04:12 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
04:15 I am very happy.
04:17 I confess that I am very happy and I

04:49 In India, 642 million citizens went to the polls
04:52 to exercise their right to vote in the mega-central general
04:55 elections that concluded Saturday.
04:57 The chief of India's electoral commission, Rajiv Kumar,
05:00 declared that the nation lived a historical moment
05:02 by establishing a world record of 642 million voters.
05:06 Kumar informed that starting on Tuesday,
05:08 officials will begin counting votes, a process that
05:11 will be done simultaneously, district by district,
05:13 without having a definite time frame.
05:15 The electoral authority also acknowledged
05:17 the great logistical challenge that
05:18 represented getting a country of 1.4 billion people
05:21 to the polls and ensured that the vote counting
05:24 process is completely solid.
05:26 Regarding the results, most surveys
05:28 predict a win for the Bharatiya Janata Party,
05:31 the Hindu nationalist party of prime minister Narendra Modi.
05:34 [MUSIC PLAYING]
05:38 We have created a world record of 642 million proud Indian
05:43 voters.
05:46 This is a historic moment for all of us,
05:48 for the nation as a whole.
05:51 642 ever anywhere in the world in any of the electoral
05:55 exercise, and it is 2.5 times of the voters of 27 countries
06:01 in the EU.
06:03 That has been the incredible power of the voters of India.
06:08 In Serbia, President Aleksandar Vucic
06:10 announced the victory of the Serbian Progressive Party
06:12 in Belgrade's local elections.
06:14 During a press conference, the head of state
06:16 pointed out that his party won with an absolute majority,
06:19 obtaining 52.7% of the votes.
06:21 President Vucic stated they also won together
06:23 with their socialist partners in the cities of Novi Sad and Nice.
06:27 Sunday's elections were held in a total of 89 regions.
06:30 In the capital, the vote had to be held anew,
06:33 as the authorities were not able to form a local government
06:36 after last December's elections.
06:37 We have a lot of work ahead of us, a lot of problems.
06:46 As president of the republic and friend of all these people,
06:49 I can say that difficult times are ahead of us,
06:52 very difficult times for which we are not to blame,
06:55 nor do we deserve them.
06:56 As for the foreign political situation,
06:59 it will be more and more difficult.
07:01 We will have to preserve our country, preserve peace,
07:04 but also our freedom.
07:07 On Sunday, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa
07:09 called for unity after the African National Congress won
07:12 the general election but failed to win an absolute majority.
07:15 During the polls held on Wednesday,
07:16 May 29, President Ramaphosa's party
07:18 won 40.15% of the vote, which represents a decline of nearly
07:22 17% from the 2019 elections.
07:25 The result is a turning point for the party
07:27 that has held an absolute majority since 1994,
07:30 the year Nelson Mandela led the country
07:32 to a democratic government.
07:33 In light of the outcome, the ruling African National
07:36 Congress will have to form alliances
07:37 to ensure the re-election of President Ramaphosa, who
07:40 highlighted the transparency of the electoral process
07:42 and classified it as a democratic triumph
07:45 for his nation.

09:22 - Welcome back.
09:23 Humanitarian organizations warn that malnutrition
09:26 threatens the lives of at least 3,000 children in the Gaza
09:29 Strip.
09:29 The United Nations Children's Fund
09:31 reported that the escalation of Israeli hostilities in Gaza
09:34 has had a catastrophic toll on children and families.
09:38 Expanding on the statement, UNICEF
09:39 informed that thousands of children under the age of five
09:42 suffer from malnutrition, as many of them
09:45 have nothing to eat, even for a full day.
09:47 In view of the situation, the government of Gaza
09:50 stressed that children need a radical and immediate response
09:53 to all the crises to which they are being systematically
09:55 exposed by the Israeli occupation,
09:58 the most pressing ones being the lack of food and medical care.
10:01 [END PLAYBACK]
10:06 Palestine, at least 22 people were killed in the last hours
10:09 after overnight bombardments by the Israeli occupation forces
10:12 in the Gaza Strip.
10:13 Early Monday morning, six civilians
10:14 were killed, including children and women,
10:16 and 15 others were wounded after an Israeli strike targeted
10:20 a house in the Buraj refugee camp
10:22 in the center of the devastated Palestinian enclave.
10:25 Further shelling in Hanounis and Nusrat camp
10:27 killed 16 more people, including at least three children.
10:31 Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army
10:32 continues its ground offensive in Rafa,
10:35 which has already forced the displacement of 1.7 million
10:38 Palestinians in the past few days.
10:40 [SHOUTING]
10:45 [SPEAKING PALESTINIAN]
10:47 Tonight, they bombed my aunt's house,
10:49 and the targets were mostly children.
10:51 Like you, these people were innocent.
10:52 Either they fired rockets, nor they did nothing.
10:56 They were sleeping in their house,
10:57 and two missiles fell on them.
11:00 [END PLAYBACK]
11:02 On Monday morning, citizens said goodbye
11:04 to their beloved at a hospital after the massacre committed
11:08 in the east region of Hanounis against the Al-Burain
11:11 and Abu Qatar families by Israeli troops.
