00:00Nick Gallo, KC Thunder.com.
00:03Shea, we've seen you hit a bunch of sidesteps threes,
00:05but I'm not sure we've seen one quite like that.
00:08You were kind of running away.
00:09Will you just take me through how you were able
00:11to get that shot off when they were clearly trying to foul?
00:15Yeah, I knew they were going to try to foul
00:16because they were up three with a little bit of time left.
00:21So I tried to get away from the guy as fast as possible.
00:25And I wanted to go right
00:26because I know that that's my comfort zone.
00:27Unfortunately, the shot went in.
00:30And then obviously, you guys would want to be
00:31on the other side of this,
00:33but just the unpredictability of the NBA might go down
00:39as probably the most exciting finish to a game
00:42that we'll see in the NBA all season long.
00:43Just your thoughts on being in the mix on that
00:46and kind of fighting there with your teammates
00:48through the end of that game.
00:51Being on this end of it sucks for sure,
00:53but it's basketball, it's life.
00:55Sometimes things don't go your way
00:57and all you can do is control what you can control.
01:00And we gave it our all tonight.
01:01Unfortunately, it didn't come out with a win,
01:02but we'll look forward to the next game.
01:07Paris Lawson, okcthunder.com.
01:09Wanted to ask you about the second unit tonight.
01:11Obviously, they gave you a big lift,
01:12specifically Mike and Kenridge.
01:14Just what was your perspective
01:15on what they brought to the game tonight?
01:17Yeah, second unit was big, especially in that second quarter.
01:24They really opened the game up for us,
01:26gave us a comfortable lead.
01:28And then we were kind of riding that all night.
01:30But yeah, they were huge in us being in the game tonight.
01:33One other thing I wanted to ask you,
01:35you had the only free throw for the team in the first half,
01:38but then you guys finished 18 of 18 from the line.
01:41Just in halftime, was there an emphasis
01:44on getting to the line more?
01:45And just what'd you think of being able to finish
01:4818 for 18 for the night?
01:51No, we didn't talk about it.
01:54We tried to play downhill in the paint.
01:57We didn't know the best shots are generated in that area.
02:01And then I guess we're getting more calls.
02:03But yeah, we just try to get back to our identity,
02:07get in the paint, try to make something happen.
02:11Joe Masato, The Oklahoman.
02:12Shay, can you just take us through the emotion
02:16of seeing Devante's shot go through the air
02:18and then just how unlikely it is to see that one fall?
02:21Yeah, so I had made a shot
02:25and we obviously we thought we were going into overtime.
02:29That's what my head was.
02:31Okay, let's, it's a new game, 0-0, five minutes.
02:36And he shoots it.
02:37I turned around and it looked pretty good in the air.
02:40I mean, as it got closer to the net,
02:41it got hooked better and better and it fell.
02:46And obviously you're super mad, angry.
02:48Can't believe it in the moment.
02:50But like I said, it's life and it happens.
02:53Thanks.
02:55One question on the field.
02:56Go ahead, Daniel Bell with your question.
02:59Yes, Shay.
03:00You and Brandon Ingram kind of were a little bit going,
03:03going back and forth and you both had it going tonight.
03:06Is it fun playing a game like that
03:09where another guy has it going the same time you do?
03:12Or is it, are you too much in the moment to realize?
03:17Oh yeah, I'm in the moment.
03:20I'm just trying to make the best possible play
03:22for my team every possession.
03:24Trying to get as much stops as we can
03:25and try to get a W.
03:28With that being said,
03:29Brandon is a really good player, obviously.
03:31He played well tonight.
03:34A couple more, go ahead, Andrew.
03:39Yeah, I was just curious about your thoughts
03:41just on the offensive end of playing all your minutes
03:44with Josh tonight.
03:46And maybe you both seem to find some success offensively,
03:50but I just wonder from your perspective, what that was like.
03:54It's fun playing with a guy that's good on the ball
03:58and it has that many, that smart offensively.
04:01It's always easy and fun.
04:04Josh is obviously a really young
04:07and really good talent in this NBA.
04:08He'll continue to get better.
04:10And my job is to help him along the process.
04:12We're going to both continue to do so.
04:16Thank you, Shay.
