00:00Thomas and the Runaway Car
00:04It was a beautiful day on the island of Sodor.
00:09Thomas was feeling especially happy.
00:12He was on his way to Brendam Docks to collect the special special.
00:18It was the day of the Sodor show.
00:21The Fat Controller's brand new car was being unloaded.
00:25It was in Lady Hat's favourite colour, Hat Blue.
00:31The Fat Controller had chosen Thomas to take the car from the docks to the Sodor show.
00:39Thomas was so proud he thought his boiler would burst.
00:45Rocky was slowly lowering the car onto a flatbed.
00:50All the engines wanted this job, Thomas puffed proudly.
00:55The Fat Controller chose me to take the brand new bandstand, huffed Gordon.
01:01And I'm ready to go. I'll be first at the Sodor show.
01:06This made Thomas cross.
01:09I'll deliver the Fat Controller's brand new car to the Sodor show before you, Thomas whistled.
01:15Pah! snorted Gordon and he chuffed off grandly.
01:21Hurry up Rocky, puffed Thomas.
01:24I must be careful and you must wait, said Rocky.
01:30But Thomas didn't want to wait.
01:33At last the car was on the flatbed.
01:38Hooray! tooted Thomas.
01:41Thomas pumped his pistons ready to race.
01:45He didn't wait for the dockmen to connect the couplings.
01:49He steamed off, pushing the Fat Controller's brand new Hat Blue car.
01:55Wait Thomas, called Rocky.
01:58Wait, called the dockmen.
02:00But Thomas had a race to win and no time to lose.
02:06I'll show Gordon who's the fastest, tooted Thomas.
02:13The children cheered as he puffed past.
02:17I'm on my way to the Sodor show, he chuffed cheerfully.
02:22The fastest way to the Sodor show was to puff over Gordon's hill.
02:29Thomas' axles tingled and his wheels trembled.
02:34Whee! he gasped and then...
02:39Whoa!
02:40The Fat Controller's brand new Hat Blue car slid away from Thomas and down the other side of the hill.
02:49Oh no! cried Thomas and he raced after the runaway car.
02:56Percy was waiting.
02:59Arthur puffed slowly into a siding.
03:02He had heavy wagons of fish.
03:05Look out Arthur!
03:08Arthur's wheels spun as he raced straight into the butters.
03:14The fish shot into the air.
03:17Oh no! cried Arthur.
03:21Just then Thomas chased through the junction.
03:24Sorry Arthur, he gasped.
03:26I have to keep up with the runaway car.
03:30The runaway brand new Hat Blue car raced on.
03:35Thomas puffed harder and harder.
03:39Ahead there were works on the track.
03:42Thick mud was everywhere.
03:46Rosie had just left the wash down.
03:49Suddenly she saw the runaway car racing towards her.
03:54Oh no! cried Rosie.
03:59Rosie was covered in mud.
04:02Sorry Rosie, tooted Thomas and he raced off.
04:09The brand new Hat Blue car sped towards a junction.
04:14Gordon was waiting with the bandstand.
04:17Then there was trouble.
04:24Oh no! cried Thomas.
04:28Gordon was surprised.
04:30I told you I'd get to the Sodor Show first.
04:34And he puffed proudly away.
04:38Thomas huffed up to the haystack.
04:42Cinders and ashes! he cried.
04:45I've lost the race and now the Fat Controller's brand new car won't be at the Sodor Show on time.
04:52Thomas felt terrible.
04:55I must go back to the docks for Rocky, he puffed.
04:59Thomas pumped his pistons.
05:02Then he stopped.
05:04But I'm not strong enough to pull Rocky on my own, he wheezed.
05:08Gordon puffed proudly back down the line.
05:12He had won the race and delivered the bandstand.
05:16Gordon, whistled Thomas, I need your help.
05:19Gordon could see that Thomas was very upset.
05:23Please Gordon, would you go and collect Rocky?
05:26It needs a strong engine like you.
05:29Gordon liked everyone to know that he was strong.
05:33He also liked to help his friend Thomas.
05:36So Gordon raced to the docks.
05:42Gordon collected Rocky.
05:44He steamed back as fast as he could.
05:49Thomas was very happy to see Gordon chuff up with Rocky.
05:53This time Thomas waited patiently as Rocky lifted the Fat Controller's car out of the haystack.
06:03Thomas wanted to thank his friend Gordon.
06:06Gordon, he tooted, would you like to deliver the car?
06:11Gordon knew that delivering the brand new hat blue car was the most important job on the island.
06:19Thank you Thomas, he smiled to his friend.
06:33This time there was no race.
06:37The two friends arrived together at the Sodor Show.
06:42The Fat Controller and Lady Hat were very pleased to see their brand new hat blue car.
06:50Everyone clapped and cheered.
06:53And Thomas cheered loudest of all.
