00:33Greg, I made my first voyage out to Gillette Stadium this camp season, checked out the
00:39final day of mandatory mini camp.
00:41I thank you publicly, as I thank you privately for getting me out there.
00:47Although there was a little bit of an issue at the gate, I got through everything.
00:51Everything was okay.
00:53So let's just start here because we just got home, frankly, from this mini camp practice.
01:01And the first thing that jumped out at me was Gerard Mayo talking to the media before
01:07practice began.
01:08He was asked about Devon Godchow.
01:11And I'm not going to sit here and give you word for word.
01:13But the gist was, yeah, he's not out there because of contractual reasons.
01:19And he's not the only guy.
01:21He's looking to get a deal done.
01:23And Mayo said, I've learned already that I don't get involved with player contracts
01:28and I'm learning on the job.
01:30But he all but confirmed that Godchow is indeed holding in.
01:35He's been at mini camp, but he has not been out there on the field.
01:39Do you think the Patriots get something done with Godchow before we get to training camp?
01:43Well, that's a good question.
01:47But I will say, and how do I term this?
01:54The Patriots, they're going to have, I don't know what, so it's Godchow and Judon.
02:00Like I know Judon has said the right things.
02:03We talked about it on the last podcast.
02:04He went on Rich's show and basically said, like, he wasn't going to do what he did last
02:12year.
02:13I have reason to believe that will not be true.
02:17But I will say that there are rumblings that there are a couple of big contract issues
02:22with the Patriots and they stem from Christian Barmore's deal, which, you know, Godchow lines
02:31up next to Barmore.
02:32He's been in the league a lot longer.
02:34Judon, of course, we know what he's done, but he hasn't been healthy.
02:39Barmore, you know, last year he was pretty healthy, but he hasn't exactly been the picture
02:44of health.
02:45But I think that some of these contract issues could be bubbling up.
02:50I would expect them to bubble up during the summer, you know, during training camp unless
02:55the Patriots do do something.
02:57And that's the question.
02:58Do they do anything?
03:00I really don't know.
03:04You know, I would probably think that they're going to do a little bit of something for
03:10both guys.
03:11But you know, this is what you get.
03:15I mean, look, I think we're both fans of what the Patriots have done in terms of taking
03:18care of their own and how that's a change from what we've seen.
03:22But we also know, like, I've also been a proponent of the way Belichick handled these things
03:29and he always had these things in mind that if I do X or X, Y and Z with contracts, what's
03:34going to be the ramifications in the room?
03:37And fans can put their head in the sand and think that these aren't real.
03:40But they are real.
03:41And I do.
03:42I think Belichick went to the extreme often and didn't need to do what he did.
03:46And certainly with certain people and positions like slot receiver with like Wes Walker and
03:50Julian Edelman and people like that.
03:53But I do think that that Bill's Bill had a method to his madness and the new regime of
04:00the Patriots, Elliott Wolfe and Gerard Mayo, namely, they're they're going to deal with
04:06some of the the fallout from the decisions that they've made.
04:11Yeah, and Mayo did mention that other guys are looking at contractual things that they
04:17want to get done, too.
04:18So Mayo told us that that that got Chow is not the only one.
04:22Jonathan Jones was out there today.
04:25That's interesting to see him out there.
04:27But yeah, we're going to keep an eye on a lot of these things.
04:30And this goes back to Greg talking about this years ago, that when you sign somebody guys
04:35in the locker room, they know how much money everybody makes and they take notes.
04:41And as soon as Barmore got that deal done, Matthew Judon, who has been a steady presence,
04:47an impact player when he's been on the field, looked at it and said, oh, OK, so this is
04:52the final year of my deal.
04:54I'm on the books for I think it's what, like six and a half million or whatever he's getting.
04:58And he wants to be adjusted.
05:00So we'll see how they put this together.
05:02One other thing that Mayo said before we get to the actual practice, he was asked about
05:07the offensive line.
05:10And I will add this note before I get into what Mayo said.
05:14Caden Wallace, Greg did get a couple of snaps at some point during this practice today at
05:19left tackle.
