00:04 >> Nick Gallo, KC Thunder.com, Jeremiah, down 28,
00:07 making a comeback all the way to one point.
00:10 What did you see as maybe some catalysts out there on the floor to help that happen?
00:16 >> I think we just gotta keep doing things together.
00:18 We can't get down about whatever the situation is.
00:21 We know it's a long game, there's a lot of possession.
00:23 So just being able to stick together and
00:25 just being able to compete to the final buzzer sounds is important, for sure.
00:29 >> And then you're matched up with a two time all star tonight.
00:33 You're able to hurt them a little bit on those pick and pops.
00:35 Try to fight over the post ups.
00:37 What was your mindset?
00:39 What were you trying to do on both ends of the floor to be in that matchup?
00:43 >> I'll say just being smart and being aggressive on both ends of the floor,
00:46 knowing he's really good on the offense and defensive end.
00:50 So it's just a lot of fun being able to just kind of learn from experience,
00:55 just as a rookie, from playing against really good players.
00:57 And just going out there competing every night against them.
01:00 So it's just great being able to learn from those guys.
01:02 >> Here's also an okccenter.com.
01:04 I wanted to ask you about your block on Troy Brown.
01:07 Walk us through that play and
01:09 what you were doing defensively just to get put yourself in that position.
01:13 >> Well, I mean, I saw it was I think maybe a three on one or
01:16 three on two fast break and both guys were coming down the wing and
01:20 soon the guy I think Kobe White had it at the top of the key.
01:23 And I was just trying to bait them into doing something they didn't want to do.
01:26 And then just being able to, we call a moment of truth.
01:29 So just some moment of truth when somebody goes up the dunk,
01:32 what are you gonna do?
01:32 So we just make those plays for our team, just showing that we wanna be aggressive
01:37 and we're gonna battle to the very end and just battle in every situation.
01:42 >> Just when that happened and I imagine your teammates are all over you about
01:46 that, they probably recognize that was kind of a moment of truth moment for you.
01:50 Just what was that moment like?
01:51 >> I mean, it's great just being able to bring energy to our team despite we
01:55 might have just turned the ball over or situations might be happening.
01:58 So anything we can do just make those plays and
02:00 kind of just turn the momentum around for us is great.
02:03 [BLANK_AUDIO]
02:06 >> Andrew Schlecht, go ahead, Andrew.
02:07 [BLANK_AUDIO]
02:10 >> Yeah, Josh has spoken a little bit about this, but how challenging is it?
02:15 You're just a little over halfway through the season,
02:18 you have a whole half of the season left.
02:20 How challenging is it mentally to know that you have that much more
02:25 basketball to play ahead of you?
02:28 >> I mean, it's for sure a mental battle every single day.
02:31 I mean, I'm not gonna lie, I've been going through mental battles,
02:34 going out there and just.
02:35 It's just being able to just have those teammates, those veterans, guys,
02:39 be able to talk to and have coaches being able to go through those experiences as
02:42 well, so just being able to have people around you that know what you're going
02:46 through and they're there for you because everything is new for you.
02:49 So I think it's great, great having a great environment that they just know what
02:53 all the battles you're going through so they're able to help you with everything.
02:58 >> Who on the team is most helpful in that regard?
03:01 Because you have a really young team overall, but
03:05 who like what veteran is the most helpful with that regard?
03:09 >> I mean, I'll say I talked to Derek and Mike since they're similar in my position.
03:13 So just having those guys, it's nice having those guys in my position,
03:16 me being a rookie and them being able to be them playing for 10 plus years or
03:20 however long it's been just learning from every little experience.
03:24 So if I have a question, being able to go over to one of them, just ask them and
03:28 just learning from their experiences so I can add it to my game or
03:31 off the court or on the court.
03:33 So it's great having those guys around.
03:37 >> Hey, Jeremiah, I hope you're doing well.
03:43 The way that you fought in fourth quarter, how important is to maintain that effort
03:47 and what are the good habits on your game in that time of the game?
03:51 >> I mean, I think it's great to just show that we're not gonna go away in any
03:57 circumstance, but I think it's great that we can compete for a full 48 minutes.
04:02 And we know we don't wanna be in situations where we have to battle back
04:05 from 20 plus points, but I think it just shows that we have a lot of heart being
04:09 able to go out there and compete for those full 48 minutes.
04:12 >> Thanks, Jeremiah.
04:14 >> Bye. >> Bye.
