00:25of citizens during the simulation held on Sunday in the framework of the presidential
00:30elections of July 28th.

00:56Cuba, and we begin with the news.
01:11The U.S. National Hurricane Center reported Monday that Hurricane Beryl has upgraded to
01:16Category 4 after a brief debilitation, posing as a dangerous threat to the Lesser Antilles
01:21in the Caribbean, with strong winds, heavy rains and storm surge.
01:25The agency indicated that the cyclone's maximum sustained winds are near 250 km per hour,
01:32with stronger gusts.
01:33In the next few hours, the phenomenon is expected to remain a dangerous major hurricane as its
01:38core moves through the Windward Islands to the eastern Caribbean.
01:42Potentially catastrophic wind damage is expected on Monday in impacted areas, with the greatest
01:47risk from the core being forecasted for San Vincente and the Granadines and Granada.

02:18The phenomenon is delivering violent winds, intense rainfall and life-threatening storm
02:22surge over the affected areas.
02:29In St. Lucia, Hurricane Beryl approaches the eastern Caribbean island.
02:33The Prime Minister, Philippe J. Pierre, alerted citizens of potential dangers and precautions
02:38measures to be taken to lessen the phenomenon's impact on the territory.
02:44Hurricane Beryl is being described by forecasters as extremely dangerous and could cause potentially
02:52catastrophic damage from high winds with life-threatening storm surges as high as 16 feet above normal
03:01tide levels.
03:04Residents in low-lying areas and along the coast should take extra precautions.
03:10Fishermen should secure their vessels and livestock owners should make the necessary
03:15arrangements to safeguard the animals.
03:19Salvadoran authorities reported this weekend that they evacuated 45 people in San Alejo,
03:25La UniĂłn, and another undetermined number of inhabitants of El TrĂĄnsito, San Miguel,

03:53of the national civil protection system remain deployed throughout the country, providing
03:58assistance in any type of emergency caused by the storms.
04:06Also in Honduras, heavy rains have caused floods and landslides across the nation as
04:10the country stays in vigilance of Hurricane Beryl's trajectory.
04:14According to rescue teams, due to rainfall on Saturday, landslides and drought falls
04:18were reported, which damaged more than 20 houses.

04:30In this context, authorities extended until Sunday afternoon the state of red alert due

04:41and alternate routes while they work to re-establish security and normality in the affected areas.
04:51Meanwhile in Europe, heavy rains have hit towns in Switzerland and France, leaving at
04:56least five dead and one person missing.
04:59Authorities reported that the loss of lives was due to landslides and downed trees caused
05:04by the gust during the storm.
05:06In this regard, civil defense teams recommended evacuating residents of the Swiss towns of
05:11Prado, Zornico and Valle Alemania, where rescue teams are still looking for a missing person.
05:21Meanwhile in China, heavy rains fall affected over 811,000 residents and forced almost 200,000

