00:00The injury report from a Sunday slate in the National Football
00:09League week number nine and that Sunday slate now in the book.
00:12So we give you the injury insight and analysis with the pro
00:16football doc.
00:17Dr.
00:17David Chow live right here on this Monday on the early line.
00:22Dr.
00:22Chow glad to have you here.
00:23Never easy talking about injuries, but we have to project
00:26moving forward.
00:27So we're glad to have you here on the early line to look back
00:30on the Sunday slate.
00:32Always happy to be here.
00:34Unfortunately in the collision sport of football.
00:37There's always stuff.
00:38It's never just everything is good.
00:41Yeah.
00:42Yep.
00:42Of course topics of conversation for sure knee as we look at
00:46what happened yesterday for the Dallas Cowboys doc the injuries
00:51to the insult of dropping a third consecutive game and getting
00:54beat by the Falcons on the road in Atlanta.
00:57We start with the quarterback.
00:58Of course, that is Dak Prescott exited the game early with a
01:01hamstring injury the Cowboys saying he is set to undergo an
01:05MRI early this week.
01:08Dr.
01:08Chow from what you in the war room was able to see yesterday
01:12at Sports Injury Central.
01:13What do you think the prognosis is for Dak Prescott returning
01:16to the gridiron?
01:18The hamstring is a big deal for him the hand not so much the
01:23cut on the hand and the swelling look the grips on the Palmer
01:26side.
01:26Not the backside.
01:28That's not an issue.
01:29The hamstring is a big deal for a couple of reasons.
01:32Number one, it's rare to injure your hamstring throwing the
01:36ball.
01:36It's more running.
01:37But when you do injure your hamstring throwing the ball,
01:40especially when it's your back foot.
01:42It is a key part of the throwing motion in terms of driving
01:46the ball downfield and accuracy.
01:49So it's not just about moving in the pocket or scrambling.
01:52It's about downfield accuracy.
01:54This is a huge deal for the Cowboys.
01:57Look, I think there's a reasonable chance that he misses
01:59the game.
01:59And if he plays he's not going to be a hundred percent.
02:03The only way he plays it near 100% is oh, he felt something
02:07in the hamstring, but it was like spasm and there's actually
02:10no damage on the MRI in that case, then he would be fine.
02:13But right now this is the biggest worry of the week right
02:17now in terms of certainly that big Eagles Cowboys game way
02:20bigger worry than CD.
02:21Lamb, by the way, glad you brought that up.
02:24Perfect.
02:24Segway dock is the Eagles do play the Cowboys this week
02:27and we're talking about a pair of wide receivers.
02:29One in CD.
02:29Lamb left that football game late checked out with a shoulder
02:32injury, but also AJ Brown.
02:34The steerless.
02:34He took a hit before the half doc.
02:36I'm an Eagles fan.
02:37Can you start with AJ Brown?
02:38Give me some good news, please on AJ.
02:42Look from the war room.
02:43We look at video.
02:44It was downfield.
02:46There was only one angle.
02:47We cannot be conclusive, but we don't have any worry for serious
02:53significant season-ending injury or anything like that.
02:57We think it's a mild knee sprain.
02:59He may have got his MCL very mildly.
03:02Obviously, he did not return.
03:03It is a short turnaround to this week's game.
03:06Not impossible that he plays.
03:08He can run in a straight line cutting might be a little limited.
03:11The good news is AJ Brown will be back.
03:14We'll be back quickly.
03:15Is it definite that he'll be back this week remains to be seen, but the
03:19fact that the possibilities open is good and I always like delivering
03:23good news.
03:23And so this one is relatively good news.
03:26Same with CD lamb.
03:27He heard it early in the game stayed in the game, right?
03:30AC joint sprain that's been conferred by media now.
03:34Look, everyone gets an MRI.
03:36He's going to get an MRI MRIs are like, you know, a candy at Halloween.
