00:00Hello again. Heading into May the weather remains pretty mixed but it is
00:04continuing to warm up at least for some of us. Now today it's been a fine day
00:10across many eastern areas but in the west we've had low pressure and this
00:13weather front stubbornly providing cloud and outbreaks of rain. Now we are seeing
00:17a weather front creeping up to the east and that will provide some showers as we
00:21go through the early hours for parts of East Anglia maybe into Lincolnshire. The
00:25weather front in the west will continue to provide some outbreaks of rain well
00:28into the evening pushing up into parts of southwest Scotland but many areas
00:32will become dry as we head through the early hours. A lot of cloud around and
00:36generally the air is coming up from the south so it's not a chilly night. Many
00:41towns and cities will stay in double digits. It's a little chillier in northern
00:45Scotland. On to the details for Wednesday and things are going to be flipped round
00:49a little bit. There'll be much more cloud across northeast England, some outbreaks
00:54of rain through parts of Yorkshire extending up towards southeast Scotland
00:58and then into northeast Scotland by late morning early afternoon. Nothing too
01:02heavy but a very different day here dull and damp with some rain at times. We'll
01:08see brighter skies though for Wednesday for Wales and southwest England
01:11certainly compared to Tuesday and some good spouts of sunshine for Northern
01:15Ireland and especially western parts of Scotland. In the south do need to watch
01:20out for some heavy showers developing late in the day. Temperature is going to
01:24be interesting because with the breeze coming in from the North Sea and a much
01:27duller day it's going to be a very different feeling day for eastern
01:30Scotland and northeast England. But western Scotland down towards northwest
01:35England in this zone with some brighter skies over the Midlands, East Anglia in the
01:39southeast 18, 19, 20 degrees is possible and even further south and west up which is
01:44generally a little bit higher than Tuesday's values. As we go through
01:49Wednesday evening though we do need to watch for these heavy showers coming up
01:51from the south and big thunderstorms are possible. Parts of Wales, southern England
01:55maybe through the early hours of Thursday morning turning into quite a
01:59light show with some lightning hail thunder possible as well as these
02:04downpours work their way in perhaps parts of the Midlands being affected too.
02:07So that's something we need to keep a close eye on elsewhere generally staying
02:10dry as we go through the course of the nights and temperatures again many
02:14places holding up in double figures. On to the details for Thursday likely to
02:18start cloudy with some heavy rain across the southwestern corner of the UK. A lot
02:23of spray and surface water on the roads whereas the M4 and the M5 for that
02:27Thursday morning commute that should tend to ease away. We could see further
02:31showers in the south staying cloudy here. Then a sunnier zone for Northern Ireland,
02:35Northern England, East Anglia and much of Scotland. But with this breeze coming in
02:40from the North Sea we are going to see some harrow threats keeping things
02:43fairly cloudy and as a result fairly cool here as well. But in the sunny
02:48spells again we could get into the high teens low 20s but with the cloud in the
02:52southwest staying in the mid-teens at best here. Those temperatures when you
02:57compare them to the May average well above in Western Scotland on Thursday
03:02could easily get to 21 or 22 in locations and with the brighter skies
03:06of Northwest England, North Wales. These colours represent those temperatures
03:11compared to the May average whereas we'll be slightly below across the
03:14southwest and along parts of the East Coast. Plenty going on then with the
03:19weather it is warming up but not for all. If you're watching on YouTube don't