05:20So Wallace did get on the left side for at least a couple of snaps today.
05:25Mayo said, hey, look, we're going to play our best five.
05:29Should we read into that and think that Michael Winnow will end up being the right guard for
05:33this football team?
05:35Yes, I.
05:40You know, look, it's it's minicamp.
05:42I mean, there's so many caveats that we throw out this time of year, but we have to.
05:45It's minicamp.
05:46There aren't pads.
05:49But from what I saw today, especially during team when like it was Caden Wallace at right
05:55tackle and Michael winning a right guard.
05:57And this is just two days after we saw like a sprinkling of that alignment.
06:03This was like, no, let's take a longer look at this.
06:06And I got to say, probably probably my biggest takeaway from this offseason with the Patriots
06:14is that I am now officially worried about the offensive line and what they're doing,
06:19where they're going, the fallout from that.
06:22Like, you know, I went from the offseason of, OK, well, you know, they have David Andrews
06:29city.
06:30So's a good player left tackle.
06:33We don't know about.
06:35But, you know, right guard, you should be able to figure out right guard.
06:38And they drafted Leighton Robinson and and, you know, but big Michael be their right tackle.
06:43And as long as you're good at right tackle, you could figure out the left side and you
06:47could find somebody to play guard like it's not a five alarm fire.
06:51But it to spend almost all of mandatory minicamp with Caden Wallace at right tackle with very
06:59few looks at left tackle to me signifies that he is going to be a right tackle.
07:05And you know, sort of what we talked about in the last part that, you know, he's a third
07:09round pick.
07:10They're going to want to play him.
07:12And, you know, the fallout from that, I'm worried about.
07:15I also think there's an offshoot of, you know, Michael Wenu, I to to my eyes, my layman's
07:22eyes.
07:23I don't think that he reported in great shape.
07:26I you know, when he talked about in the offseason that he was going to train for right tackle,
07:32I figured we'd see a slimmed down version of big Mike slightly.
07:36I'm not I'm not expecting him to lose 50 pounds and he's never been a small guy.
07:41But I'm officially worried about I was already worried about left tackle, but I figured the
07:46right side would be OK.
07:49But now I'm worried about the right side to both of both spots.
07:53So I'm I'm now officially worried about the Patriots offensive line and and how that shakes
07:59out, especially early in training camp is going to affect what I think they can do this
08:03season.
08:04It was my first time out there today, and I will report officially it didn't look good
08:10for the most part.
08:11It did not look good, folks.
08:13And look again, we've said this before.
08:16It's June.
08:17We'll see what they look like in training camp when you get the pads on and Greg's saying
08:20all that.
08:21And we understand that.
08:24But what we saw today outside of the red zone, because I thought of the red zone, they played
08:30better and I thought in the red zone, the quarterbacks, especially Drake May, was better.
08:34But outside of red zone plays and reps, this O-line was getting dusted consistently, consistently
08:42left side, right side through the middle.
08:46And that was really, Greg, my biggest takeaway was, you know, in between the 20s.
08:54This O-line got worked and they have some work to do up front.
08:59So we'll see if they can put that together.
09:03Let's move on to something else.
09:05Want to talk about a defensive player that to me stood out today, Greg, and I know you've
09:10mentioned him in passing and some others have talked about him.
09:14But man, Keon White, and we can talk about the offensive line helping Keon White look
09:19better, which is at least part of the case.
09:23But Keon White stood out to me a number of times today, and if he's going to continue
09:30this progression and if he's better at training camp and these joint practices than he was
09:35what I saw today, they might have themselves a player, Greg, this year on that defensive
09:41line and white.
09:42Yeah, he's almost immediately from the get go and OTAs seeing him out there, him standing
09:48up the two point stance.
09:52It's extremely exciting and his his development and again, it's not pads, but you know, you
09:58could see the impact and just his physicality and I just love the idea of him standing up
10:04when he was drafted.
