00:00Since coming back from his injury,
00:01Shea Gildas Alexander has been on
00:03quite a tear and his game against
00:05the Sacramento Kings has been his
00:07most impressive Gildas Alexander
00:08finished with 37 points on 12 of
00:1016 shooting from the floor and
00:12if that wasn't insane enough,
00:14he went three for three from the
00:16perimeter as well as recorded 10 assists.
00:19Coach I'm not said the key is
00:21the pace that she plays with.
00:23He's been faster since the new year.
00:25You know, I think the way he's
00:28you know, I think.
00:31Like as a rough point of demarcation,
00:33you know, I think he's been faster
00:35in transition and then playing
00:36quicker in the actions.
00:39That does a lot.
00:40You know, first of all,
00:41it doesn't build the defense out it.
00:43There's a lot of plays where the
00:45defense can't load him up the way
00:47they can if he's slower.
00:48It helps the team play in more of a
00:50rhythm and you know get the possession
00:52started with some pace and then the
00:54other thing is you know we haven't
00:56talked about this a lot lately,
00:58but he shot a lot about the dribble threes
01:00and he shot a low percentage on those
01:02lower than we would expect lower
01:03than he did last year.
01:05But if you remove his off the dribble
01:07threes that he takes at the end of
01:09the shot clock, he's actually shooting
01:10like close to mid 30s on that shot,
01:12even though he shot it more poorly.
01:14So what that tells you is he's ending
01:16up with the ball a lot at the end
01:18of the shot clock.
01:19Well, if he's the one initiating
01:20the possession and he's initiating
01:22it faster, he could actually be
01:23removing some of those plays where
01:25he's ending up with the ball.
01:26Because if we're playing faster
01:28in transition or faster in the action,
01:30hopefully the exposure risk of ending
01:31up with the ball at the end of the
01:33shot clock is lower, so it actually
01:35has a little bit of a domino effect
01:37on his shooting efficiency.
01:38Believe it or not,
01:39because if you isolate just the shots
01:40he's taking in the middle of the
01:42shot clock off the dribble,
01:43he's actually, you know,
01:44not nearly as poor as he is when
01:46you add those shots that he's kind
01:48of heaving at the end of the clock.
01:50Another player that has impressed
01:51coach Stagnalt as well as tail
01:53Maladon has been Vite Crecci.
01:55He scored 10 points in last night's
01:56contest as well as recorded five rebounds.
01:59Still learning him, you know,
02:00just because of the limited time he's had,
02:03but he just has a really
02:04good sense offensively.
02:05That's the one thing I'd say.
02:06He understands spacing.
02:07He understands timing in terms
02:09of setups in terms of cuts.
02:10You know he definitely has great.
02:14He just got a great sense.
02:16That's the best way I could put it,
02:17and it's just like learning what
02:19he can get into the game right now.
02:20I thought he had a couple of plays
02:22last night where he like got himself
02:23a little bit of a finish.
02:24He had a couple of good looks from
02:26three that didn't go down,
02:27but like I like how he's playing
02:28on that end of the floor.
02:30And like I said,
02:30it's still the honeymoon phase with him,
02:32and I'm still like just like happy
02:34for the guy that he's getting this
02:35opportunity and he's worked himself
02:37back from injury and as his body
02:38work grows will get a better sense
02:40of where we need to take his
02:42development from here.
02:43Obviously had a tough injury
02:45the past season, but.
02:48He kept composure and kept working
02:50through it being professional,
02:51being on time, being early,
02:52making sure he's getting extra work.
02:54And now they got a chance to get on the floor.
02:58It's pretty sure he loves it.
03:00He was talking about it.
03:01I heard to not be able to be on
03:04the court because of injury and so
03:07I'm really happy to see him on the
03:09court and having fun out there.
03:13Obviously, I mean,
03:14he hasn't played for so long.
03:16Just getting back on the court.
03:17Of course, it's gonna have to.
03:19Get his rhythm back and everything,
03:21but I feel like it's being
03:22pretty good for him.
03:23Coach Dagnall did say today that
03:24Aaron Wiggins will not be playing
03:26in the Thunders next game against
03:27the Nuggets and also will not be
03:29traveling to Denver.
03:29But Speaking of the Nuggets,
03:31Coach Dagnall did say today why
03:32preparing for Yokich always brings
03:34its own set of challenges.
03:35Lot of guys in the NBA that
03:37passed the ball like him,
03:38and there's not a lot of teams that
03:40cut with the precision that they
03:42cut with because they know if they.
03:43If they're open,
03:44they're going to get the ball.
03:46It's kind of like what we get out
03:48of giddy onside out of bounds like
03:49our guys are going to cut harder
03:51outside bounds plays than most teams
03:53because our inbounder has the ability
03:54to find them and you can catch teams
03:56on that because they don't see that
03:58every night. That's what's hard about.
03:59Yo, could you don't see him every night?
04:01You don't see him beat every night.
04:03You don't see Curry every night,
04:04you know, and that's why when you see them,
04:06Giannis, you know,
04:07like you, you see transition guys
04:08with a head of steam, but not at 610.
04:12They're coming at you like a freight train,
04:13so that's why those guys are the best players,
04:16and that's why they're hard to prepare for.
04:17You didn't think there was going to be a
04:18practice report without me asking Coach
04:20Dagnold about Baisley's rapper debut,
04:22did you? Today, Coach Dagnold found out
04:25that Baisley named himself quote
04:27best rapper in the NBA and released
04:30his tease yesterday.
04:31Here's Coach Dagnold's reaction.
04:33That's news to me.
04:36I'll check it out though.
04:38How is it?
04:39It's pretty good, it's alright.
04:40Is it like an album?
04:42No, no, it's probably like about 45 seconds
04:45to a minute, I think.
04:46He just like put it out on Twitter,
04:48which I guess.
04:49Like his entire catalog, or?
04:51That's all he's given us so far.
