00:00 What was your mentality heading into this one?
00:02 Coach said you looked really decisive
00:04 and you know what that's about there.
00:07 Like I said, the last time we met,
00:10 it was got to come out more because we're missing,
00:13 you know, Shay, that's a lot of points,
00:14 so I got to come out more aggressive like me for sure.
00:17 And then Coach Mark talked to me before the game.
00:19 He said, "Make them pay for your offense."
00:21 Like, that's why you're out there.
00:23 You're out there to make them pay for your offense.
00:25 And defense, stay in the game
00:27 and play good enough for me to keep you out there.
00:29 But so that's what it was.
00:31 I just came out really aggressive.
00:33 I attacked off of the catch early.
00:35 I saw something go in.
00:36 And then that's what I just -
00:38 that's what I was thinking the whole game, stay aggressive.
00:40 Throughout the whole game, you guys were really
00:42 shooting all-out.
00:43 What did you feel out there
00:45 just as a group collectively on offense and day-to-night?
00:47 We were just making the extra passes.
00:49 Guys were open.
00:51 We had a lot of extra passes
00:53 where guys were able to hit shots.
00:55 I feel like we found our teammates
00:56 almost every time they were open.
00:58 And we just made shots.
01:01 So, your thoughts on these,
01:04 especially in the middle of the time, hit 14.
01:07 It's crazy. It was big, big baskets.
01:10 Like, I didn't know Lou had that in him
01:13 to go get you a bucket like that every time.
01:16 Like, they couldn't stop him from getting to the rim.
01:19 He was hitting pull-up threes.
01:21 Like, Lou looked real good out there,
01:23 and he definitely helped us get that win for sure.
01:25 I'm just going to add,
01:28 you had to play defensively in transition on Donchic early.
01:33 Is that just a continuation of those little scrappy plays
01:35 that you're trying to make two or three on every day?
01:38 Yeah, for sure.
01:39 I mean, I was just in the right position.
01:41 He came to me. I put my hands up trying not to foul,
01:43 and then the ball just fouled my hands.
01:45 So, I was just in there playing, just trying not to foul,
01:48 really, and he put it right there, so I just grabbed it.
01:51 How much of a rhythm were you getting in
01:52 with those step-backs?
01:54 You know, when you catch somebody with one of those
01:56 and hit the three, do you feel the reaction
01:59 and hear the rhythm of the play?
02:01 I mean, yeah, when we're at home,
02:03 but, like, I didn't really hear it tonight.
02:05 But, yeah, for sure, when we're at home,
02:06 I hear it, and then I hear the,
02:08 "What a man" in the background, so, you know,
02:10 that kind of turned me up a little bit.
02:14 Sorry, one more.
02:16 Mark, like, calls you over to get the switch laid
02:18 to help Lou isolate and then you close by.
02:22 I mean, what's it like being in those moments
02:24 in crunch time, executing, coaches calling something out,
02:27 you guys are making it happen?
02:29 That's just what it is, trying to execute.
02:31 Coach called me over there to set the screen,
02:33 try to get somebody into action, but we won it,
02:35 and that's what I did, and then Lou, you know,
02:38 it worked out for us. Lou got a basket,
02:39 so that's what it was. We just executed.
02:42 Chris, go to Salta.
02:46 Hey, Trey, great game, first of all.
02:49 For you, as a rookie in this team,
02:51 to have that confidence from your teammates,
02:53 from the coaching staff, taking the ball in crunch time
02:56 in the fourth quarter and overtime,
02:58 what it means for you?
02:59 How big a confidence booster for you is this?
03:02 It mean a lot to just know that my teammates
03:06 and my coaching staff believe in me.
03:08 It gives me a lot more confidence out there
03:11 and to know that I'm out there for a reason.
03:14 So it was really big for me, especially being on this team,
03:17 getting opportunities to be out there early, like, as a rookie.
03:20 So it's all big for me.
03:23 Andrew Schlecht.
03:25 I'm just curious, your perspective on playing with Josh.
03:32 He can throw pretty much any pass on the court.
03:35 Lots of cross-court passes to you, corners tonight.
03:38 Are you starting to figure out, like, ways to space
03:43 while playing with Josh?
03:45 Like, what kind of adjustment has that been for you?
03:48 You just got to be ready at all times with Josh.
03:51 Sometimes you know he's going to pass it to you.
03:54 Sometimes you don't.
03:56 So, for me, I just try to run hard for him.
03:57 When he got the ball in transition,
03:59 try to run hard to a corner or a slot.
04:03 And usually we make eye contact, so I'm able to be ready.
04:06 But sometimes you just throw it without even looking.
04:08 You just got to be ready at all times.
04:10 Like, the one in the corner I hit tonight,
04:12 we made eye contact at first,
04:14 and he looked away and just zipped it over there.
04:16 It was just -- I was ready for it
04:17 because we kind of looked at each other for a second.
04:20 - Thank you, Gary.
04:21 - Thank you.
04:22 - Okay.