03:39Okay, everyone passes it out.
03:42Don't think there's going to be anything structural with his labrum or
03:45rotator cuff.
03:46He's going to play through maybe even with an injection now that they know
03:50there's no additional structural damage CD lamb.
03:53Yes, AJ Brown.
03:54Maybe a chance Dak Prescott on the dubious side.
03:59Yeah, the Eagles because of all of that Doc a six and a half point road
04:03favorite at the star for that huge divisional duel on Sunday afternoon.
04:0843 and a half is the total for week number 10 other wide receiver injury
04:13news.
04:13Let's go to Drake.
04:14London caught a touchdown early yesterday for the Falcons in the wind
04:18over the Cowboys and then left the game early with a hip injury.
04:22The Falcons continue to be the only team in the NFC South with a winning
04:26record divisional game for them upcoming in New Orleans on Sunday.
04:31Doc.
04:31What are the chances that Drake London able to suit up and play moving
04:34forward in week 10?
04:36Drake London has a hip pointer.
04:38He fell on in on the touchdown catch tried to stay in the game.
04:42Ultimately left hip pointers get more sore over the time over the course
04:46of the game and it really depends on what he looks like today.
04:49If he walks in today limping and on crutches and got more sore overnight.
04:53It's not going to happen this week.
04:55It all depends on what he looks like today when he hits the training room.
04:58Don't see this as long-term.
05:00Is this a week or two?
05:01It could be but it's definitely not long-term for Drake London.
05:05Doc.
05:06Let me squeeze one in on a concussion issue with Chris Olave in the
05:08New Orleans Saints yesterday.
05:10Look bad got carded off the field.
05:11The reason I want to bring this up to you is getting concussion so close
05:14together.
05:15What does that mean for the rest of the season?
05:16And quite frankly, maybe a lot of his career.
05:20Well, you make a really good point there and that's what we said from the
05:23war room here.
05:23This is his second concussion in two weeks and even last week when he
05:28didn't get a concussion.
05:29He got hit and got a head injury check.
05:32The rule of thumb is first concussion out a week second concussion out a
05:37month third season.
05:39Look, this is the second concussion in two weeks.
05:42His fifth in his career.
05:43He's going to miss at least four weeks is our belief on injury reserve.
05:48And at that point the way the Saints have lost seven straight games.
05:51Are we better off just shutting him down for the season?
05:55You know, so that's what's really on the table for him.
05:58Seven games skid for New Orleans.
06:00They just fired Dennis Allen this morning midway through his third year.
06:05Not a good recipe right now in the big easy.
06:07Dr.
06:08Chow one more game in week number nine.
06:11We go to Monday night in Kansas City, the Chiefs and the Buccaneers.
06:14We know about Tampa, of course, and their top targets.
06:17No, Mike Evans.
06:18No, Chris Godwin for tonight elsewhere, though.
06:21What's the health like for both of these teams entering the Monday night
06:24matchup?
06:26Well, you know the thankfully, you know, the health is on the rise is the
06:29Kansas City endured their share of stuff.
06:31They've got trades.
06:32They, you know, employ for tight ends and you know, they got a new running
06:36back, you know, all sorts of things.
06:37They've been shoring up to and loading up Tampa.
06:41Not so lucky there.
06:42They're too many wide receivers obviously out but in general both teams
06:46heading a little bit up towards the upside and obviously you're seeing the
06:50big wide receiver issues there for Tampa on the screen and you know, Pacheco
06:55might even make it back for the Chiefs come December.
06:58Not quite yet, but he's got a little more ways to go.
07:01We will talk about that Kareem Hunt back with Kansas City has been very
07:06good in relief.
07:07Dr.
07:08David Chow.
07:08You saw the field views there.
07:10You can continue to see that at six score.com.
07:13That's SIC score.com.
07:15Dr.
07:15Chow, as always, thank you for your time.
07:19No problem.