10:06You know, I had a hard time wrapping my head around exactly where he was going to play
10:11because he was a he was a tweener and like, you know, it was basically like him and he
10:16was like Dietrich Wise's sort of understudy and then he gained more and more playing time
10:21last year.
10:23But I think I think his athletic ability is a strength and standing him up and using him
10:30like that can make him really impactful and and, you know, I'm really excited to see what
10:36he can do.
10:37And I also think, you know, the offshoot of that is, well, if Keon White's now an edge
10:42and they already have Anthony Jennings and Josh Uche, and if Matthew Judon is going to
10:47have an issue with the contract, does that make Matthew Judon expendable?
10:51I think that's that's a very real possibility at this point.
10:56You got Uche last year of his deal.
10:58You've got Judon last year of his deal.
11:00You've got Wise last year of his deal.
11:03Keon White, if he can pop, if he can take that next step, then you're right.
11:08I mean, one of those guys could be gone, especially Judon.
11:12I think Judon will be here.
11:14I do.
11:15I think they'll take care of him eventually.
11:18I could easily be wrong on that, but I do expect him to be here.
11:22But how long term is the question?
11:25If you get white and you're sold on him on the outside with what Covington and Montgomery
11:29are doing with him, then that will help matters.
11:33And you're not so freaked out about the future of that defensive line, because as we know,
11:38they spent almost all of their picks on offense this year, which they should have done, which
11:43means they kick the can down the road defensively until twenty twenty five.
11:48And you have to imagine they will draft at least one defensive lineman next year.
11:52But if you have Keon White as a staple, that makes you feel better.
11:56As far as the rest of the defense, honestly, it was mostly just defensive line working
12:01the offensive line.
12:03I was excited to see Keon White.
12:05I will tell you, Caden Wallace was probably not excited to see Keon White judging by how
12:09things went for him.
12:11But but defensively, it's defensive line.
12:15It's pressure.
12:16Alex Austin did have a nice pass breakup.
12:19That's somebody to keep an eye on.
12:21Isaiah Bolden looked pretty decent.
12:23So I continue to look at those young outside corners.
12:26But let's look at the offense.
12:29Drake May.
12:31What do you think of him today?
12:33Well, I had an appointment this morning, so I didn't see the first half of practice.
12:38And I'll just like my my general impression for, you know, the last like three or four
12:44team period, two team periods, but a split up, you know, I thought that this practice
12:50in general and talking to some of the other guys who were there had sort of like a last
12:54day of school vibe.
12:55It was it was competitive, but fun and not overly like it was.
13:00It was sort of a glorified jog through to me, you know, from what I saw, I liked what
13:05I saw to me again.
13:06I think that he's been throughout, especially late in this in this in this set of offseason
13:14practices.
13:15He's been really good in the red zone.
13:17And you know, and even today in team, normally it's been seven on seven.
13:21But today in team, he had two touchdowns to Kayshawn Booty and another one to Jalen Polk
13:28to finish.
13:29It was a controversial touchdown in the right corner of the end zone against number forty
13:36seven, who was McKay, Victor, Mikey, Victor, Mikey, Victor.
13:41Yeah, who I've never heard of.
13:44He got victimized a lot by Drake May.
13:47And I will say, you know, driving back from practice on the way home, like I was thinking
13:52about May in the red zone and to me, and it was similar to what we talked about in the
13:57last pod in the last practice, like his timing is really good.
14:02And like he gets the ball out and in perfect timing.
14:05And I think I think that that confinement on that Drake knows in the red zone, like
14:13he only has a finite amount of time, like basically it has to be thrown on time.
14:17And I'm sure he's been been taught that that like, look, when we're in the red zone, like,
14:23you know, one, two, three, boom, it's got to be out like one way or the other.
14:26You got to make a read and trust it.
14:27And I think I think that's helping him stay more together, more focused, all the footwork
14:35and, you know, all the mechanics working in conjunction, where I think when you're dealing
14:40with a full field situation, I think he gets a little that's when he gets a little undisciplined
14:46and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
14:49There was a play early on in the practice where I don't know if it was panic.
