00:00Q. So could you say your name for the camera please?
00:03Caroline Henry.
00:04Q. So commiserations on the election. There's a lot of conversation at the moment about
00:08trusting policing. Do you think the new commissioner will have to restore trust in Nottinghamshire
00:12Police?
00:13Well the Chief Constable, Kate Mennell, who's excellent, already has a plan that we've been
00:18working on to do that. It's called Operation Catalyst and there's a lot of ground work
00:23that's been done.
00:24Q. And your term was slightly shorter than some of the police crime commissioners. Is
00:29there anything you regret you couldn't get done?
00:33I was robbed. It should have been four years. Three years isn't a long time to get as much
00:40as I wanted to do done. But I'm really proud of what I achieved. 10% more police officers
00:45out there, a really big plan to get more bobbies on the beat and a massive reduction in neighbourhood
00:51crime come down. So I'd love to have done more but I'm really proud of what I delivered
00:56and I'm also proud of the team that is the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner and
01:00they will carry on delivering for our wonderful public.
01:03Q. And presumably you think that they will get out of special measures from HMI?
01:07Absolutely. I was disappointed when they went on to engage status but there is a plan and
01:17that work has already started.
01:20Q. Great, thank you very much.
