00:00 Yeah, I think we were really composed.
00:02 Offensively, I think, I mean, we made a lot of big shots.
00:06 Lou and Trey made a lot of big plays for us,
00:07 but, you know, we got into what we needed to,
00:10 to get those guys those looks.
00:12 I don't think we had many.
00:14 I might have had one turnover in overtime,
00:15 but I think we took care of the ball.
00:17 Defensively, we were good.
00:18 We, you know, they were trying to get mismatches on.
00:21 You know, Luke was trying to get people into on balls,
00:23 and we did a good job of kind of hedging
00:24 and keeping Lou on him.
00:26 So both ends of the floor, I think we're really locked in.
00:28 And, you know, it started right at the jump off overtime.
00:32 You could see that we were ready to play.
00:33 Throughout the night, you guys really shot the ball
00:35 well from behind the three-point line.
00:37 Dallas, for the Rockets,
00:38 was the best three-point defending team in the league.
00:41 What were you guys able to get to?
00:42 What made you guys go back?
00:44 Yeah, we moved the ball.
00:45 I mean, we spoke about it at halftime,
00:46 but our ball movement was awesome in that first half.
00:48 It was in the second half in overtime, too,
00:50 but I think that's just, you know,
00:52 when we're driving, defenses are so, you know,
00:55 loaded up on us that we kick at them.
00:56 We got guys that can make shots,
00:57 and tonight you saw that, Trey, you know, Lou, Wiggs.
01:01 You know, so I think just reading what the D is doing,
01:04 tonight they were pretty heavy and low,
01:05 so we had a lot of open threes,
01:06 and we made a lot of them tonight.
01:07 So if we can keep making them, you know,
01:09 we're going to be a really tough team to beat.
01:11 Josh, can you talk us through that inbound pass to K. Rich?
01:15 Yes.
01:16 Well, we drew up a play, and I completely disregarded it.
01:19 And I kind of saw Lucas' back turns,
01:21 and me and K. Rich were just staring at each other.
01:24 We've got a good connection on those inbound passes,
01:25 and I just kind of, you know,
01:27 showed him with my eyes where to go,
01:29 and he ran right in the right spot,
01:30 and I just put it right there for him.
01:31 Is that one where you're throwing through the spot
01:33 knowing he's going to be there?
01:35 Yeah. Yeah.
01:37 Josh, just your thoughts on Lou in overtime.
01:41 He didn't score at all in the fourth quarter,
01:43 and yet he kind of has this wealth of experience
01:46 to draw upon to --
01:48 Yeah. I mean, it speaks for itself.
01:50 You know, the work that he --
01:52 you know, the improvement he's shown year after year,
01:55 the confidence that we have and he has in himself is,
01:58 you know, huge, and we put the ball in his hands in overtime
02:00 and trust him to make the right play,
02:01 and he does every time.
02:03 You know, he's one of those really reliable guys
02:04 that you know what you're going to get,
02:06 and, you know, you've got to give a lot of credit to him
02:09 because the job he does on both ends of the floor,
02:11 he has to chase around the best guy
02:12 every night for 40 minutes,
02:13 and then offensively what he does for us is huge.
02:15 So, you know, he didn't score in that fourth,
02:17 but it didn't rattle him.
02:19 He came out and, you know, won the game for us in overtime.
02:20 How big is his physicality on offense?
02:23 I mean, he gets fouled three times
02:25 against all the street players,
02:26 but he's also got those hard-charging layups
02:28 that you might not get a lot of calls from him.
02:30 He's a freight train. I mean, you don't want to get in his way,
02:32 and when he's getting downhill, he's a tough dude to stop.
02:37 He's strong. He's athletic. He's quick.
02:38 So he's got all the physical tools he needs,
02:40 and when he gets downhill and the head of steam,
02:42 he's really hard, and he's not someone
02:44 you want to get in the way of. So he's good at drawing contact.
02:46 He finishes well around the big -- around the ring,
02:48 and he's not scared of the contact.
02:49 You know, he goes in there, you know, ready to get hit
02:52 and, you know, convert and ones
02:53 or go to the line and make free throws.
02:56 -Going to create some softer from him.
02:59 -Hey, Josh. Great game. Great win, first of all.
03:02 Another double-double for you.
03:03 And my question to you is how comfortable you feel
03:07 when you have the ball in your hands or make plays
03:09 or be on the floor in crunch time?
03:12 -Yeah, very comfortable.
03:14 You know, they're the situations I love to be in.
03:16 You know, those overtime games, when it comes down to the wire,
03:18 they're the situations I love being in.
03:21 You know, whether -- You know, tonight, it was --
03:23 You know, Lou was going off, so you let him have the reins,
03:25 and I'm happy to space and save a tray.
03:27 You know, I'm happy to give those guys the ball
03:29 and let them make plays because that's what they did,
03:31 and then they want us to game in overtime.
03:32 So, you know, just because I'm, you know,
03:35 the point guard, you know, on the night,
03:38 it doesn't mean the ball's going to be in my hands
03:39 the whole time.
03:40 Those guys are really, really high-level,
03:42 you know, capable ball handlers and shot makers and playmakers.
03:44 So, you know, I love having the ball
03:47 and kind of getting us into offense,
03:48 but, you know, leaving the reins to Trey and to Lou
03:50 to go finish the job, you know,
03:53 that's what they're there to do.
03:55 Last one, Jason Bardicow.
03:58 Hey, Josh.
03:59 That elbow pass that you had early in the fourth quarter,
04:02 you kind of dimed a pass right to Trey Mann,
04:06 and that pass helped him overarch his career high in points.
04:11 Kind of walk me through how that play developed,
04:14 and did he say anything to you thereafter that play happened?
04:18 No, he was ready.
04:20 I mean, the defense, as I said earlier,
04:22 the defense is so loaded up, and, you know,
04:25 that's the dude, you know, whose hands we want the ball in,
04:27 in those situations, and as soon as I saw him open,
04:29 I hit him, and, you know, he did it all night for us,
04:31 made plays, didn't have a 30 ball,
04:34 but he did his thing all night, got the job done for us.
04:37 So he was huge for us all game, and as I said,
04:39 him and Lou really went up for us in overtime.
04:42 Thank you, Josh.
04:45 You take my drink?