14:53I don't know if he decided to kind of just throw the ball away down in the dirt.
14:59But there was one snap where things just looked funky and he looked unsure of himself for
15:04the most part, though, I just I thought it was a tough day for the quarterbacks, mostly
15:07because of that pressure, mostly because of the offensive line.
15:09There were a couple of bad snaps.
15:12Drake had a low snap early on in the eleven on elevens that kind of threw off his rhythm
15:17on one play.
15:18So I look at the offensive line as really the biggest issue as to why these these quarterbacks
15:23are not necessarily crushing practice.
15:26But I would agree with you.
15:28Red zone is where Drake may played his best today, and he made at least two or three really
15:33nice throws.
15:35The Jalen Polk throw to end the practice was a nice throw.
15:38I thought the second one to booty especially was a good throw.
15:41The first one was more of a contested catch by booty.
15:44But I thought May stepped up in the red zone and that was good to see.

16:44Go Celtics.
16:45Can't wait to watch you guys against Kyrie.
16:48This week on PrizePix, I'm looking at the hockey board selecting Gustav Forsling over
16:52one and a half shots on goal.
16:54Sam Bennett, hated in Boston, over four hits.
16:58Alexander Barkoff over 0.5 assists.
17:01That's easy.
17:02That's like taking money from a baby.
17:04And Chris Kreider over two and a half shots on goal.
17:07Download the app today and use code CLNS for a first match deposit up to $100.
17:12Pick more, pick less.
17:15It's that easy.
17:16Overall, Greg, quarterbacks, May and Brissette got about 98% of the snaps.
17:23We saw Bailey Zappi for maybe a couple snaps, 11 on 11s.
17:28Maybe he got one series, you know, one set of four downs or so.
17:32Joe Milton, MIA.
17:35He was on the field.
17:36He was there.
17:37He took part in warmups and drills.
17:39But this was a heavy, heavy Drake May Jacoby Brissette day, which again would lead me to
17:44believe that the third quarterback, it's been established.
17:49That's Bailey Zappi.
17:50This is Brissette versus May as we get the training camp.
17:53Yeah, I would say that's true.
17:56I think it's only, you know, after what we've seen, I think it's only a matter of time before
17:59the Patriots part ways with Bailey Zappi in any number of ways.
18:03It'll probably just to be a clean release.
18:04I don't think this is a guy who the Patriots cut and nobody picked up at the end of training
18:11camp last year.
18:13I do think the Patriots will be on the lookout for a veteran type, probably somebody who
18:22has been in this system before, been with Alex Van Pelt, that there's a comfort level,
18:27you know, whether it's Green Bay or Cleveland or, you know, that sort of thing to bring
18:32in at some point and probably be on the practice squad as sort of, you know, a guy who is around
18:39and could be needed down the line.
18:42But yeah, I think you're right.
18:43I think it's, and I don't think it's, you know, the snap thing like in the work, I just
18:52think that like, look, Drake's going to get his snaps because he needs to be developed.
18:57It's not about the season other than, you know, Brissette and him are going to split
19:01snaps pretty much.
19:04Brissette has to get ready to start the year.
19:06May has to get ready to, he just has to develop and he needs the reps and that's the only
19:11way that's going to happen, especially during this defense, once we get to training camp
19:15and the pads are on and things like that, it's going to really heat up for Drake May
19:19and then we'll really be able to see, you know, what he's made out of and how much progress
19:25he's making.
19:26But yeah, he definitely, he needs to get his snaps.
19:29Anybody that's going to take away from those isn't really needed and you just down the
19:33line, you go get some veteran guy that gets cut loose, that can be on the practice squad
19:39and sort of also serve as a mentor for me.
19:43First time I saw Jalen Polk in person today and a couple things stood out.
19:48Me and my buddy Jim Louth, 95, we were watching the drills and Jim pointed out to me that
19:56Polk has this kind of weird thing where his legs and hips are moving, but his, his top
20:01half is kind of in the same spot.
20:03So it's, it's misleading to like tacklers.
