00:00 Josh, in that third quarter,
00:04 Mark was just saying that you guys were able to get
00:05 your defense into the game more
00:07 to kind of turn the game around and get things going in your favor.
00:10 What did that look like for you guys?
00:11 What was kind of the emphasis?
00:12 Yeah, that's right.
00:14 I mean, offensively, I think we were all right,
00:16 missing shots, getting good looks.
00:17 But defensively, I think we were slow.
00:19 We were late in rotations.
00:21 Luke was kind of picking us apart,
00:22 Brunson in that pick and roll.
00:23 So, you know, I think the ball also got sticky
00:26 in the middle of the second, start of the third.
00:28 And then once we cleaned that up, we looked good.
00:30 We got good looks. We started making them.
00:32 We were tight in our shell, made life hard for them.
00:34 So that's what kind of sparked that comeback.
00:37 What's it feel like when you're rolling
00:40 in the middle of that 22-2 run in that third quarter
00:43 and you kind of make the next big push?
00:45 It's good.
00:46 You know, when one person's hot, usually it's a spiral effect,
00:49 and everyone kind of feeds off that energy.
00:51 And, you know, we had our guys off the bench
00:53 come in and bring that spark for us.
00:54 They were great.
00:56 You know, when one guy's up, you know,
00:57 we kind of as a team were all feeding off that energy,
01:00 and it's contagious kind of thing.
01:01 So, you know, it was a big deficit to overcome,
01:04 but we got it right back to the arms reach
01:06 and definitely put ourselves in a chance to win the game.
01:09 Josh, can you walk us through the inbound stats
01:11 there at the end, sort of what your options were
01:13 and what you saw?
01:14 Yeah, there was a few options,
01:16 and I think Ty was the first on the baseline,
01:19 and then there was another one, and then Marcy was on a flare,
01:22 and then Shea was the last one popping back.
01:24 And, you know, when I thought when Shea screened it,
01:28 Marcy was -- they were both going to go with him,
01:29 and Marcy was going to be able to throw a pass.
01:31 I probably shouldn't have.
01:32 I should have probably just waited for Shea to pop back.
01:33 And, you know, in those type of situations,
01:35 it's -- you know, it's easy to look back and say,
01:37 "You should have done this. You should have done that."
01:38 But, you know, during the heat of the moment,
01:40 you know, it's going fast out there.
01:42 So -- but, you know, I'm going to learn from it.
01:45 You know, if I'm going to be trusting those late-game
01:47 situations to have the ball and make the play,
01:49 you know, I've got to be better than that.
01:51 What did you see from Shea tonight?
01:52 He was awesome. You know, it's no different.
01:55 It's -- you know, it doesn't surprise me anymore.
01:56 He's been doing this every night for us.
01:58 He carries such a big load offensively,
02:00 and he never complains.
02:02 You know, he never complains about
02:03 what he's got to shoulder for us.
02:04 So he's such a hassle for teams to guard.
02:06 You know, they throw multiple coverages at him,
02:08 and he was, you know, getting where he wanted all night.
02:10 So when he's like that, you know,
02:12 he's a very hard guy to stop.
02:14 You mentioned all the coverages.
02:16 I mean, they were jumping out with traps really high up.
02:19 They played some film.
02:20 It seemed like they tried to do a lot of different things.
02:23 What do you notice about Shea's sort of just like --
02:25 well, he doesn't look like flustered, really.
02:27 Yeah, he's never rushed.
02:29 That's a, you know, great thing to have for him,
02:32 you know, especially with, as I said,
02:35 the offensive load he has to shoulder.
02:36 Teams are going to come after him.
02:37 They're going to throw different stuff at him
02:39 and then make him kind of, you know,
02:40 put him in those positions to put him under pressure.
02:42 But, you know, the thing about him is he never --
02:44 he never reacts to it. He makes a simple play every time.
02:46 He never tries to over-dribble it or beat it, you know.
02:49 And a lot of the times he can.
02:50 He can dribble out of a trap and then get in the lane
02:52 and do whatever he wants.
02:53 But he moves the ball.
02:54 He understands it's going to be an advantage for us,
02:56 you know, in a four-on-three when he's got two guys on him.
02:58 So, you know, when they throw different stuff at him,
03:00 it doesn't phase him.
03:01 He's ready for all different things.
03:03 You're just giving the follow-up
03:05 for like your three-point shot looks more confident, more --
03:08 I mean, you look like you're putting that thing into --
03:10 that follow-through.
03:12 How are you feeling after that?
03:13 Yeah, it's feeling good.
03:15 You know, been doing a lot of work on it.
03:16 Obviously, struggled earlier in the year,
03:18 but, you know, the last little bit.
03:20 Shots may have fallen for me, but, you know,
03:22 I'm never losing confidence.
03:23 Just going to keep putting them up.
03:26 Thank you, Josh. Thanks, guys.
03:28 Thanks, everybody.
