00:00For New York, people will come more here and there's a lot more shops, the market, everything
00:12like that.
00:13It will benefit New York a hell of a lot, I think, personally.
00:17I can't see why it wouldn't.
00:18It'd bring more people to the town, they can pop in, they can do longer shops.
00:23Yeah, it's just a good idea all round.
00:26I think it was suggested by Sibley's Butchers that the parking be free in the marketplace
00:32on the quieter days, when there's not a market that's going on, and I think two hours free
00:39parking would certainly get more people coming into the town.
00:43I think if you have a look around today, it's pretty quiet and there are more and more shops
00:46closing, so I think that's a really, really good idea for the town, definitely.
00:51Yeah, I think it would be a really good idea to bring free parking in for two hours in
00:55Newark, to bring more people into Newark, because at the moment the only places you
00:59can park are in the supermarket, so it would be good for the other car parks, definitely
01:05something that Newark should be looking at.
01:08Because it brings people into the town and they can buy the shopping and get back in
01:15the car and go.
01:17I think they would.
01:18I come over from Nottingham and Arnold, Sherwood, Mapley have all got two hours free parking
01:24around the shopping areas and it does draw people in.
01:29So I think coming to Newark, and my daughter lives here, which is why I come over sometimes,
01:35and I've parked and paid down by the castle, it is still quite cheap to park compared to
01:41other places, but I think two hours free parking would definitely draw more people in.