20:05They were doing that, you know, the, the whole kind of juke drill a little bit there and
20:10it's just, I think he has athleticism that, that you don't really see.
20:15He plays, he plays faster than you would think.
20:17That's the first thing.
20:19Second thing is that final catch.
20:22I know it's minicamp.
20:23Okay.
20:24I understand it, but that last catch to end minicamp and just to kind of paint the picture
20:28for people, it was the final down.
20:31Everybody knew it was the final down defense, offense, red zone area.
20:37How are you going to end minicamp?
20:39Jake may is in there and may throws pretty much a fade to the corner of the end zone
20:45and Polk dives for it and pretty much, you know, parallel to the ground somehow gets
20:51his mitts on it, Greg and catches the football.
20:54They first called it out of bounds, incomplete.
20:56The first ref had it incomplete.
20:59The other refs got with that ref.
21:00They had the old minicamp referee huddle and the, the offensive players really wanted to
21:06touch down and they called it a touchdown.
21:09Jalen Polk afterwards said, I knew I got both feet in.
21:11I, he said, there's no doubt I had both feet in.
21:13That was a catch.
21:14I knew it the entire time.
21:16So the offense explodes.
21:18The defense is left giving pushups because they gave up the touchdown to end minicamp.
21:23But I just thought Jalen Polk, I know you've talked a lot about him.
21:26My first time seeing him, you know, in person, I've seen him for Washington.
21:30I like him a lot.
21:32I might like him even more after today.
21:34I think, I think Patriots fans are going to be pretty happy with Jalen Polk.
21:38Yeah.
21:39And I will say on that, on that final touchdown, which, you know, was a beauty timing, like
21:46perfect arc from Drake May to him.
21:49My view of it was that I thought his, I thought his back landed first and partially out of
21:55bounds and then the, then the feet came down.
21:58But like you said, the, the officials huddled, they said, they said touchdown.
22:03Yeah, I love Jalen Polk.
22:05I mean, I do.
22:06And today was another example of like, every day I get excited to watch him and I see,
22:13you know, something different.
22:14He's just, he's just a baller.
22:15Like he just knows how to play.
22:19You know, I don't know if you, what you thought about my comparison to like he, to Jacobi
22:24Myers, that he's sort of like a thinner, more, more fluid sort of Jacobi Myers.
22:32But like, that's, that's the baseline.
22:34I just think he's better than Jacobi Myers.
22:36He's a little bit smaller, not quite as thick, but a lot more looser in the hips.
22:41I, and I think you're, you're spot on.
22:43I think he is, he is better on the field than his time, speed or anything like that.
22:50I think he's, I think he's going to be really, really good.
22:54He also caught a touchdown from Jacobi Brissette a little bit earlier in the practice in the
22:57red zone.
22:58So he finished with two touchdowns today.
23:00He had two touchdowns on Monday, strong mini camp for Jalen Polk, which is nice.
23:06Also a strong day.
23:07You mentioned him a little bit earlier.
23:09He might be somewhat of a forgotten guy on this team.
23:12I'm not ready to go bananas just yet, but Keyshawn booty.
23:16He caught two touchdowns today, both from Drake May.
23:20One of them was heavily contested and he just pretty much wrestled it away from the defensive
23:25back and got both feet down according to the ref in the end zone.
23:29He made another catch.
23:30It was a fade from May corner of the end zone.
23:33Great throw by May just layered it right over the top of the DB.
23:37But Keyshawn booty, what have you seen from him, Greg, so far?
23:40Yeah, I thought he had a, I thought he had a really good spring and I thought, you know,
23:45he was better than he was a year ago.
23:50There was a little bit of hype for him, which I didn't think really matched up and you know,
23:54he had to play early cause of injuries and then he sort of disappeared for, for a very
23:58long time.
23:59Of course that was under the former regime.
24:01So we don't exactly know what, what was going on and you know, but the question with him
24:06has always been ever since he's been drafted and now with the gambling thing sort of hanging
24:12over his head, the investigation and being implicated in that is him off the field and
24:18him as a professional.