11:14 Since the onset of the genocidal offensive
11:16 against the Palestinian people on October 7,
11:17 the regime has slaughtered 36,439 people,
11:21 while over 82,000 have been injured.
11:24 The unstoppable shelling, the lack of necessary equipment,
11:27 and the massive destruction have made it difficult
11:29 for civil defense teams to reach the thousands of victims still
11:32 trapped in the rubble and scattered on the roads, which
11:34 means the actual total death toll would be higher.
11:36 Palestine, the information of the Gazan authorities
11:45 revealed that the Israeli occupation forces
11:47 have dropped a total of 78,000 tons of bombs
11:50 on the Gaza Strip since the onset of the recreation
11:52 on October 2023.
11:55 According to the briefing released on Monday
11:57 and 240 days after the beginning of the recreation,
12:00 the attacks have reportedly caused $33 billion
12:02 worth of economic damage in the Gaza Strip.
12:05 The report also informed that 1,095,000 Gazans
12:09 suffer from infectious diseases as a result of experiencing
12:12 constant displacement and poor living conditions.
12:15 After a negotiation roadmap was proposed by the US President
12:25 Joe Biden to achieve a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict,
12:28 the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement
12:30 has stated it would not enter the talks
12:32 until the genocidal attacks on the Gaza Strip stop.
12:34 With more information regarding the proposal and its aftermath,
12:37 we go to Palestine with terrorist correspondent
12:39 Huda Hegazi.
12:40 Two days ago, the President of the United States, Joe Biden,
12:50 held a press conference to announce a new proposal
12:52 for negotiations between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance
12:55 Movement Hamas and the Israeli entity,
12:57 with the aim of carrying out a humanitarian truce
13:00 and an exchange of hostages between these two entities.
13:03 As President Joe Biden had assured at this press
13:06 conference, this new proposal was divided into three phases.
13:10 We are talking about that in the first phase there
13:13 should be a humanitarian truce of six consecutive weeks,
13:16 in which Israel and Hamas should stop military actions
13:20 in the Gaza Strip.
13:21 We are also talking that Hamas should release approximately
13:25 33 Israeli hostages, among them women,
13:28 children under the age of 19, in addition
13:30 to the chronically ill elderly, and there should also
13:33 be a repositioning of Israeli military forces
13:35 in the border areas of the Gaza Strip.
13:38 In other words, there should be a withdrawal
13:40 of the occupation forces in the residential areas
13:43 inside the Strip and also Israel should
13:45 allow the entry of 600 trucks of humanitarian aid
13:48 on a daily basis.
13:50 After the end of this phase, we would
13:52 proceed to the second phase.
13:54 Then, in this second phase, we would
13:57 be talking about the possibility of signing
13:59 an agreement between Israel and Hamas
14:01 to reach a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
14:04 Also in this second phase we would
14:06 be talking about the fact that Israel would no longer
14:09 reposition itself in the border areas,
14:11 but that there would be a complete withdrawal
14:12 from the Gaza Strip.
14:14 And in this phase Israel should release
14:16 a number of imprisoned Palestinians
14:18 in exchange for Hamas proceeding to release
14:20 the remaining hostages who are still alive,
14:22 of which we are talking about Israeli soldiers.
14:25 In the third phase we are already
14:27 talking about the completion of this hostage exchange
14:30 where they would proceed to release the remaining hostages,
14:33 including the dead bodies and also Israel
14:36 must release a specified number of imprisoned Palestinians
14:38 and in this last phase will begin the reconstruction
14:41 stage in the Gaza Strip to begin to rebuild all the damage
14:44 that Israel has caused in this coastal enclave.
14:47 However, up to this moment the Hamas movement
14:52 has assured that it has yet to receive officially
14:54 and in writing this new proposal sheet and one of the main
14:57 demands that Hamas is asking to participate
14:59 of the negotiations is that before any meeting takes place,
15:03 Israel must stop the military acts in the Gaza Strip
15:06 and therefore up to this moment Hamas
15:08 has assured that it will not take part in the negotiations
15:11 and will not have meetings with Israel
15:12 or even with the intermediaries until it does not
15:15 stop the military acts.
15:17 However, the main drawback at the moment
15:19 is inside the cabinet of the Israeli Prime Minister
15:22 Benjamin Netanyahu where there are several ministers who
15:24 accept and are showing the need to sign this agreement in order
15:27 to save the lives of the Israeli hostages,
15:30 but however there are other ministers such as the Minister
15:32 of National Security Litmar Vingevere as well
15:36 as the Minister of Finance Bezazels Motrek who are assuring
15:39 that if Benjamin Netanyahu accepts this new proposal
15:42 they will resign from the cabinet because they want
15:44 to continue with the war until Israel manages to completely
15:47 defeat Hamas and therefore there are still several differences
15:50 and we don't know if this proposal, which according
15:54 to several analysts could be the last chance to save
15:57 the lives of the hostages, could be carried out or not.