06:23Welcome back.
06:24In Bolivia, President Luis Arce rejects self-copy narrative promoted by the fascist right-wing.
06:29The president stressed on Sunday that what happened in the country on June 26th was a
06:34failed coup d'etat and asked former President Evo Morales not to replicate the narrative
06:39of fascism, which not only denies it but insists that it was a self-copy planned by the government.
06:45On Sunday morning, during statements to a local radio station, Evo Morales, who had
06:50vehemently condemned the failed coup d'etat, admitted that he is confused about the coup.
06:55Despite this, he blamed Arce for committing a self-copy.
06:59After his criteria, the Minister of the Presidency, Marianela Prada, made statements to the media
07:05and said that Evo Morales ended up joining the story of General ZĂșñiga and the fascist
07:11right-wing in denying the Gorillazo.
07:19The President of Argentina, Javier Milet, defended this Sunday the bill to lower the
07:23age of criminal responsibility to 13 years old, a bill that the government sent to Congress
07:28last Friday.
07:29The bill sets the minimum age for criminal prosecution at 13 and establishes sentences
07:35of up to 20 years of imprisonment for children and adolescents who would be incarcerated
07:40in special establishments or separate sections within the penitentiary complexes.
07:46Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice explained in a statement that the initiative seeks to
07:50combat the persistent growth of juvenile criminality, pointing out that organized crime takes advantage
07:56of children and adolescents to commit crimes without restrictions, eviding in that way
08:01criminal responsibility.
08:08The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, IvĂĄn Gil, rejected the statement issued on June 30 by
08:13Argentinian President Javier Milet, where he ignored the attempted coup d'etat in Bolivia,
08:18for it fed a narrative created by the Latin American right-wing, which tries to deny the
08:23actions of the criminals who try to overthrow the legitimate President Luisarce.
08:28In a communiqué posted on the social network ExxonMobil, Gil stated that this dark neo-Nazi
08:34character is used as a pawn of macabre interests that try to impose fascism as a political
08:40trend in our region through the ridiculous spokesmanship inflated by lies spread through
08:45social networks and the complicit media.
08:48The Foreign Minister added that Venezuela reiterates the call to condemn this and any
08:52other coup d'etat attempt in Latin America, as was done unanimously by the South American
08:58countries, including, by the way, Argentina itself, a fact that unfortunately is unknown
09:03by those who claim to govern this country.
09:21The National Electoral Council of Venezuela described as overwhelming the participation
09:25of citizens during the simulation held on Sunday, ahead of the presidential elections
09:29of July 28.
09:31The president of the governing body, Elvis Amoroso, highlighted the work of the CNE in
09:36the 335 municipalities of the national territory, where he also congratulated the people of
09:42Venezuela for the assistance in the electoral exercises.
09:46Amoroso also pointed out that the electoral participation extended until 9 o'clock at
09:51night in some of the institutions authorized to vote.
09:55After the simulation, the CNE detailed the speed of the electoral process, which is estimated
10:00to be around 38 seconds per voter.
10:07The president of the National Electoral Council of Venezuela, Elvis Amoroso, congratulated
10:12all the people for their great participation in the electoral drill.
10:18We are absolutely sure this electoral party that has begun today will end up successfully
10:23on July 28 and you, by exercising your absolute will, will be able to say, I have fulfilled
10:29my country, and we have the president of the republic here in Venezuela.
10:35Congratulations to all the people of Venezuela, and well, once again I'm proud of you, feel
10:40that the National Electoral Council will always be present and consistent and there's no doubt
10:45that there will be elections here on July 28 with the great participation of you, which
10:50was proven today.
10:52Likewise, the president of the National Electoral Council assured that the entire technical
10:58and logistical development of the electoral drill has been conducted without any type
11:03of irregularities.
11:06We've seen everything here, which has to do with the technical logistical issues.
11:11Everything has been perfect, thanks of course to the brave people of Venezuela and to the
11:15technicians of the National Electoral Council, who have done everything possible so that
11:20in all the municipalities of Venezuela there is an electoral machine, so that you can exercise
11:25your will, your sovereignty.
11:29On Sunday, Uruguay defined the presidential candidacies that will compete at the polls
11:34on October 27.
11:36In this way, the former major of Canelones, YamandĂș Orsi, won from the opposition coalition
11:41the Broad Front and quickly announced that his main rival, the head of the municipal
11:45government of Montevideo, Carolina Cosa, will be his running mate.
11:49For the currently ruling National Party, known as the Whites, Ălvaro Delgado, the favourite
11:55of the outgoing president, La Calle, won very comfortably, while among his allies
12:00in the Colorado Party, Andrés Ojeda, declared himself the winner.
12:03In total, around 36% of eligible voters participated in the process.
12:14In France, the far-right National Rally Party won a victory in the first round of the legislative
12:19elections with 33.15% of the votes.
12:22For its part, the left-wing coalition of the New Popular Front obtained 27.99%, establishing
12:29itself as the second-largest political force, surpassing President Emmanuel Macron's party,
12:35which collected 20.04% of the votes.
12:38During this first round, 37 deputies of the National Rally, 32 of the New Popular Front,
12:442 of the Macronist Bloc and 3 of the Republicans and their allies were elected.
12:50In the second round to be held next Sunday, Marine Le Pen's National Rally and its associates
12:55will contest 485 constituencies out of 577.
13:10In France, leaders of the left-wing coalition New Popular Front called for unity in the
13:14face of the second round of the legislative elections this coming weekend, in order to
13:18avoid the advance of the far-right.
13:21In this sense, the leader of the France Insoumise party, Jean-Luc MĂ©lenchon, was clear about
13:26the slogan of his coalition, declaring that intentions to have not a single seat more
13:31than to the extreme right.
13:33MĂ©lenchon also indicated that the left will withdraw its candidates if he advances from
13:38third place to the second round, in order to stop the right.
13:42That is the reason the four New Popular Front brings together left-wing and progressive
13:47forces such as the Socialist Party, France Insoumise, Communist Party and the Ecologist.
13:57Tonight is also a great political event.
14:00Government is over.
14:03If we want it together, if we make it possible, this week, friends and comrades, in a few
14:08days we will be able to have and power a government of the New Popular Front.
14:14A large crowd gathered on Sunday at Paris Place de la RĂ©publique set off fireworks
14:19and chanted as part of a protest against the far-right National Rally Party, which gained
14:24a strong lead in the projections for the first round of legislative elections.
14:28French President Emmanuel Macron called the election by surprise just three weeks ago
14:33and has now urged voters to unite against the far-right.
14:36Projections indicate that the National Rally has a strong chance of winning a majority
14:40in the Lower House of Parliament for the first time, which has nearly doubled the 18%
14:45it won in the first round in 2022.
14:48With another intense week of campaigning ahead before the decisive final vote next Sunday,
14:53the final outcome of the election remains uncertain.

17:25several occasions of the danger of amine in the Gaza Strip due to the genocide of the

18:11international community to take immediate and effective measures to mitigate this crisis.
18:17We have a serious water shortage.
18:19I have nine members in my family.
18:20I need at least 250 liters to wash dishes and other things we cannot.
18:25There is a huge shortage in this area and there are thousands of displaced people who
18:30came from other areas.
18:32So the area needs support for digging more than one water well.
18:35There is a massacre for water.
18:38From five in the morning until nightfall, we run until we fill a bottle like this, one
18:42liter, one liter of water, from which 16 people in my house drink.
18:46This is a great suffering and a tragedy.