24:19I know sort of at the midpoint last year, I got good reports on, you know, how he was
24:22conducting himself behind the scenes.
24:25I haven't heard much since, but with booty, you just wonder, you know, if he's going to
24:32be available, what's going to be the pecking order when is born coming back?
24:36I mean, because they have a lot of guys were for probably not a lot of spots, but if he,
24:41if he continues to show this even if he gets suspended or you know, whatnot you know, perhaps
24:49they, perhaps they keep a roster spot on him because I do think, I do think he's, he's
24:54shown well since he's gotten here, the Celtics are in the NBA finals.
24:59And I can tell you, Nick is very excited.
25:02Celtics will have home court.
25:03So possibly four games at TD garden.
25:05How awesome would it be to go to a game and experience that atmosphere and get the hate
25:08on Kyrie game time makes it getting NBA finals tickets even faster and easier prices on the
25:14game time app actually go down the closer it gets the tip off with killer last minute

25:22I have to see the view from my seat before I purchase any tickets.
25:25It's right there in the app and their lowest price guarantee game time takes the guesswork
25:30out of buying NBA tickets.
25:32I was just looking at the app for game one and saw a ton of discounts being offered.
25:36Like seriously, it says like, you know, $49 off a hundred dollars off.
25:40Of course the, the, the price tags are expensive.
25:44Not outrageous if you're a hoop head and planning on going to the NBA finals.
25:50Like I said, love getting a panoramic view from the seat in the app before I buy.

26:13Last minute tickets, lowest price guaranteed.
26:17Let's keep up with the wide receiver conversation because I did not see Tyquan Thornton out
26:21there.
26:22Jayvon Baker was also not out there.
26:26So you had two of your top five guys with Kendrick Bourne, obviously still coming back
26:32from the ACL.
26:33Those guys were not on the field today.
26:36So this kind of begins an interesting conversation about the wide receiver room.
26:41The first thing I want to ask you is when we got there and you said you had an appointment,
26:46so you got there a little bit later on when we first got there, Stacey James, who does
26:50a great job with the communications department with the Patriots, he came out and he said
26:54that Baker was going to talk today and then Baker's not out there.
26:59And Stacey said, you know, there was one or two guys that were supposed to talk, but they
27:02didn't practice.
27:03So what do you make of that?
27:05Is there anything to make of that?
27:06That originally it sounded like Baker was going to meet with the media and then we don't
27:11really see him.
27:12Is it is it something that's just a miscommunication between the Patriots and the communications
27:16department or what could happen there?
27:19Yeah, I the short answer is I don't know.
27:22And so I'm not going to make a big deal out of it.
27:23But, you know, Judon was another guy who was supposed to talk.
27:27And yeah, he did not.
27:29And he practiced and he just, you know, sort of walked off.
27:33Baker was supposed to talk and that he didn't practice is not new.
27:39He has he didn't take part in any camp at all, and it was prearranged that he was going
27:43to talk.
27:44So the only thing I can draw from that is both of those guys declined to talk.
27:51And I don't think either are either is a good sign.
27:56You know, we've talked a lot about Baker and some of his issues is he is he worried about
28:03having to face some of the questions about, you know, some of his background and things
28:08like that?
28:10I don't know.
28:11But I don't think it was great on either account.
28:15But leaving it open that we don't specifically know what happened.
28:19Yeah, Judon, too, especially, I mean, maybe it's the fact that he did the radio interview
28:24yesterday with Rich Shurtleve and Mike Giardi and and Michael Hurley.
28:29Maybe that's why he did not want to.
28:33Talk more with the media today after saying what he said yesterday.
28:37We don't know.
28:38But it's it's absolutely an interesting note that both he and Baker were scheduled to speak
28:42with the media and neither did.
28:44So we keep an eye on that Taekwon Thornton.
28:47Who knows?
28:48Who knows, man?
28:49I think the the roller coaster that is Taekwon Thornton, I just I don't see it yet.
28:58And, you know, maybe by training camp, he'll he'll turn us all around.
