00:00Joe Masato, the Oklahoman.
00:01Trey, can you just take us through that sequence
00:03when you ripped the ball away from Jokic
00:05and found Wiggins for the behind-the-back pass?
00:10It was just a moment for me to get one of those plays
00:14in that me and Coach talk about all the time.
00:17I was just on the bench, and Shea had one earlier.
00:19He looked at me. He was like,
00:20you see that? Just get in the fight.
00:22Rip his arm off.
00:23So it was a chance for me to do that.
00:25I grabbed it. I got the ball.
00:27And then I just saw Wiggs running with me.
00:30It was three on two, I think.
00:32I saw Wiggs running with me to my right,
00:34and I threw it to my left hand, just threw it behind the back.
00:37It was just in the floor of the game.
00:39I didn't really, like, think about it.
00:40It just happened. So that's what that was.
00:43Given how much Marcus talked about your defense
00:46and the steps you need to take on that end of the floor,
00:48he said, like, this summer is going to be big for you
00:51strength-wise, you know, things like that.
00:54But for now, you just have to be scrappy.
00:56Like, are you taking pride in doing
00:57that sort of stuff this year?
00:59Yeah, for sure. I mean, I'm only...
01:01I can only control what I can control right now.
01:04So, like he said, just being scrappy.
01:07I'm not there yet physically, but, you know,
01:09being strong enough mentally and trying to make those plays,
01:13I can control that. So that's what I'm going to do for now.
01:15And then over the summer,
01:17it's going to be a big summer for me,
01:18just like my freshman year to my sophomore year
01:20was in college.
01:21I'm just trying to put on that weight
01:23any way I can to be better next year.
01:27Nick Gallo, KCThunder.com.
01:29When you all got down, I think, 18,
01:31what's the mindset in that second unit
01:33as you try to push back and try to claw back into that game?
01:36What did you notice out there on the floor with your group?
01:40I'm just trying to bring a spark.
01:42K. Rich talks about it all the time.
01:44We're on the bench, and, you know, we're about to go in.
01:46We'll talk. He'll be like, let's go.
01:47Let's bring that spark and do whatever you can do.
01:48He pick up full-court play defense,
01:50try to make those plays, and I do whatever I can
01:52to try to make the same play to bring that spark to the team.
01:55And, you know, we do that a couple of times.
01:59Like, we did it a couple of times this year,
02:01and we're just going to keep trying to do that.
02:03And the four rookies, I think you all had 38 points,
02:0618 assists, seven steals tonight
02:09against a high-level veteran team.
02:12What's this experience been like,
02:14seeing all four of you get opportunities
02:16and be able to go toe-to-toe with opposing veteran squads?
02:21I think it's just great for us.
02:23It'll help us grow, like, for the future,
02:25us being rooks, getting those reps in early.
02:28I think it's big for us to help our confidence out.
02:31And then just getting the experience,
02:33the opportunities, it's really big for us.
02:38Paris Lawson, OKCThunder.com.
02:40Want to go back to the second unit.
02:42Seemed like there was just a lot of energy from you guys.
02:44Nobody scored less than seven points off the bench,
02:47I think, tonight. Everybody really got into it.
02:48Just what was the energy like within that group
02:51and within that second unit?
02:53I don't know.
02:55It's just going out there and us doing,
02:57like, trying to do whatever we can,
02:58whether that's steals, rebounds,
03:00like, big highlight plays,
03:02just whatever we can to help the team.
03:05But I feel like we do a good job of that.
03:07When we come in, we know what we got to do.
03:08Like, that's our job right now,
03:10coming in and making a spark off the bench.
03:17Go to Trek De Palma.
03:19Hey, Trek. Great game, first of all.
03:22For you guys, you start slow the game.
03:25You made a great turnaround.
03:26What would you like to keep from that game?
03:28And especially you,
03:30what would you like to keep from tonight's game?
03:33Just the way we always come out,
03:36like, games like that when we're down.
03:38We always seem to find a way to fight back into it.
03:41Just show, like, how scrappy we are,
03:43how much we want to win.
03:46So big games like that,
03:48we just always take away the will for us to come back
03:51and try to fight through those games
03:52and talk through those games.
04:01I was just curious, just from your perspective,
04:05you look a lot more confident offensively
04:07to do a lot of different things.
04:09Your step back is obviously something you've done a lot,
04:12but you had the floater as you attacked closeouts tonight.
04:15I'm just curious, you know,
04:17what has helped you the most to gain,
04:19you know, the confidence that you're showing
04:20on the court today?
04:23I might just say the reps, me being out there more,
04:27I just feel more comfortable, more confident.
04:29And then also my teammates and coaches
04:31having the confidence in me, them talking to me before games
04:34and timeouts or whenever they can.
04:36It's just them having confidence in me
04:39and then the reps that I'm getting.
04:44Thank you.
