00:00 Casey Thunder dot com. Josh, the third quarter you all seem to kind of come out
00:03 with a little bit of a different level of execution, particularly defensively.
00:07 What did you like best about that period? Yeah, well, obviously our first
00:12 half given up 70 or 70 points. Um, you know, we heard about in the halftime
00:16 break and I think we respond to well, we were, we spoke about before the game
00:20 that they love getting to the paint, the second in the league and paint
00:23 scoring and that they were doing whatever they wanted in that first half.
00:26 And I think second half we really cleaned it up, held him to 40 points.
00:29 But I think it's just, you know, not digging ourselves that hold the start
00:32 would have put us in great state to win the game. And, you know, we fall back,
00:35 we got it right to it, you know, to possession game at one point. But I
00:38 think second half defensively, we're awesome. We're in lanes, we're keeping
00:41 them out of the paint, chesting guys. So when we play D like that, you know,
00:45 we're talking to score against and then that's sparks offensive transition.
00:48 Good lineups out there with Teo, Isaiah, V. Lindy Waters, guys that have been
00:56 working in the G League and kind of waiting for these opportunities. How
01:00 good does it feel as a team to see such breakthroughs from from each of those
01:04 guys tonight? Yeah, it's awesome. I love when those guys, you know, get the
01:07 opportunity to play. Obviously, with so many guys out tonight, there was
01:10 obviously going to be opportunity for other guys to come in, play big minutes
01:13 and, you know, credit to all of them, you know, Teo Roby with huge for us
01:16 tonight. Um, Roby, uh, he's been awesome all year. You know, the minutes he
01:21 gets, whether it's short or long, um, he does his job every night. He
01:23 rebounds, he rolls, he finishes well around the ring. He can stretch the
01:26 floor for us. So, um, those guys were awesome and it's great to see, you
01:29 know, guys when other guys are down, other guys step up in their
01:32 opportunities. You and Poku connected quite a few times. Is that just like
01:37 you two can see over everybody? How does that work? We are both big, so it
01:41 helps to see over, but he's a smart player. Pokes a really smart player.
01:44 He's a big guy, so he's easy to see on the floor and, you know, we've
01:48 developed a good connection on cuts. You know, the start of that fourth
01:51 quarter, he hit me on one. I got him on that love. So just kind of playing
01:54 with each other, getting a feel for it.
01:55 Paris Lawson, OKC Thunder dot com. As a fellow point guard, just wanted to
02:01 ask you what you thought of Teo Maladones night coming off the bench.
02:04 You mentioned, you know, those guys have been big. Just what did you see
02:06 from him and his offense? Yeah, huge for us. You know, both ends of the
02:09 floor. Offensively, he was great. Um, you know, when he plays with
02:12 confidence and, as I said, the same about Pope when they play confidently
02:15 and, you know, just they play with with a free mind. They look great out
02:18 there for us and, um, Taylor was huge offensively again to the ring drawing
02:22 fouls in three. So, um, complete package from him tonight. Um,
02:26 defensively, you know, when Wiggs and when, you know, especially when lose
02:29 out on Wiggs goes out of the game, tears that guy that picks up the point
02:32 got him. It was Murray tonight. I think he did an awesome job. He's active.
02:35 He's quick. He's strong. So he gives us a lot on both ends of the floor.
02:39 And when he's playing, you know how we did tonight confidently, he's he's a
02:42 handful for teams to stop.
02:45 Joe Masato, the Oklahoman. Josh, you joined Oscar Robertson is only the
02:50 second rookie in NBA history toe have three straight triple doubles. You've
02:55 obviously had a lot of those stats where you're compared to, um, either
02:59 future or former all timers. Just what goes through your head when you hear
03:03 your name with those other guys? Yeah, I mean, obviously, it's cool to hear
03:07 your name in those kind of categories alongside any greats. I mean, anytime
03:11 you can be mentioned with them, it's good. But, um, yeah, as I as I always
03:16 say, it's always about the team. You know, a win tonight would have been
03:19 great. But, um, as long as we can get back on track as a team, um, that's why
03:23 New York was so special. You know, we got a big win on the road on demand.
03:26 So same thing tonight on demand squad. But the more we can do that, the more
03:30 it can result in winning, you know, the happier I'll be.
03:32 All right, we got one on the zoom. Josh, Christmas.
03:39 Hello, Josh. Congratulations on your third straight double this season. And
03:42 my question is, what do you feel you are? You're shilling as a as a player
03:47 where you feel is your ceiling as about your growth about your progress as a
03:53 player, as a leader, as she's your maker on the floor. Yeah, I mean,
03:58 obviously it's different, you know, with guys out, especially with Shay out,
04:01 um, you kind of puts the ball in my hands a little bit more. So, um, I
04:05 guess that gives me time to grow and learn things on the fly. But, um, you
04:09 know, the more games we play, and I think it's a speak for all the guys,
04:11 you know, you just grow over time. You learn different situations and us
04:15 same for like late game situations. You know, the more times you playing it,
04:18 the more familiar become and more comfortable you come in those
04:21 situations. So I think that's the same with me. I'm just growing, you know,
04:24 learning all the guys around me how we play on. And once we all figure that
04:28 out and we we've got, you know, many games under our belt, I think the
04:31 chemistry kind of is evident on the floor. So, um, yeah, I guess it just
04:34 comes with experience and growing.
