00:00questions in the room. They will go to the zoom. There's your hand on the
00:04mic.
00:08Lou, you guys have had these comebacks. Um, but tonight looked like it might
00:13have been a little bit tougher. I mean, the first half you guys couldn't get
00:16anything to go shot in the 20th percentile. What changed in the fourth
00:20quarter in particular that got you guys going over the hump? Uh, it's uh, it's
00:24a 48 minute game and I just felt like we got some good looks in the first
00:29half. We just didn't finish it. You know, sometimes it happens and we just
00:32got to play through everything. And I mean, the second unit did a great job,
00:35you know, in the third quarter, you know, going to the fort just bringing
00:38us back and and I felt like we just had to take care of the ball to end and
00:41just finish the game.
00:44Intersect of the athletic. Luke, can you walk us through that final steal
00:48and the finish and you know, from your perspective, what was going on? Oh, I
00:52mean, at first I thought he was going to go one on one and trying to go
00:55against me and I was, I think they set a screen or whatever and I was just
00:59trying to stay in front of him. And I mean, he kind of, he just, I mean, I
01:03didn't, I didn't really like move my hands that much. He just kind of lost
01:06the ball and I just took it and then I had to go up strong. I know it was not
01:09that much time left and I had to go finish. That's what I did. You've been
01:13finishing a lot better around the rim this season. Can you walk us through
01:17mechanically what's different about your finishing around the rim this
01:22season versus last? Yeah, I feel like it's just reps and just, I got to go up
01:25strong. You know, I'm, I'm a big physical guy and then, you know, I can
01:28move a lot of people, you know, when I drive. So I just got to stay confident,
01:32stay strong and go up.
01:36Paris Lawson. Okay. See thunder dot com. Lou wanted to ask you your
01:39perspective on Trey man's night. Obviously he had some time with the blue
01:43this season. You and your background with the Julie, just what did you think
01:46of him and taking that experience and what he's done for you guys over the
01:49past two games? I mean, just he's been doing good, you know, just, I mean,
01:54obviously he has some, some shade, you know, to look up to and stuff like that.
01:58And, you know, just reflecting to me when I was going back to the Julie, you
02:01know, I mean, I just felt like it helps me, you know, just getting more and more
02:04used to the NBA game. So I felt like, you know, he's been doing a great job,
02:09you know, just going back, having the right mentality and just coming in with
02:11us and to be ready. Nick Gallo. Okay. See thunder dot com. Lou. Poku stole
02:17your move. He took a offensive foul trying to hustle around a screen. He
02:21blocked a shot hustling back in transition. Just what do you think of
02:23some of the like the hustle plays that Poku had tonight? Big rebounds and
02:27stuff. He did great, you know, just playing his role, just being
02:31aggressive, playing hard, getting rebounds, blocking shots. And I just
02:35felt like, you know, that's one thing that he can do a great job at it. I feel
02:38like he got to keep doing this for us. And I mean, I just felt like the whole
02:41team did some great hustle stuff. I mean, there's so much we can say about
02:46Yeah, Cliff Brown Associated Press. What does it mean when you see a guy
02:49like Jeremiah Robinson are all who goes one for nine but yet gets 14 rebounds
02:54and finds a way to have an impact on the game. I mean, I just felt like this
02:58thing, you just got to find a way to impact the game. And, you know,
03:01sometimes it's not going your way. You know, he had a, he missed, he missed a
03:06lot of shots and that's fine. He just got to keep playing and you know, keep
03:09standing the game. And I just felt like he did a great job just being
03:11aggressive on the rebounds. Joe Masato, the Oklahoman. Lou, how did
03:15it feel to have your mom here tonight to watch you play? I felt great. You
03:19know, it's first time my mom came here in OKC and you know, just I came a
03:25long way. You know, I come from Montreal and I mean, we've been through so
03:28much and you know, today she was here to enjoy me having a game winner. It
03:32just, it's just so big and I'm just happy she here and I'm going to enjoy
03:35some some good time watching. Okay, so does she still live in Montreal? Yeah,
03:39she's still in Montreal. What was it about tonight that brought her here
03:43for this game? Uh, I mean, it was just a perfect weekend and we're going to be
03:47home. So yeah, it just worked well for her schedule, her work schedule. So I
03:52mean, she's here for a little bit. She's going to enjoy and she's going to
03:54enjoy her time here. Thanks.
04:00One more for me. Lou just wanted to get your thoughts on playing on that
04:07alternate court tonight for the first time and what it was like wearing those
04:10jerseys. What you thought? It was so nice. Um, I mean, just stepping on the
04:14floor and in Washington, it was just so great. And I was, I stayed here. I was
04:18watching on my phone, all the pictures and stuff and I felt like we just look
04:21good.
04:25All right, we'll take a zoom now. We'll start with Christos Saltas. Go ahead
04:29with your question Christos. Hey Lou, congratulations on the win. Last season
04:33your block over at John Wall called the game in Houston. This season you're
04:37still in your bucket called the game against Sacramento Kings. What it means
04:41those plays for you about your character as a player and your boost and your
04:46confidence booster as well. I mean, you just always play hard. It's just, that's
04:51just how I approach the game. And I felt like, you know, when it's time to make
04:55big plays, I'm confident enough to step up and I felt like that was just that
05:00time.
05:02All right, next up, we'll go to Adam Francisco. Go ahead with the question,
05:04Adam.
05:05What's going on, Lou? It's so hard to play elite defense in the NBA and keep
05:13your energy. It's also really hard to play elite offense and keep your energy.
05:17How do you do both? What's your like, conditioning regimen? What's going on
05:21there?
05:22Yeah, I just gotta have a good diet, I guess. And, you know, I mean, it's just
05:28I just felt like that's always the way I approach the game. And just since I was
05:31young, so it's a habit now. So, I mean, looking at it, it may be hard, but I
05:35felt like that's something that I got comfortable at. And, you know, I will
05:38always approach the game that way.
05:45Yeah, Lou, players get in a rhythm on the offensive end. But do you feel like
05:49defensively you can get in the rhythm and impose your will on a nightly basis
05:54and impact the game?
05:56Yeah, personally, sometimes I feel like, like, when it's not going going in and
06:02offensively, I felt like it's just a way to get in the game more is just to play
06:05hard on defense, trying to rush the opponent or whatever. And then, I mean,
06:10like, Jerry Rob today, you know, he stuff wasn't falling. And, you know, he
06:14just got really aggressive on the rebounds. I felt like every player has
06:17some tricks just to get in the game.
