00:00« Henry's cat looked at his clock. It had stopped. Again. He sighed. It had never been the same since he'd dropped it in the soup. He peered out of the window to see the village clock and saw something else as well. It was the village fair. »
00:29Complete with swings, roundabouts, and everything.
00:33He immediately rushed over to ride the horses,
00:37have a go on the dodgems,
00:40visit the hall of mirrors,
00:43the ghost train,
00:46the test your strength machine,
00:50and the coconut shine.
00:53Well, he had to leave in a bit of a hurry, didn't he?
00:56And as he didn't win anything, he consoled himself with candy floss,
01:00ice cream, toffee apples, beef burgers,
01:03hot dogs, and nut toffee.
01:05Wow, I've tried everything, he thought,
01:08so I'll go home now.
01:10But just as he was about to leave the fair,
01:12he noticed something he hadn't tried.
01:15It was a fortune teller.
01:17Henry's cat wasn't sure just what that was,
01:19and he thought he'd take a peep inside.
01:22And as he did so, he got quite a surprise.
01:24There sat an old lady gazing into a crystal ball.
01:28Come in, sir.
01:30Henry's cat had never been called sir before,
01:33and entered before he got over his surprise.
01:36Cross my palm with silver, said the old lady,
01:40and I will tell your fortune true.
01:45He he he he he.
01:47The old lady gazed deep into the crystal ball and said,
01:50I see water. You will travel over water.
01:55I see a lady bearing gifts.
01:59I see a dog in blue.
02:03He has a message for you.
02:07And with that, she ushered Henry's cat out of the tent.
02:10Henry's cat was a bit confused and not sure what to make of it all.
02:13He thought he'd have another ice cream to help him concentrate.
02:16But as he walked over the park bridge,
02:18it suddenly occurred to him that he was travelling over water,
02:21just as the fortune teller had foretold.
02:24Now I've got to find a lady bearing gifts, he thought,
02:28and went back to the fair in case she was looking for him.
02:31He soon saw her.
02:33She was coming out of a coconut shire stall,
02:35and she was bearing lots and lots of gifts.
02:37Oh, I mustn't lose her, thought Henry's cat,
02:40and ran towards her, shouting,
02:42Hey!
02:43Well, what do you think happened?
02:45The lady fell over with all her gifts.
02:48The coconut man saw what had happened and said to Henry's cat,
02:51Here, that isn't a lady.
02:53It's a man, stealing all my prizes.
02:56You've saved a lot.
02:58I'll see you get rewarded for this.
03:00And the very next day,
03:02Constable Baldog came out of Henry's cat's house and said,
03:05You have been committed for bravery beyond the bounds of duty.
03:09Hereby, I give you a present from the coconut man.
03:13Wow, that was a dog in blue.
03:16All the things the fortune teller said have come true.
03:20I suppose that's my future over for the time being.
03:23And then he thought,
03:24Well, I may not have a future,
03:27but I do have a present.
03:30And he opened the box.
03:32And what do you think it was?
03:34A cuckoo clock.
03:35Just what Henry's cat wanted, since his other clock was broken.
03:38Oh, there's no present like the time they say,
03:41said Henry's cat.
03:42I noticed the time was coming up to twelve o'clock.
03:45And there's no past like a repast.
03:48And he went off to have a big meal.