29:02But I would not if I had a Taekwon Thornton jersey, I would not feel particularly confident
29:07that I could rock that during a Sunday while he's out there on the field.
29:11Jalen Rager, another receiver as part of this, you know, group that is fighting for the final
29:16likely two to three roster spots, depending on what they do with Kendrick Bourne.
29:22Rager early in practice, he dropped the pass.
29:25It was it was the first snap of the day and Brissette threw it to Rager and he dropped
29:32it.
29:33And it looked like he jammed his finger.
29:34He hurt his finger.
29:35He was back out there on the field later on.
29:38But Rager did not do much.
29:39So I bring all of that up because I ask you, Greg, this wide receiver room pokes obviously
29:44going to make it.
29:46Kendrick Bourne will make it.
29:47We'll see if he's on the PUP.
29:50Jayvon Baker, I assume he will make it unless something unforeseen happens.
29:55The rest of these guys after minicamp now, as we get ready to head towards training camp,
30:02how would you kind of place the rest of the guys, KJ Osborne, Thorin, Juju Smith, Schuster,
30:08who did nothing today, and the guys that we've brought up already, you know, as far as that
30:16that last three, four or five kind of spot on this roster.
30:20Right.
30:21So, you know, we know Polk, Bourne, POP are definitely going to be here.
30:27KJ Osborne is definitely going to be here.
30:29I mean, they signed a new contract.
30:30He's going to be here, Baker.
30:32That's five.
30:33Booty, you know, who knows?
30:38So you think you think Osborne's on no matter what, because of the contract?
30:41Yeah, no matter what.
30:42I think he was brought here for a reason.
30:44He's been underwhelming in the spring, had a case of the drops.
30:48But I think he's here for his professionalism and having been in the scheme before.
30:53So I think he's definitely here.
30:54So that's five.
30:57To me, you know, I think that Ragoor's here also because of his returnability.
31:07I think I think Juju's gone at some point.
31:10And I think it's between Booty and Tyquan Thornton for like another spot if they go
31:14with another wide receiver.
31:17But I can't tell you which way that's going to go.
31:19I would say it's not looking good for Tyquan at this point.
31:25You know, along with, you know, him not being able to go today again.
31:31And you know, that drop that I talked about in the first play of team on Monday in traffic.
31:37I don't think it's looking good for Tyquan and Juju.
31:42I got a couple of more questions for Greg.
31:45But first, I remind you, this episode is brought to you by PrizePix, largest daily
31:48fantasy sports platform in North America.
31:51Download the app today.
31:52Use code CLNS for a first deposit match up to $100.
31:55Also you can check out BSJ, 50 bucks for the year.
31:59And I will tell you, we had a big development today.
32:03I actually spoke with Mike Giardi.
32:05So that happened.
32:07We've crossed that bridge a little bit.
32:09So we'll talk about Brady Night.
32:13But it was kind of fun where it was Giardi, Greg, and I, along with Jimmy Louth on the
32:18left.
32:19So it was like Giardi said something along the lines of like, it's like the BSJ crew.
32:23And the three of us walked out together like, you know, the movies when they get black and
32:28white with the glasses on like Reservoir Dogs.
32:30Yep.
32:31So you can you can spend 50 bucks for the entire year for BSJ's great coverage.
32:41Corrales down in Dallas.
32:43We'll see if Porzingis plays tonight or not for game three.
32:46But you can check about 50 bucks for the year.
32:49All right.
32:50One other guy I want to ask you about might be random to you.
32:53But Alex Barth and I were talking about him a little bit.
32:56Made a couple of plays during practice.
32:58That's your Michael Hastie.
33:00We've talked about running backs.
33:01We know Ramon Dre is going to be Ramon Dre, Gibson's Gibson.
33:05Does Hastie have a chance to be the third back on this roster?
33:09Absolutely.
33:10Yeah.
33:11We're going to have to see what the undrafted guys do.
33:14Like, you know, I know Fenwick, who they really like a lot, has been dealing with a tight
33:19hamstring all offseason.
