00:00 [INAUDIBLE]
00:10 >> Yeah, it's gonna be better defensively.
00:16 There are a lot of things that we just kind of slipped up on and
00:19 weren't playing by our principles and gave up a lot of open shots.
00:23 They made a lot of tough ones, but at the same time, it's gotta be better.
00:27 They gave up a lot of easy transition buckets that when the set
00:31 output defensively, we just went on the same page,
00:35 especially in the first half, kind of picked up a couple of people away.
00:39 And then obviously, a lot of things like you said, so we kind of had it going and
00:43 we didn't have a lot of shots, so we just had to learn.
00:46 >> Did some of that start just like point of attack on the ball,
00:52 seemed like they were kind of able to get into the paint and
00:55 get those runners in the spread of the ball?
00:58 >> Yeah, I think a lot of their style of play is kind of just in that mid-range
01:01 area to take those floaters to try and get inside of the paint and
01:04 look for those open shots.
01:05 But they had that going and then they also were able to get a lot of threes
01:09 throughout the entire game.
01:11 So they just had it really going, honestly.
01:14 We tried to keep them out of the paint to get some of those floaters and
01:18 mid-range jump shots contested, but a lot of them, they're still kind of
01:23 falling for them and when you have that plus the threes on, it's gonna be tough.
01:28 So it just gotta be a little bit better.
01:31 >> Aaron, I know it's not the result you wanted, but
01:34 how did you feel about the efficiency of what you squirted off of them?
01:38 >> Yeah, I mean, I'm just trying to find the easiest shots,
01:42 just to try and contribute to the team.
01:45 Just off cuts, offensive rebound, little things like that, taking the open shots.
01:49 So outside of that, the result obviously is what we want and
01:54 we gotta give a lot of reference to.
01:56 >> Anyone else in the room?
02:00 Take it to the Zoom for one question.
02:02 Christos Saltas, you have a question, go ahead, Christos.
02:06 >> Hello, hope you're doing well.
02:07 What, as a team, as a group, what do you need to do to be more consistent on
02:11 defensive end and taking that position offensive end from your perspective?
02:16 >> Yeah, I mean, just continue to be together on the same page,
02:20 fighting over picking roles, fighting over down screens and things like that.
02:25 And then also in transition, we gotta be better at knowing where a specific
02:29 player, Darvick, got open, open looks in transition.
02:32 And even in the set, offense that they had kind of gone.
02:34 And I mean, when he's hitting shots and
02:36 their team is getting inside the paint, making those floaters and
02:40 making shots, it's gonna be tough for any team to kind of get stops like that.
02:44 So, there's gonna be a little bit better, especially in transition defense.
02:49 And the half court set, just continue to have multiple efforts getting over screen
02:54 and being on the same page, so.
02:56 >> All right, thank you, Aaron.
