00:00 Hello, welcome to our National Afternoon Weather Update from the Met Office. It's going to
00:04 be another very warm day out there, but we're also going to see some heavy showers developing.
00:09 We have got some weather warnings in force, yellow thunderstorms warnings across Northern
00:14 Ireland, parts of Scotland and also Wales and England. Some of these thunderstorms could
00:19 contain hail, thunder and lightning, turning to longer spells of rain across Northern Ireland
00:24 and Scotland. But we do hold on to a lot of fine weather, especially across the south
00:30 and east, with a lot of sunshine around, temperatures are rising once again. We could see highs
00:35 of 27, possibly 28 degrees. So heavy showers are continuing, especially across parts of
00:42 Wales, Midlands, focusing further northwards as we go into this evening and overnight,
00:48 pushing their way into parts of Scotland as well. Elsewhere, we do see skies turning drier.
00:55 We'll see clearer spells, especially across eastern parts, but quite a bit of low cloud
00:59 coming into the west ahead of this next low pressure system. But it is going to be another
01:05 rather mild night once again, with lows of generally around 11 or 12 degrees. So showers,
01:12 outbreaks of rain across Scotland generally moving their way northwards. Then it's a bit
01:17 of an east west split in the weather on Monday. Low cloud breaking up to give plenty of fine
01:22 weather once again across eastern parts. Some showers across Scotland, but low pressure
01:28 becoming in charge as we go through the rest of Monday across western parts. We have got
01:33 yellow warnings in force once again. These are rain warnings, so expect some heavy and
01:37 persistent rain at times, leading to difficult driving conditions with spray on the road
01:42 and some blustery winds as well, affecting Northern Ireland, south west England and also
01:48 south western Wales. But as for temperatures, actually it's going to be feeling quite a
01:53 lot cooler than what we've had in recent days. Still feeling warm in the sunshine, especially
01:57 across eastern parts, but underneath all this cloud and rain, it is going to be feeling
02:01 quite different, with highs struggling here at around 15 or 16 degrees. Into the rest
02:09 of Monday afternoon then could give some difficult driving conditions for Russia, especially
02:13 across Northern Ireland and parts of the south west as this band of rain slowly moves its
02:18 way north and eastwards. Clearer skies across eastern parts, still quite a bit of cloud
02:24 around, but hopefully staying largely dry the further east you go. So it is turning
02:30 unsettled, a change is in store. Make sure you stay tuned to the latest on our YouTube
02:35 channel and hit subscribe so you don't miss a forecast. I'll catch you soon. Bye bye.