33:20So we really haven't seen him do anything.
33:22He's not really like a speed back.
33:25He's more of like a power back, you know, a little bit slower than Sean Fenwick.
33:34But yeah, Michael Hastie is this, you know, little sort of spark plug type of guy.
33:40And I think he definitely has a chance to earn a role on this team.
33:45Last one.
33:46Big picture.
33:47We're done with mandatory minicamp.
33:50We'll see what happens at training camp.
33:51But as we head into July and the quiet time happens over the next couple of weeks, just
33:57your overall thoughts on this football team where they're at.
34:01My overall comment is I feel worse about this team after what I've seen this offseason.
34:07I'm sorry.
34:08All right.
34:09Great.
34:10We're out of here.
34:13I was, and it all has to do with the offensive line.
34:16I mean, I like what I've seen out of the receivers.
34:18I like what I've seen out of the running backs.
34:19I like what I've seen out of the quarterbacks.
34:21I like what I've seen out of the defense.
34:23But the offensive line has been a train wreck in this training camp.
34:29I mean, not training camp, minicamp, sorry.
34:32And you know, again, there's a lot of prefaces to this.
34:37We haven't seen, it's been a long time since I've seen these guys, this style of offense,
34:43West Coast, Van Pelt, McCarthy type of thing, McAdoo.
34:47It's been a long time.
34:48So I'm removed on how they do things as far as like, are they just using this to test
34:55things and then they'll settle down for training camp.
34:59That could be the case.
35:01I was more hopeful of seeing like a little bit more regimented, like, you know, a core
35:08four and Caden Wallace at left tackle, Sidney So and Moffey at left guard, David Anders
35:14and Jake Anders has been hurt at center.
35:17Right guard, you know, maybe it's also Moffey, but you know, Nick Leverett and Leighton Robinson.
35:26Right tackle, Michael Wenu, Calvin Anderson, Vardarian Lowe.
35:33Like I thought it didn't seem that difficult to me to sort of stack guys.
35:38Here we go.
35:39This is what we're going to do.
35:40Here's the plan.
35:41And then to end with mandatory minicamp with Caden Wallace at right tackle and Michael
35:46Wenu at right guard, along with what's going on at left tackle, I mean, I'm just, I'm puzzled
35:53by it.
35:54I'm disturbed.
35:55I'm worried.
35:56It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth for this off season.
36:00And you know, sorry to be a little bit negative on it, but that's, that's my overriding thought
36:06like leaving the off season practices.
36:10I don't feel great about where the offense is.
36:13It starts with the offensive line because so much is predicated on the offensive line
36:16in any offense, especially this one with the running and the boots and the thing off the
36:21play action and all that stuff.
36:24And if, if the offensive line is effing things up, which at one point today, by the way,
36:30mind you, I saw Michael Wenu and Caden Wallace run into each other at one point.
36:35I think the rookie went the wrong way and banged in the big Mike and I'm like, Oh, this
36:40is freaking great.
36:42So yeah, I don't, I feel worse about this team after this off season, but who knows
36:49real football is coming.
36:52I lied.
36:53Any thoughts on a Brady night, which is going to happen tonight?
36:57Uh, I have none, sorry.
36:59I, uh, I have to drive my daughter to a softball tournament, so I will not be there.
37:05All I could tell you is that the security at Gillette stadium today was on another level.
37:11It was worse than any game day or concert or anything like that.
37:15Like at about, at like 10 o'clock in the morning, that place was on lockdown.
37:19I mean, you know, I know the cargo is precious with all the, all the Patriots, dignitaries
37:24and all the ex players and current players and stuff like that, but Holy moly, that place
37:28was Fort Knox.
37:29Like good, good luck to you, Nick and other people like getting in and out of there tonight.
37:35Like good luck.
37:39Not looking forward to it.
37:41Getting out of there is going to be a nightmare.
37:43All right.
37:44We added this so happily.
37:46Everybody have a great weekend.
37:47Weather's supposed to be pretty good.
37:48We'll talk to you next week.
