00:00First.
00:06Myron Patton, Fox 25.
00:07Trey, obviously to me, you were a big spark tonight.
00:12How much did the G-League couple of games help you tonight
00:15and just kind of going forward in your first year?
00:19It's like it was a big part of me, you know,
00:21gaining confidence like in myself
00:23and also gaining confidence from Coach Mark
00:26and the whole staff.
00:28That was the main thing for me, going down there
00:30and show them that I can be competitive on defense,
00:32make plays on offense.
00:34And that's what I did down there,
00:35and they want me to do the same thing here, so.
00:44Andrew Schlecht of the Athletic, Trey,
00:45you hit that three to put you guys up one late in the game.
00:49How did that feel to have the thundercloud behind you?
00:52I mean, it was just in the moment.
00:54I didn't even know it put us up by one.
00:56I just wanted to make a shot.
00:59I knew it was a close game.
01:00I didn't know what the score was exactly at that moment,
01:02but it was a big shot, and then hearing the fans behind me,
01:05that felt pretty good.
01:06Celebrating with Josh, that felt good, too, so, yeah.
01:09Defensively, you know, how does it feel
01:12to compete against a team like that?
01:13They've got a lot of really good guards.
01:15You know, what's it like out there?
01:17It was tough for me.
01:19Messed up a couple times on defense.
01:20Coach was on me at halftime,
01:23but it's just a great opportunity to go out
01:25and show that I'm willing to compete.
01:28Guarding Buddy Hill, you know, the whole game,
01:31he's one of the best scorers, and I was on him,
01:33so it just shows coaches that I'm willing to compete.
01:39Joe Masato of the Oklahoma, and, Trey, what did it do?
01:42You talked about your confidence
01:45and just what a game in the G League did for that,
01:47but what did it do that Mark stuck with you
01:49for a large chunk of that fourth quarter
01:51and you were playing so much down the stretch?
01:54He told me that the way I played there,
01:57I showed that I will compete, and that's what he said.
02:00He said he was able to keep me in a little bit more
02:05because I went down there and showed that I'm willing
02:06to compete even though I messed up a couple times.
02:08He said he saw it in me, so that's what it was.
02:11And then you celebrated with Lou after his final play.
02:15What was that moment like, just celebrating with him?
02:19I mean, it was a great play.
02:22Lou's defense is crazy.
02:24I play against him in practice, so I know,
02:27but it was just a great play.
02:29I was just happy for him, happy to get the win,
02:31happy to contribute, and it was in the moment.
02:36I was excited for him, excited for the team.
02:38Thanks.
02:44Pierce Lawson, okcthunder.com.
02:46You talked about coach sticking with you there
02:48in that fourth quarter.
02:49Really, that whole fourth quarter,
02:50you seemed like you were diving on the floor
02:52after a couple of loose balls.
02:53I remember a play you and Ken Rich
02:54were both chasing after a loose ball.
02:55Can you just describe the energy and the hustle,
02:57the fight that it took to make this come back tonight
03:00and pull out a win?
03:02Coach, let's talk about 48 minutes.
03:04It's a 48-minute game,
03:06so that's what we had in our minds the whole time.
03:09We were down by, I think, 18 tonight,
03:12and we've been down by larger than that before,
03:14but it's a 48-minute game,
03:16and that was in my mind, competing.
03:18Like you said, getting on the floor,
03:20just doing whatever I could to help the team win.
03:25Nick Gallo, okcthunder.com.
03:26One of your fellow rookies, Jeremiah,
03:28who I'm sure you've gotten to just know very well
03:31over the course of this time.
03:32He didn't shoot it particularly well,
03:33but he had 14 rebounds tonight.
03:35Just your thoughts on a guy like him
03:37being able to shrug off the shooting
03:39and just do the dirty work.
03:42That's exactly what Jeremiah does.
03:43He does the dirty work every day.
03:46It's not like he take days off, practices off, games off,
03:50so that's why he's playing a lot, playing well right now,
03:52because he just doesn't take plays off.
03:54He plays hard, and I didn't even realize
03:57he had 14 rebounds.
03:58That was big, but he had a bad shoot at night tonight,
04:02but you couldn't tell
04:03because he was doing all the other stuff,
04:05so that's good for him.
04:06I'm glad he's playing well.
04:14Hey, Trey Krusaselis from Greece.
04:16Congratulations on the win.
04:18Thank you.
04:19How big boost do you get from your performance tonight,
04:21and what did you learn from players like Shea,
04:24Lou, Darius Baisley, Derek Favors?
04:27How help you to acclimate in the team?
04:33I just learned their approach to the game,
04:35how they approach every day, every practice,
04:38every meeting, everything,
04:40and just how they stay in the game, stay in the moment.
04:43They don't let bad plays or bad games get to them.
04:47I guess that's what being a pro is,
04:49and they're good examples of that.
04:51Hey, Ophel.
04:55Yeah, Trey, after I think it was the first G League game,
04:59you said that the coaching staff
05:00really wanted you to focus on your defense
05:03while you were down there.
05:04How much did that experience down there
05:06help you focus on that part of your game?
05:10It just gave me opportunities.
05:12I wasn't seeing a lot of opportunities in the games before.
05:16That's what they said.
05:16They wanted me to go down and get reps,
05:18show off my defense, and I was just playing,
05:20I think, 20 minutes, 25 minutes the first game,
05:23and I was able to show that I could play defense
05:25and I'm willing to compete and things like that.
05:28So that's really all it was, was just opportunities for me.
05:33Thank y'all.
