00:15Henry's cat had just seen a good film about a detective who solved a big crime.
00:20As he thought about it, he wondered if he could be a detective.
00:24And he imagined himself catching dangerous criminals.

00:39And being given a medal on television.
00:42The more he thought about it, the more he thought it was just his sort of thing.
00:47So he went into the attic and looked for some detective sort of things.
00:51And found an old Father Christmas beard, some sunglasses and his grandfather's hat and coat.
00:57Which, though a little too big, did make a very good disguise.
01:01He also found a telescope and a water pistol.
01:05Ah, that's all I need, he thought.
01:08Except one thing.
01:10Henry didn't have a crime to solve.
01:12He tried to remember how the film detective did it.
01:15Oh, he looked for suspicious characters.
01:18So he crept out of the house, keeping in the shadows, so that he wouldn't be seen.
01:23A good lookout place was needed and the very place was found.
01:27After a few hours, he spied exactly what he was looking for.
01:31It was a strange mouse with a suitcase getting into Mosey Mouse's house through a window.
01:36This was very suspicious.
01:38Henry's cat crawled towards the house with a twig in front of him, like the Red Indians do.
01:48And peeped into the window.
01:50Well, what do you think he saw?
01:53Not very much, with his dark glasses and big hat on.
01:56But, it looked very much as if the strange mouse was stealing everything in Mosey Mouse's house.
02:02And putting it in the suitcase.
02:05While the strange mouse was out of the room, Henry's cat softly climbed in and hid behind a sofa.
02:12Oh, I'll catch him red handed when he comes back.
02:17Thought Henry's cat as he got his water pistol ready.
02:21When the strange mouse came back, Henry's cat jumped up and said,
02:24Hands up or I'll wet your whiskers.
02:27This water pistol is loaded.
02:30But just at that moment, two more strangers came in.
02:33Oh, accomplices, eh?
02:35Thought Henry's cat.
02:36I'm outnumbered. I'll make a quick getaway.
02:39So he grabbed the suitcase, ran upstairs and jumped out of the window.
02:43Right into a water barrel.
02:46Well, when he looked out, he saw Mosey Mouse, the strange mouse and Officer Bulldog all armed with big sticks.
02:55They arrest you for breaking, entering and stealing from Mosey Mouse's house.
03:01Said Officer Bulldog very fiercely.
03:03Then looking closer, he saw who it was.
03:06Well, bless me, it's Henry's cat. What's all this here, here?
03:11Oh, I was only trying to catch a burglar who was stealing Mosey's things.
03:17Said Henry's cat.
03:18That's no burglar. That's my uncle, come to take me on holiday.
03:23I lost my key, so I left a note for him to get in while I got Officer Bulldog to help me open the door.
03:30Said Mosey Mouse.
03:31Ah, I was trying to catch a bad criminal.
03:35Said Henry's cat, shivering with cold.
03:38Catch a bad criminal? The only thing you'll catch is a bad cold, my lad.
03:43Said Officer Bulldog.
03:44Well, you've got to start somewhere, haven't you?
03:49Said Henry's cat as he dripped his way wearily home.
