00:04That's right, just like Google Pay or Paytm, WhatsApp has joined the trend and has made
00:09transactions easier for you.
00:11In this video, I'll be showing you how you can use WhatsApp payment feature step by step,
00:16which means you can start sending and receiving payments to your contacts directly from WhatsApp
00:21in no time.
00:22Also, if someone is not in your contacts, no worries, I'll show you how you can send
00:26payments to them as well.
00:27It's easy.
00:29Now, whether you're an iOS or an Android user, setting up WhatsApp payments is almost the
00:33same process.
00:34So just make sure you're on the latest version of the app and let's get started.
00:38I'm Brandon from Website Learners and let's see how you can send and receive payments
00:42on WhatsApp.
00:43First, we need to set up the payment method on WhatsApp.
00:46So to do that, let's open WhatsApp on your phone and click here.
00:53On iOS, you can click settings, then click on payments and click on add payment method.
01:05Now click continue.
01:08And here we need to select the bank which we are using.
01:11So just select the bank and then it'll ask you to verify your phone number.
01:16Make sure you're using WhatsApp on the same number which you used for your bank account.
01:20Only then you'll be able to add your bank account on WhatsApp.
01:23So let's click verify, click allow, again click allow and finally click verify.
01:33Now you can see that our phone number has been verified and we've got a bank account.
01:38Now on iOS, when you verify your phone number, it'll ask you to send a message from your
01:42phone like this.
01:44So you can just click send and your phone number will be verified.
01:48Okay.
01:49Once you've verified your phone number and you've got your bank account, just click add
01:56and click done.
01:59As you can see, we have successfully set up the payment method on WhatsApp.
02:03You can repeat the same steps to add multiple bank accounts.
02:06So next, let's see how you can send payments to your contacts on WhatsApp.
02:09Now before sending a payment to someone, make sure they also have WhatsApp payments set
02:14up on their phone.
02:15Only then we will be able to make the payment.
02:18So to send a payment, let's go back to our chats and search for the person to whom you
02:23want to send the payment.
02:26Now open the chat and here you can see that we have the payment icon.
02:31So let's click on it and here you need to enter the amount you want to send.
02:37If you want, you can also add a note here.
02:40Now click next, then click send payment and click continue.
02:47Now you can use the same UPI pin, which you already have from other apps like Google pay
02:53or phone pay.
02:54If you don't have a UPI pin, you need to create one and enter it here.
02:58I'm going to enter my pin and click here.
03:04Now as you can see, we have successfully sent the payment to that person and they will receive
03:08it directly to their bank account.
03:10Now here you can see that we have got a message from our bank saying the amount has been debited
03:15from our account.
03:16So this is how you can send payments to your WhatsApp contacts and you can also receive
03:20payments from them.
03:21On iOS, you can make payments in the same way.
03:24Now you know how to send payments on WhatsApp from both iOS and Android.
03:29And the best part is you can also send payments to anyone just by scanning their WhatsApp
03:33QR code.
03:34To do that, click here and click payments.
03:42Now here, click on scan payment QR code.
03:46Now the receiver should do the same steps and here they need to click on my code.
03:52Now with your phone, just scan the QR code.
03:57And here you can see the name of the person to whom you're going to send the payment.
04:01Now enter the amount you want to send, click next and click send payment.
04:10Now enter your UPI pin and click here.
04:15As you can see, we have successfully sent the payment by scanning their WhatsApp QR
04:19code.
