00:00Breaking news out of Frisco where our man Stephen Jones has visited with our

00:08friend Diana Rossini on her new podcast broadcast and Diana is reporting that

00:14the Cowboys are as we speak here in Frisco having positive talks with the

00:20agent Todd France about Dak Prescott and that Dak Prescott is involved directly

00:28in those positive talks that is a thumbs-up sign and it has been for 30

00:35years or so when the player gets involved and of course sometimes Jerry

00:40Jones will get the player involved and forget to tell the agent but when the

00:43player when the player gets involved with the approval of the agent that's

00:50almost always a very good sign now it doesn't solve everything but positive

00:56conversations on the eve of the start of training camp with the stated

01:00deadline to get it done by the start of the season this is a sign and it's a

01:05good one now do you pay Dak for what he's done or what he's gonna do do you

01:10pay Dak the going rate of 55 can you keep it under that does Dak Prescott

01:15want 60 knowing that if he waits he'll get it almost certainly all those things

01:22are in play and so is the idea of a hometown discount I go back to what

01:26tank Lawrence once said when Steven Jones said hey we got now we got some

01:30cap concerns we'd like to fold you in you know can you give up a little bit to

01:34get and tank said oh you got cap concerns yeah that's that's that's your

01:37problem Steven you're the cap guy not me we'll see what Dak Prescott's response

01:41and Todd Francis response is to all that keep in mind that what they did in the

01:46construction of this contract four years ago was intended to get them here now

01:51now it wasn't intended necessarily to have 60 million dollar APY contracts but

01:57France and Dak and Steven all mapped this out the last contract was meant to

02:05lead into an extension here and now they are talking Diana says positively about

02:10that very thing in Frisco with the Cowboys and kind of in the jungle fish
