorial Psalm
03:35How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord, mighty God!
03:45My soul yearns and pines
03:48for the courts of the Lord,
03:50my heart and my flesh
03:53cry out for the living God.
04:00Even the sparrow finds a home
04:03and the swallow a nest
04:05in which she puts her young.
04:08Your altars, O Lord of hosts,
04:11my King and my God.
04:14How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord, mighty God!
04:18Blessed they who dwell in your house,
04:21continually they praise you.
04:24Blessed the men whose strength you are,
04:27they go from strength to strength.
04:30How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord, mighty God!
04:35I had rather one day in your courts
04:38than a thousand elsewhere.
04:41I had rather lie at the threshold of the house of my God
04:45than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
04:48How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord, mighty God!
04:52Alleluia! Alleluia!
04:55Humbly welcome the word that has been planted in you
04:59and is able to save your souls.
05:02Alleluia! Alleluia!
05:05The Lord be with you
05:07and with your spirit.
05:09Reading from the Holy Gospel
05:12According to Matthew
05:14Glory to you, O Lord!
05:17Jesus proposed a parable to the crowds.
05:21The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man
05:24who sowed good seed in his field.
05:27While everyone was asleep his enemy came
05:30and sowed weeds all through the wheat
05:33and then went off.
05:35When the crop grew and bore fruit
05:37the weeds appeared as well.
05:39The slaves of the householder came to him and said,
05:43Master, did you not sow good seed in your field?
05:47Where have the weeds come from?
05:49He answered, An enemy has done this.
05:52His slaves said to him,
05:54Do you want us to go and pull them up?
05:57He replied, No, if you pull up the weeds
06:00you might uproot the wheat along with them.
06:04Let them grow together until harvest.
06:07Then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters,
06:11First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning.
06:15But gather the wheat into my barn.
06:18The Gospel of the Lord
06:20Praise you Lord Jesus Christ
06:24Blessed are you Lord God of all creation
06:26for to your goodness we have received the bread we offer you.
06:29Fruit of the earth and work of human hands
06:31it will become for us the bread of life.
06:33Blessed be God forever.
06:45Blessed be God forever.
06:53Blessed are you Lord God of all creation
06:55for to your goodness we have received the wine we offer you.
06:58Fruit of the vine and work of human hands
07:00it will become our spirit jewelry.
07:03Blessed be God forever.
07:14Pray my brothers and sisters
07:16that my sacrifice and yours
07:18may be acceptable to God our Almighty Father.
07:20May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands
07:23for the praise and glory of his name
07:26for our good and the good of all his holy Church.
07:29Grant you Lord God
07:32that this our offering may find acceptance with you
07:36and that through it the wellspring of all blessings
07:39may be laid open before us
07:42through Christ our Lord.
07:44Amen.
07:45The Lord be with you.
07:46And with your spirit.
07:48Lift up your hearts.
07:49Lift them up to the Lord.
07:51We thank you Lord God.
07:53It is truly right and just.
07:55Our duty and our salvation
07:57always and everywhere to give you thanks.
07:59Lord, Holy Father, Almighty and Eternal God
08:02through Christ our Lord.
08:03For he is the true and eternal priest
08:05who instituted the pattern of a never-lasting sacrifice
08:09and was the first to offer himself as a saving victim
08:12commanding us to make this offering as his memorial.
08:15As we eat his flesh that was sacrificed for us
08:18we may strive.
08:19And as we drink his blood that was poured out for us
08:21we must feed.
08:22And so with angels and archangels
08:24with trolls and dominions
08:26and with all the hosts and powers of heaven
08:28we sing to him of your glory
08:30as without end we attain.
08:33Glory to God, the Lord, God of hosts
08:37heaven and earth are full of your glory
08:40Hosanna in the highest.
08:42Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
08:45Hosanna in the highest.
08:49Today we have a quote from St. Jerome
08:52the great scripture scholar on the Holy Eucharist.
08:54He said,
08:55After the tithing being fulfilled by the Passover celebration
08:59and he had eaten the lamb with his apostles
09:04he takes bread which stretches the heart of man
09:07and goes on to the truest argument of the Passover
09:10so that just as Melchizedek, the priest of the Most High God
09:14in prefiguring him made bread and wine an offering
09:17he too makes himself manifest
09:20in the reality of his own body and blood.
09:25You're indeed holy and we glorify your God
09:28and love him in rest
09:29and who always walk with us on the journey of life.
09:32Blessed indeed is your son present in our midst
09:34when we're gathered by his love
09:36and when his wants for his disciples are not for us
09:39he opens the scriptures and breaks the bread.
09:41Therefore, Father most merciful
09:43we ask that you send forth your Holy Spirit
09:45to sanctify and reduce the bread and wine
09:48that they may become for us
09:50the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:53On the day before he was to suffer
09:55on the night of the Last Supper
09:57he took bread and said the blessing
09:59broke the bread and gave it to his disciples saying
10:02take this all of you and eat of it
10:05for this is my body which will be given up for you.
