00:00Good afternoon to you all, to Magistrate, to President of the Supreme Court of Justice
00:15Caricilla RodrĂguez, and Elvis Amoroso, President of the Electoral Council of Venezuela, and
00:25Citizen Alfredo Ruiz, from Ombudsman Office, and Daniel RodrĂguez, National Prosecutor,
00:36Vice President, Ministers, the Senior Militaries, and the Ministry of the Power, well I want
00:53to greet to you all, to all diplomats accredited in Venezuela, not only of the countries of
01:01the great homeland, but also of the international community represented in our country.
01:07I want to greet athletes Julio Mayor, to athletes who have participated in the Florida Reds,
01:18to our father, Libertador SimĂłn BolĂvar, welcome to you all.
01:25Today we commemorate 194 years of the mortality of our founding father, Liberator.
01:36We can say that it is a day of sadness, but I prefer to understand it, that it is always
01:46a great joy to speak about SimĂłn BolĂvar, that it makes us very proud, because it is
01:52one of the most universal heroes that have been born from Venezuela.
02:00It is undisputable the honor when we cross over our borders, and we know what it meant
02:15the crossing of borders of our Liberator, SimĂłn BolĂvar, to reach freedom.
02:27So we feel very proud, and let's think about that child, SimĂłn, who was forging himself
02:38in the harshest difficulties of his life, and how this child, SimĂłn, arrived to swear
02:54in for the freedom of our country, of how that child, SimĂłn, has been turning into
03:05a great man, full of universal ideals, with a message that nurtures our model with justice,
03:15equity, social justice, with a message of what BolĂvar means for the future in the
03:28political terms, in the sovereignty of our countries.
03:34So SimĂłn BolĂvar was anti-imperialist, anti-expansionist, in the social sector, his legacy in the model
03:47that nurtures the constitution of Venezuela, a model that provides joy through justice
03:55and equity, of a legacy that means the military doctrine for our soldiers, men and women,
04:07what it means an army free, patriotic, anti-imperialist, and sovereign, what it means an armed forces
04:17built and inspired in the dream of BolĂvar and in the legacy of BolĂvar, men and women
04:25with greatness, with virtues and with high morals, that they know what it means the military doctrine,
04:35because even when we are less in quantity, we are just giant in front of the task that
04:42the homeland demands us, that model that also nurtures the universal principles of human
04:54rights in which BolĂvar was based, equity, that he trusted deeply the human being.
05:04I said that that young who was changing Angostura, who is in the campaign of New Granada, facing
05:22the severe weather conditions, and we pictured through all those hardships, going through,
05:33crossing over regions to reach freedom of neighboring countries, of sister nations,
05:45and how BolĂvar turns into Carabobo, in Carabobo gave the independence of our homeland,
05:59and then he was victorious, and within Caracas, he was waging the southern campaign to become
06:09the Vichicha and in Ayacucho. So, forging the independence of our countries in front of the Spanish Empire.
06:21BolĂvar never stops amazed us in his military and personal life, because he has a great
06:36impetus, joy, optimism. He was never defeated in front of hardships, that's why he's known as
06:46the man of hardships, and that has taught us to be the people of difficulties, to not surrender
06:56ever, to not show us weakened ahead of those who intend to subdue us. So, our enemies, our adversaries
07:09must study BolĂvar to understand us. They must see in BolĂvar who we are, and BolĂvar perceived
07:21freedom with a strategic target, not only independence and freedom themselves as precepts
07:33of sovereignty, but BolĂvar saw it thinking about the powerful unity of Latin America, and he said
07:46that the union of Latin America would be the political balance of the world. Maybe this would
07:54explain two centuries later, when he was right when he claimed the unity of Latin America as
08:11a mechanism, not only of power and strength, not only of internal profits of our relations and
08:21benefits for our peoples, but the universal message that he would send to the world. He spoke about the
08:29political balance, he always thought about the humanity, that's why he arrived to the remote
08:39areas of Peru to reach the independence of Peru, and he said he waged that battle on the ground,
08:49and he always thought about the Latin American unity. So, those who are sons and daughters of
09:04that sword of freedom, and who have become traitors, and who have been submitted, they know
09:15they are betraying BolĂvar. They know that they are betraying our strategic target, as it is the
09:24union of our peoples. They know that they are at the service of the hegemonic powers, and they know
09:32that they are at the service of Washington. So, you know all that today the Canadian government
09:40sanctioned high senior authorities of the Venezuelan state to the president of the
09:53Supreme Court of Justice and representatives of the electoral council. It is a government
10:01that is submitted, that is subdued to those who humiliate them. So, today we said, so take care
10:13of your own business, because you make ridiculous in front of your oppressors, because the Venezuelan
10:22people is going to mind their independence and freedom. So, today we say that we are here
10:34together with BolĂvar, not to pay homage, but we are BolĂvar. We are the people of the liberators
10:47of the America. That title cannot be small. That title must be the inspiration to our defense of
10:59national, of the nation, and of our dignity. They say that after the death of BolĂvar,
11:10those empires at that time, they thought it was the time, as they think that today is the moment
11:22of submitting, subduing Venezuela, as if these years of economic blockade weren't enough
11:32hardships. And after the death of the liberator, the British empire
11:40searched the plundering of our Esequibo. That's why the Esequibo's defense cannot be postponed.
11:51We are living history. We are dedicated to defend the legacy of BolĂvar.
12:03Father liberator, in front of you today, our anguishes, your anguishes are the motor,
12:11are the engine to defend Venezuela, to defend unity, Latin American unity.
12:20That today, your anguishes be your dreams fulfilled. And so, when someone wondered
12:33who we are, we asked, we replied, we are the daughters and sons of BolĂvar. So, we must
12:43carry out the project of BolĂvar. And so, we have seen the light, and they intend us to return to
12:55the darkness. And so, dear General Pompeo, we must continue to the path of light,
13:07and we must close the doors to darkness. And so, let's say it is strongly, long live BolĂvar,
13:17long live everlasting BolĂvar, his legacy and doctrines, long live BolĂvar, who gave us
13:26life history, and who make us proud of being Venezuelans. Thank you very much.
