Adobe Dimension is a 3D Mockup tool which is a part of Adobe Creative Cloud. In this course, you will learn how to work in a 3d environment, import 3d models, add in textures, render and export final outputs.
In this video lesson, we will learn about Adding Custom Textures in Models in Adobe Dimension.

00:00So over here, you can see that I have a cup and let's say in this cup, I want to go around
00:09and add in custom textures.
00:12In that case, you can go around and then select out this particular object right here.
00:16In my case, this is a multi object model, so I'm going to select the cup where I want
00:21to add the texture and then I'm going to go around onto file, then onto import and place
00:26graphics on the model right here and then select out the flower right here like this.
00:31So now I can go around and expand it right here.
00:34I can go around and then expand it from the side and rotate it around as well.
00:39You can go around, change around the roughness, change around the metallicness right here
00:43as well.
00:44Apart from that, you can fill it out over here as well, and then you can change around
00:48it into repeat or mirror right here as I go around.
00:52And then you can see that this is the pattern that you get right here.
00:55You can go around, change around the roughness around over here as well.
00:59So let's say for example, you can change around the opacity and roughness right here and the
01:04metallicness as well.
01:06But let me just go around, keep it as it is right here.
01:09On the top, let's say I want to add in another graphics right here.
01:14In that case, you can simply go around and then select out the cup right here again.
01:18And then I'm going to go around onto file, onto import and place graphics on model and
01:23select this butterfly PNG right here.
01:26And now since it is a PNG, you can see that this is what you have.
01:31So it is not actually taking up, it is actually transparent and you can keep it, place it
01:37wherever you want.
01:38You can change the metallicness right here and change around the roughness as you can
01:41see right here and change around the opacity as well.
01:45And this is what you have.
01:46You can see some shiny butterfly right here, just like this.
01:50On the top as well, let's say for example, I want to go around, add the butterfly on
01:54the lid.
01:55Then I can go around, place the graphics on the model and keep the PNG right here, just
01:59like this.
02:00So once I go around and do that, this is what you have.
02:03And now let me just go around and resize this out right here, just like this.
02:08And if I were to go around and scale this out, then you can see that this is what you
02:12have right here.
02:13So now I can go around and change this out right here, just like this and change this
02:18around as you can see this like this.
02:20And this is what you have, as you can see right here.
02:23So now if I were to go around and then go for, let's say for example, a render preview,
02:29then you can see that this is what you have with all the textures and so forth.
02:33This is how the model looks and that is how you can go ahead and add in custom textures
02:38to models inside of Adobe Dimension.
02:41So I hope you found this video useful.