10:16In a similar way when supper was ended
10:19he took the chalice, gave you thanks
10:20he gave the chalice to his disciples saying
10:22take this all of you drink from it
10:25for this is the chalice of my blood
10:27the blood of the new and eternal covenant
10:29which will be poured out for you and for me
10:33for the forgiveness of sins
10:35do this in memory of me.
10:43The mystery of faith.
10:45We proclaim your death, O Lord
10:47and profess your resurrection.
10:49I turn you now in.
10:51Therefore, Holy Father, as we celebrate
10:53the memorial of Christ, your Son, our Savior
10:56whom he led to his past and death
10:57on the cross to the glory of the resurrection
10:59and whom you have seated at your right hand
11:01we proclaim the work of your love until he comes again
11:04and we offer you the bread of life
11:05and the chalice of blessing.
11:07Look with favor on the oblation of your church
11:10in which we show forth the past and sacrifice of Christ
11:12as being handed down to us
11:14and granted by the power of the Spirit of your love
11:17we may be counted now and unto the day of eternity
11:20among the members of your Son
11:21in whose body and blood we have communion.
11:24Bring your church, O Lord, to perfect faith and charity
11:27together with Francis our Pope
11:29and Louis our Bishop
11:31with all bishops, priests, and deacons
11:33and the entire people of your major order.
11:35Open our eyes to the needs of our brothers and sisters
11:38inspiring us words and actions
11:40to comfort those who labor and are burdened.
11:43May you serve them truly after the example of Christ
11:46and at his command.
11:47And may your church stand as a living witness
11:50to truth and freedom, to peace and justice
11:52that all people may be raised up to a new hope.
11:55Remember our brothers and sisters
11:57who have fallen asleep in the peace of your Christ
11:59and all the days of safety you alone have known.
12:02Admit them to rejoice in the light of your face
12:05and in the resurrection give them the fullness of life.
12:08Grant also to us when our earthly pilgrimage is done
12:12that we may come to an eternal dwelling place
12:14and live with you forever.
12:16There in communion with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God
12:19who blessed Joseph her spouse
12:21with the apostles and martyrs
12:23and with all the saints
12:25we shall praise and exalt you
12:27through Jesus Christ your Son.
12:29Through him and with him and in him
12:32O God Almighty Father
12:34in the unity of the Holy Spirit
12:36all glory and honor is yours
12:38forever and ever.
12:40Amen. Amen. Amen.
12:51At the Savior's command
12:55and followed by my teaching
12:57we dare to pray.
12:59Our Father who art in heaven
13:01hallowed be thy name
13:03thy kingdom come
13:05thy will be done
13:07on earth as it is in heaven
13:09give us this day our daily bread
13:11and forgive us our trespasses
13:14as we forgive those who trespass against us
13:18and lead us not into temptation
13:21but deliver us from evil.
13:23Deliver us Lord we pray from every evil
13:25graciously grant peace in our days
13:27that by the help of your mercy
13:29we may be always free from sin
13:31and take from all distress
13:33as we await the blessed hope
13:35and the coming of our Savior Jesus Christ.
13:37Amen. Amen. Amen.
13:42Lord Jesus Christ who said to your apostles
13:44peace I leave you, my peace I give you
13:46look not on our sins
13:48but on the faith of your church
13:50and graciously grant her peace and unity
13:52in accordance with your will
13:54who live and reign forever and ever.
13:56Amen. May the peace of the Lord
13:58be with you always.
14:00And with your spirit.
14:02Let us offer each other a sign of thanksgiving.
14:08Lamb of God
14:10who take away the sins of the world
14:12have mercy on us
14:14Lamb of God
14:16who take away the sins of the world
14:18have mercy on us
14:20Lamb of God
14:22who take away the sins of the world
14:24grant us peace.
14:26Behold the Lamb of God
14:28behold him who takes away
14:30the sins of the world
14:32blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.
14:34For I am not worthy
14:36that you should enter under my roof
14:38but only say the word
14:40and my disciples shall be healed.
14:42May the body and blood of Christ
14:44keep us safe. Amen.
14:46My Jesus
14:48I believe that you are present
14:50in the most blessed sacrament
14:52I love you above all things
14:54and I desire to receive you into my soul
14:56since I cannot now
14:58receive you sacramentally
15:00come at least spiritually into my heart
15:02I embrace you as if
15:04you were already there
15:06and unite myself wholly to you
15:08never permit me to be
15:10separated from you. Amen.
15:12Let us pray
15:14May this heavenly mystery, O Lord
15:16restore us in mind and body
15:18that we may be co-heirs
15:20in glory with Christ
15:22to whose suffering we are united
15:24whenever we proclaim his death
15:26who lives and reigns forever and ever.
15:28Amen. The Lord be with you.
15:30And may Almighty God
15:32bless you, the Father,
15:34the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
15:36Go in peace glorifying the Lord
15:38by your life. Thank you Jesus.
