00:02 >> Okay, standard.com,
00:04 Shay, just your perspective on on loose steel and lay up there at the end.
00:09 >> We made a big time play.
00:12 We see it all game, we see it all season long.
00:15 That's a specialty.
00:17 You brought it out just in time for tonight.
00:22 >> And just like to the athletic, what were your thoughts on Poku's impact on
00:25 the third quarter?
00:26 As far as a particular pass that kind of made you smile,
00:30 what were your thoughts on his third quarter?
00:33 >> Yeah, he came in and gave great minutes.
00:36 He did the little things, cut, move the ball, set screens.
00:42 And then as far as the pass goes, he just made a poker play.
00:48 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:50 Super skilled, obviously.
00:52 And as well, he used it at the right time.
00:56 >> What were your thoughts on Trey's minutes?
00:58 He had some time in the G-league and came back and
01:00 seems to have made some improvements.
01:02 >> Yeah, we played good tonight.
01:04 I've said this before, I think with all our rookies,
01:07 they'll get more comfortable the more they play.
01:10 And that's how I remember Trey.
01:12 He looks a lot more comfortable out there than he did the first night, I'm sure.
01:15 [BLANK_AUDIO]
01:18 >> Shay, you looked a little frustrated there in the final couple minutes
01:22 getting those back to back offensive fouls.
01:24 Did those calls sort of surprise you in that moment?
01:27 >> Yeah, it did.
01:31 When I look back at it, I for sure did push off.
01:34 So I was like, nothing I can do, it's my fault.
01:36 Yeah, it's basketball, made two bad plays.
01:41 Hopefully, it'll make two good plays next time.
01:43 >> How did it feel out there in the new uniforms and on the new court?
01:47 >> Yeah, it felt good.
01:47 To be honest, once we started playing, I didn't realize it.
01:52 It was cool the first time we stepped on there.
01:54 It was cool, it was nice to look at.
01:55 [BLANK_AUDIO]
02:01 >> Myron Patton, Fox 25.
02:03 I know when you're coming back from like you guys have done so
02:05 many times already this season, they're tough.
02:08 But was this a little bit tougher?
02:09 Cuz the first half, you guys, just a lot of layups,
02:12 didn't look like you had a lot going offensively, just kind of slugging along.
02:15 Was this one tougher than say some of the others?
02:17 >> No, they all felt the same.
02:19 We were down deficit.
02:23 It always starts on a defensive end for us.
02:26 We get stops, we give ourselves a chance to get back in the game.
02:29 We give ourselves a chance for the balls to start dropping eventually.
02:31 And they worked on it a couple times this season, but
02:36 not to answer your question.
02:38 >> How do you keep going when you're missing shots you normally make?
02:41 I mean, cuz to me that makes defense even tougher then.
02:45 >> Yeah, we have no choice.
02:46 We start, we're down 18, we'll lose by 35.
02:52 We're gonna try to come back and win it by 35 for sure.
02:55 >> Nick Gallo, KC Thunder.com.
02:59 Shea, I think Mark called a timeout about eight minute mark of the third quarter
03:03 right after they had gotten a lob to Holmes.
03:06 I don't remember them getting another one of those alley-oops again the rest
03:09 of the game.
03:09 How did you all shut that off?
03:11 >> Yeah, just helped each other defensively.
03:15 Forcing them to play in our rotations.
03:20 So help that came over, two guys.
03:22 And I was saying we just were more aware of it.
03:26 Obviously, it hurt us twice in a row.
03:27 And that was something that they were going to, so we had to kind of get a tap up.
03:32 >> Council group, is there any more questions?
03:38 Christos Solvas, go ahead with your question, Christos.
03:41 >> Hey, Shea, congratulations on the win.
03:43 It was the fourth comeback win for you this season.
03:47 What it means, what sign of growth for your team is this?
03:51 And what you would like to maintain from tonight's game to the next games?
03:56 >> Yeah, we're getting better for sure.
04:01 One day at a time, we practice at a time, one game at a time.
04:06 That's all we can ask for.
04:08 Now what it results in, we go out there and give it our all.
04:12 And hope for the best, but we're getting better.
04:13 We can all feel it.
04:14 With that being said, though, we're not satisfied.
04:17 >> And we got one more last question.
04:21 >> Go ahead, Daniel.
04:23 >> Yes, Shea, when you have an off night, what is your mindset or
04:28 thought process of knowing when to go try to get a basket?
04:32 And then knowing when to try to get other guys involved?
04:35 Like it seemed that you knew when you need to score, and
04:39 it seemed like you knew when guys need to get involved.
04:42 >> Yeah, I just try to be aggressive throughout the whole game.
04:49 It kind of just still play basketball, take what the defense gives me.
04:52 But I also know if I'm off, I have tremendous teammates and
04:59 they'll pick up the slack for me.
05:00 And now I know what spots they like, things like that.
05:04 So it just goes to being a team player and getting them in those spots.
05:07 And if I don't got it, they got it going forward to make a play or whatever it is.
05:11 >> Thanks, Shea.
05:12 >> Thank you.
05:13 >> [INAUDIBLE]
