00:00 Mark, you've talked lately about kind of learning that skill of delivering punches
00:06 and not just weathering those storms. What do you think about the way that
00:09 your team did that tonight? Um, yeah, I thought we started both halves pretty
00:13 well, you know, got off to a really good start in the game. Um, and got an
00:18 early grip on the game, which is always helpful. And then I thought coming out
00:21 of halftime, you know, we're up by close to 20, I think. And I think, you
00:25 know, it's tough psychologically in those situations. The team usually
00:29 comes out, the opposing team that's down, comes out ready to go. And I
00:33 thought our guys like they tried to jump the game up a little bit. I
00:36 thought our guys, you know, we're in attack mode and got early control in
00:39 that third quarter. Um, so I thought we did a good job of that tonight.
00:43 Offensively, you know, the offense is just humming all night long. Did you
00:47 see carry over from the Washington game and were you able to build on kind of
00:50 the execution from Tuesday? Um, yeah, you know, I think the last three games
00:56 and the Denver game at home, we scored 95 points, but I thought we really
00:59 moved in the right direction offensively in that game too. And the
01:02 ball didn't go in as much as it did tonight, obviously. Um, but we're trying
01:06 to build a style and we're trying to build an identity. Uh, and we're trying
01:11 to build it on the things we can control. And, you know, shot making is
01:14 the last thing, you know, the last part of the play, you don't have control
01:17 over it. So, um, in that Denver game, we really get off on the right track. Uh,
01:22 and then in Washington, we're good again offensively, and I thought we
01:24 carried it over again tonight. We moved the ball and generated really good
01:27 shots. Next question. What did you think about? Um, they kind of stayed
01:33 with about eight minutes left. People turn out and then it was back up to 18.
01:36 Um, after a couple of minutes, what did you think about that stretch? I thought
01:41 we had two stretches in the second half that were particularly poised, you
01:44 know, where I thought we just we answered really well, um, in a tough
01:48 situation. I mean, they were, you know, coming out of the first half. They I
01:52 think they're boxing, wanting us, um, with Shea, which is a defense you don't
01:56 see every night, and they threw the rhythm of the game off, you know,
01:59 credit them for pulling the lever to try toe. Um, you know, get themselves
02:04 back in the game. But, um, yeah, I thought we did a nice job of responding
02:08 there in the third quarter when it got a little dicey, and I thought the same
02:10 thing happened in the stretch there. We just kind of stayed the course and just
02:14 were pretty committed to the way we were playing all night, you know, give
02:18 or take a couple possessions. The way they're playing shale is, I guess, for
02:21 his older. Oh, well, he was attacking that to start the game. I was, you
02:25 know, he was just in the paint. Um, he had it all going there in the first
02:31 half. He did a really good job of attacking. Um, and I think that was a
02:35 response to that. But, you know, credit the credit him and the team, you know,
02:39 I thought we continued to get really good looks and move the ball around and
02:42 use their aggressiveness against them. And I thought, you know, for the really
02:45 the fourth game in a row for Shea, you know, two of them were struggles, you
02:49 know, Minnesota and Denver. But for the fourth game in a row, he's played a
02:53 style that's kind of ignited our team and, you know, is also best for him
02:58 long term. And I thought tonight was an example of that. But it didn't start
03:01 tonight. You know, he's been kind of in this mode for the last four games or
03:04 so. You get that at season nine threes and three point percentage. Um, I know
03:09 part of that's just them going in. But did you like the lips that you got from
03:13 deep? Yeah, you know, I thought they were, you know, at a certain point
03:16 they were kind of selling out on the paint when the ball get penetrated. And
03:20 so I thought a lot of the looks for quality and I thought, you know, they
03:23 were, they were willing to to live with that tonight. Uh, and to our guys
03:28 credit, we made him. Um, but you have to make the passes and you have to take
03:32 the shots. And I thought our team did that and that's what you can control.
03:35 And I thought we did that tonight.
03:36 Mom and D made his debut for you guys. Just what you see from him. Um, you
03:42 know, he hasn't played since the preseason game where he got hurt. And
03:46 so, um, you know, I didn't have much of an expectation. You know, it's more
03:50 about getting them out there, getting moving a little bit, seeing how he
03:52 looked. Um, and he brings a great, you know, he brings an infectious energy to
03:56 the team, into the game. And I thought he did that. He's a little rusty. You
04:00 know, he hasn't been in practice with us and in the game. So he's a little
04:03 behind on what we've been doing, um, since camp. But, uh, I was impressed
04:09 and I thought he was ready to play. Did a nice job.
04:11 Yeah,
04:15 well,
04:17 yeah, coach, um, had a season high in assist tonight with 32. Um, then you
04:24 have a season high and assist the other night. And, um, the last few games you
04:29 had some very high assist games. That's been much more of an emphasis lately.
04:34 Um, it's those air. The assist numbers are dicey because it's predicated on
04:40 the ball going in. And like I said, I think we played a lot of good games
04:43 this year where, you know, the ball didn't go in as much as it did tonight,
04:47 but we really moved it and we're really trying to build a style of play and an
04:52 identity that's sustainable over time. And so I think we've been on that track
04:56 for the entire season. And we've like I said about the Denver game the other
05:00 night, we've, um, done a nice job of that the last few games, even when we
05:04 haven't had the outcomes that we had tonight. And so, um, we just need to
05:08 continue to invest in that style because it allows everybody to play out of
05:11 advantages and it allows us to be threats at all five positions. Um, and
05:15 we've got, you know, half a season left to continue to build on that. So more
05:19 focused on that than necessarily the outcome of the shots or outcome of the
05:23 numbers. But it is a credit to the way the ball move tonight.
05:26 Anything else?
05:28 Thank you, Coach. All right, guys. Thanks.
05:31 - All right.
