08:22And switching from career to career to career, somehow they came back to this.
08:28From there is where Victoria started to be born, because she was just a way for me to mash all my likes and passions into one career.
08:37And look where I am now.
08:39This is amazing.
08:41I cannot believe.
08:42I can't believe that I'm here.
08:43There's girls on this show that are changing drag and altering the way drag is looked at.
08:48And it's saying, F you to the trends.
08:50And it's wiping out the whole idea that you have to look a certain way and act a certain way and be a certain type of queen.
08:56And seeing queens on this show who love what they do and express what they do with no fears, no regrets, no remorse.
09:04That's why I wanted to be on this show.
09:05That's why I auditioned.
09:06I wanted to be the new face of drag.
09:08I want to change what drag is about.
09:10I want to change where drag is going.
09:11And I see Dragula as the future of drag.
09:14They are making a whole new path for queer artists, for the LGBT plus queer movement.
09:21They're changing the world for our community.
09:23And that's what I want to be a part of.
09:25Growing up, I was obviously effeminate.
09:28And that was like the hardest part about growing up, was someone labeling you something that you didn't even know or could understand in that moment.
09:35Like, you get called a faggot.
09:36And you're like, why the fuck do I have to put up with this shit?
09:39And I would go home and, like, fucking hate myself.
09:41I hated myself so much on things that I couldn't even change.
09:45And when I would go home, I would just disappear in video games.
09:48I'd boot up, like, fighting games with these gorgeous Glamazonian women with, like, thongs and battle axes.
09:54And they would just kick the shit out of these douchebag guys.
09:57I was able to get my revenge in these awesome phenom characters.
10:02And when I first started getting into drag, I was doing it for fun.
10:06But then I realized I could actually be those gorgeous women that I always idolized.
10:10That's why I do drag, and that's why I love art.
10:12Where I grew up and where I came from, I was put into a box, and I was told I couldn't do things.
10:17And that I wasn't allowed to be who I wanted to be.
10:19You know, if you have dreams and you have ambitions that you've always wanted to do, you have to be the one to do it.
10:27No one's going to hand you your dreams on a platter.
10:30You have to fight for it, and it's not going to be the easiest thing.
10:33People will criticize you. People will tell you you're not doing it right.
10:36They're going to tell you that you're not a real queen, or you're not a real type of person.
10:42But if you believe in yourself, and if you really love who you are and what you want to do, there's nothing going to stop you.
10:49You just have to do it.
10:52I finally feel like I have all the tools to keep going, even after this.
10:56And just going full force, becoming a traveling show.
11:00I just want to keep going.
11:02From here, it's only up, and I'm learning more and more every day about what I can do.
11:06And I'm challenging myself, and I surprise myself every day.
11:09I really have a lot of faith in me to do really well after this.
11:14I feel like I should win Jagula, because there's this guttural, visceral energy within me when I'm on stage.
11:21When I have the character on.
11:23And it's this beast.
11:25And I feel like that beast is in each and every one.
11:29And when I am bitch-putting, I can see that I inspire people to bring that out within them.
11:33That fire they kind of hinder, that passion they kind of put away.
11:36Because society says, fuck that, you're not good enough.
11:38But, like, you are good enough.
11:40You are sickening.
11:42You are that nasty freak in the closet.

11:47And I feel like I should be Dragula, because I embrace every facet of that.

14:15In these visionary creations that you're able to execute, where is the Victoria?
14:19I was happy tonight that you came out of your shell a little bit, which we've been pressing you to do for a long time.
14:25I kind of feel like I know the answer to this question, but I want to ask it anyway.
14:28On any level, do you think you're better than the rest of these girls?
14:32In ways, yes.
14:34I think you are the type of drag creature that no one has seen before.
14:37Your artistry is so beyond.
14:39Do you feel that I was hard on you this season?
14:43No, actually.
14:44I really, really enjoyed all your critiques that you guys had to say, because otherwise no one was going to tell me.
14:51I always need growing to do.

16:18To hear most of them believe I don't fit in here at home because I don't fit in back home to the girls there, too.

16:28So you can't let what they think affect you.

31:11All the feathers were in the train of the dress.
31:13It was so immaculate and so opulent and, like, so put together.
31:16It was like layers of stories.

31:24You made a lot of friends while you were here, didn't you?

31:28You know, these girls at first were uneasy about me, but I can call them all my family now.

32:04And for you, it wasn't so much about growing in your talents as it was growing personally, I think.
32:10You know, you came in and you were very defensive and you were snappy and you were reading.
32:14And then, you know, you did soften up a little bit and you made friends
32:17and you were actually really encouraging to a lot of the other girls, which was nice, you know?
32:21It was warming to watch you sort of get to know people
32:24and accept people and a little closer during the competition.

32:28I feel like this competition showed me that a monster can also have a heart in a way.
32:32Even though it's small and black and shriveled and barely used.

32:37I think you're an asset to any team and we are really happy to have you in the Dragula family.
32:41The whole reason we do this competition is to celebrate alternative forms of drag.
32:44And it's also about artistry, you know?
32:46I think we said this when we first got together.

32:49We wanted to create a platform that celebrates the artistry of drag
32:52and just looking across the stage and seeing everything that you guys have done,
32:56not only tonight but through this whole season, it is just so exhilarating.

33:01I mean, I think it's going to be changing minds
33:04about what people think about drag and drag queens and even gay and queer culture.
33:08I'm proud to have you be a part of Dragula.

33:50After what I saw tonight, I know that we made the right choice
33:53when it came to our final three monsters.

33:56We were looking for powerful beings to join our queer army
33:59and go forth and spread our message.
34:01And I think we recruited three lieutenants tonight in the army.

34:06Goes to show me that all of this rigorous torture
34:09that we put them through actually pays off.
34:11They've all stepped forward in their own ways
34:13and I'm very proud of all of them.
34:15For me, I enjoyed all of the performances
34:17but Victoria's filth look was the high point of my night.
34:21I mean, it borderline on horror,
34:23so that cadaver and the intoxication with that,
34:26whatever she was breathing in, those chemicals,
34:28the whole thing was indulgent and taboo.
34:30It was filthy and disgusting and I was out of my chair.
34:34I loved it.

34:38I enjoyed it. I was maybe even slightly underwhelmed.
