00:00Mr. Garcia, Mr. Garcia, Mr. Garcia, do you have confidence, do you have confidence as
00:07Biden as your party's nominee?
00:08Absolutely.
00:09He's been a great, done a great job as president.
00:12He has delivered for the American people over and over again.
00:15And the election is going to be a binary choice.
00:16It's going to be between the president and a convicted felon who attacked the Capitol.
00:21And so I think, I think voters will have a choice.
00:23Do you think the voters recognize that after that stumbling performance last night?
00:27Look, I get that President Biden had a sore throat.
00:32Apparently was not feeling well.
00:33At the end of the day, we've seen the president in action for years.
00:38We know what he's like.
00:39And I think 20 minutes of the debate, half an hour of the debate, where he did obviously
00:43have some sort of throat challenge or perhaps was sick.
00:47I don't think it's going to matter at the end of the day.
00:48You don't think he'd be better off with a better candidate?
00:51Absolutely not.
00:52One person, there's one person in this country that has defeated Donald Trump and his name
00:57is Joe Biden.
00:58So the one person that can beat Donald Trump again is a person that already beat him.
01:02And let's be really clear about the president's record.
01:05The president has lowered the cost of healthcare.
01:07He is protecting abortion rights and fighting for abortion rights across this country.
01:12He's making sure that we're expanding infrastructure.
01:13And so he actually has a record to run on.
01:16And the truth is voters are going to have a choice.
01:18Then you have Donald Trump, who, by the way, couldn't say one factual thing in the entire
01:23debate.
01:24The entire debate, all he did was lie after lie after lie after lie.
01:29But Congressman, if the president can't articulate that record, isn't that a problem for you
01:34and the Congress?
01:35Look, let's be really clear.
01:36I think what we had last night was an issue of maybe style and substance, but on the substance,
01:41the president articulated his message very clearly.
01:43He talked about issues around infrastructure, around ensuring that the insulin cost of work
01:48he's done there.
01:49He talked about defending Roe and defending natural access to abortion.
01:53And he took on Donald Trump for the attack on the Capitol.
01:55So he was very clear, maybe with a little bit of a sore throat, but he was very clear
02:00about his message last night.
02:01And I was proud of Joe Biden.
02:02Joe Biden has always been there for us.
02:04This party was going to stay united behind the president.
02:07He's going to be our nominee.
02:08We're going to defeat Donald Trump.
02:09So you want him to stand as the nominee?
02:10100%.
02:11There's nobody I would rather have as their nominee than Joe Biden.
