With Dak Prescott out for the next few games (if not the rest of the season), what is the Cowboys' future at quarterback? Do you want the team to start veteran Cooper Rush to try and win games in 2024, or should they start Trey Lance to see what they have in him? The Fan After Dark discusses this murky future as well as James Jones' ignorant comments about Dak quitting on his team.

00:00He's basically saying that Dak has quit on the football team, on the Cowboys, right?
00:21Me and Fred refute it.
00:22You and I both.
00:23Dak's a lot of things, the quitter's not one of them.
00:27Dak will go out there and throw five picks before he decides, I'm going to quit on this.
00:32You may wish he would sit down sometimes with some of the throws he makes, but Dak's not
00:36a quitter.
00:37And if anything of people, I've kind of heard this theory out in social media, I've seen
00:40it in person, of like, I never really saw the injury, it wasn't that bad, or this.
00:44Maybe it was the team's, I'm speculating.
00:46Maybe it was the team's decision to sit him down.
00:48I don't think Dak Waltoner said, hey, if I can't go, just put me on the IR.
00:52I must guarantee you Dak Prescott did not say that.
00:56Jerry Jones probably made that decision.
00:58Correct.
00:59Jon Meshota said, I've heard a lot of dumb takes while covering this team, saying Dak
01:02Prescott quit on this team with the hamstring injury is the dumbest, or Jon Meshota.
01:07Hands down.
01:08And we love Johnny Matches.
01:10We love JM, and again, I'll say, I'm not a Dak cheerleader, and would I want Dak quarterbacking
01:21my team?
01:23Probably not.
01:24Okay?
01:26I'll say this much, if you're Jerry Jones, and you're going to fire Mike McCarthy, which
01:33I think we're all in agreement, it's slim to none that he's going to be back as your
01:37head coach next year, and Slim's leaving town.
01:40What are you doing if he signs into a three-year deal at the end of the year?
01:44I mean, I would be stunned.
