00:25Well, I mean, considering the fact that he was, what, second in the MVP voting,
00:30led the league in touchdowns.
00:32I mean, the guy was pretty phenomenal last year.
00:34And I know we push it toward the playoffs.
00:37And it's interesting to me because everybody looks at Dak, well,
00:40you can't win in the playoffs.
00:42Like, we need a new quarterback.
00:43Or hey, I mean, Mike McCarthy is a great coach.
00:4712 wins the last three years straight, but he can't win in the playoffs.
00:51The Cowboys haven't won in the playoffs since the 90s.
00:53I mean, like, it's more systemic of the organization.
00:57It's more about pointing the finger at the organization.
01:01We keep thinking that changing the quarterback or
01:03changing the coach is gonna change your playoff future.
01:05I just don't know.
01:07Like, I'm a Dak Prescott believer.
01:11I think he's a damn good quarterback.
01:13I think he's a guy that if the Cowboys decided, well,
01:17we're just not gonna pay the guy and let him walk.
01:20Now, obviously, there's gonna be 20-some odd teams that can't wait to sign him.
01:24So he's a guy to me that you sign, you get him done, you figure it out,
01:28and you move on.
01:30And the other thing that I always say is, I mean,
01:34look what the San Francisco 49ers have done.
01:36They've signed Aiyuk.
01:37They made Christian McCaffrey a big money contract.
01:41Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel a couple years ago.
01:44They just signed Trent Williams today.
01:46Like, you know, Bosa is signed to a big-time deal.
01:50Fred Warner signed to a big-time deal.
01:52The salary cap is fake.
01:54It's just a matter of if you wanna push money into the future or not.
01:57You know, it just is a matter of if you wanna manage it well and
01:59pay your really good players, or if you don't.
02:03And I don't know what else you have to learn about Dak to know that that is a
02:07damn good quarterback and gives you a chance to at least be in the playoffs
02:12every year.
02:13Shoot, I live in Denver, or I've lived in Denver for, you know,
02:16for the last 20-some-odd years, and I know what it's been like going
02:21through kind of quarterback purgatory the last couple of years.
02:23So do I pay him?
02:24Hell yeah, I pay him.
